dirtsucks, dont worry. Here in jersey the kids have square dancing courses in the public schools. lol. so glad mommy decided to send me to a catholic school. johnjug, go for it! (half kidding) that would be hilarious. Its funny that we all sit inside of buildings all day, wishing we were out at the dropzone. In my first period class (read: 9am and im half asleep) I found the perfect seat. Its in the far back corner and theres a huge window right next to it. It looks out over the campus courtyard, which i might add, is big enough to land in. Ive got it all planned out. I come down over the building i sit in, glide in for a few feet, stay high enough that i avoid the two trees that sit dead center and land in the far corner of the field, inbetween 3 buildings... The field is weird shaped, almost like two squares touching corners but sitting on an angle. It would take some fanagling, but you could land it easy. Just gotta avoid the narrow center part to reach the second field. Oh, by the way. this one bitch always nabs my seat if she gets to class before me.. lemme just say, after what i said to her like the 10th time she did that, she wont be sitting anywhere near my dream seat anymore! a girl needs something to stare longly at. :) I know if its a windy day cause i watch how peoples clothes are blown around and i watch the trees sway. .... you know youre a skydiver when..... froggie

josh, okay. ive taken some time to think about this one.. the most embarrasing thing i ever did was when i was 15. me and my ex had just broken up and we were all hanging out in these woods, next to a shoprite grocery store. well, me and him started fighting and somehow we ended up in the front of shoprite screaming inapropriate things at eachother. ANother memory, funny enough its another shoprite memory : me and a different ex decided to put on halloween costumes (cow costumes), put baby powder and black makeup all over our faces, and skateboard thru the isles at shoprite at 3am. The night crew got a really good laugh out of that one. i have a feeling that if you ask this same question sometime this summer than i can add "belting out the lyrics to Build me up buttercup" with stacy while dancing on the tiki bar :) that girl is gonna bring me down :) lol froggie

Too bad my parents werent like MikeD and able to educate me about parachutes and all. but youre right, wonder how many other skydivers out there use to get all excited when it was gym day in thier elementary school and they were gonna play with the tarp? thanks guys for the feedback. im still going thru the whole student status aspect and im trying to find the best ways to do things. Im getting more and more familiar with packing. I took a really extensive packing course from our main packer last week. spent monday afternoon watching/learning/helping three other people pack their chutes.. all very experienced jumpers. But im really learning the most from the one who would be packng my chute if i choose to have somebody pack it. So im picking up his style of packing. Thaks for the advice. much appreciated. froggie

mike, that is the cutest thing ive ever heard! your daughter sounds like a jem. is that parachute game the one where you hold on to it all around and throw a ball in the middle and bounce the ball? hey all. I have a question. I was talkign to stacy and she told me that her friend has 900 skydives and never had a mal. And my AFF instructor has been jumping since 96 and has only had two mals. He said that they were both in the beginning, before he really had a lot of jumps under his belt. The thing is, both of these people pack their own chutes. In fact, Rick told me that hes considered Anal cause of his precise pack jobs. My question is, how many of you have had mals that you packed? mals that somebody else packed? im thinking that maybe packing your own rig everytime lowers your chances of a mal. just as long as you have a good technique. what do you guys think? froggie

Also, on the main screen, in the bottom right hand corner there is a poll about who you think is gonna make the highest halo jump... there may be links there. im not sure though.
