I just thought of something, since you can't jump yet, maybe you could try getting some tunnel time? I'm not sure what the age limitation is, but it would probably be pretty fun for you, and might help for when you do start to skydive. Odd, Columbia House sent me Armegeddon (by mistake? I didn't order it, and it wasn't a directors selection I forgot to decline) and it arrived 9/10 with American History X, and Fight Club. I remember 9/10 I watched American History X and held a new found appreciation for tolerance of races etc, then the next morning, BLECH..... I tried going to classes, but was too stressed out and wanted to keep in touch with all that was going on in our nation. I stopped by a gas station run by middle-easterners on the way home which I frequented quite often and while inside paying commented on how freaky all this stuff was only to get a look that made me feel like I didn't even exist. I was so confused, I had often chatted with these people and thought they were cool people, and all of a sudden they gave me the most uncomfortable feeling I had ever experienced. 0:4:0 Well, I was hoping to have a kickass weekend of skydiving since I lost my job last Wednesday and then contracted some horrible kind of sickness that cleared up Friday, but it's been mediocre at best. I finally got my canopy back, and that was a nice cheer-me-upper though Saturday I did 2 jumps with my 4-way RW team, they went well, on the first landing I misjudged my swoop being used to the bigger (and older style) canopy. Second one I NAILED the riser carve and got the best swoop I've ever had, and more than I could have even hoped for, of course, nobody saw it. Then I did a semi-demo HnP from 3.5 and had MAJOR line twists that took me a looooong time to kick out of. Sunday was slower, I was diverdrivin most of the day and only got one jump with the team, botched the approach and got to practice my flare turns to landing (gusty winds, probably for the best anyway). But seeing as I'm unemployed now, my weekend's not really over and I'm going jumping tomorrow too, finally some solo time to get back to my freeflying practice. -- Give them a sip of the darkside, and they just thirst for more.

I have to disagree with this one, when I was packing to leave my college apartment I found a bottle of Corona that was green. I thought this was funny because I didn't remember Corona making green beer for St Paddys Day or anything, but figured I might have just killed enough brain cells to not remember, so I cracked it open... Just had a wierd one last night.. Was doing some FF with a pretty much RW only buddy, got down to pull altitude and then saw the canopy still cocooned, with line twists over 3/4's of the way down the lines. Then it started spinning violently and got rid of all the line twists, but still wouldn't open. Finally chopped it, pulled the reserve, nothing, then hit the ground (Stand up landing, 5' from the windsock) and then the reserve pilot chute popped out. Nobody else seemed to think this was at all out of the ordinary.

I think it comes down to me just hating being on this planet between my flying, and skydiving and all...

Don't think so... I had a friend who was having a party in his apartment, and this one guy who turns into a total asshole when he gets drunk threw the roomates kitty off the 12th story and it died. He didn't have the heart to tell the roomate what happened so she posted "Lost Cat" flyers all over the place. Reminds me of a similar thing that happened to me a while ago. I usually leave my goggles clipped to my helmet which is clipped to my cheststrap, and as we got to the get ready altitude I started looking for them and couldn't find them. People in the plane were helping me look for them for awhile when I finally realized that they were around my neck, boy did I feel stupid.
