I was looking at that earlier, downloaded it and wanted to make a post about it... Very cool pic. Wonder how that one turned out? -- Dude, where's my raft?

    New PD Website

You can get to it if you click on powered parachutes from the temporary home page http://www.performancedesigns.com -- Dude, where's my raft?
  4. LMAO... Would be great on video when she's having her first child..
  5. DSL, dynamic IP -- Dude, where's my raft?
  6. I didn't vote though. Safety and Training - Cutaway Procedures by Skydivemonkey And there was also another in Talk Back recently... -- Dude, where's my raft?
  7. I was taught the USPA method, 2 hands per handle in my FJC. This is also what I practiced every time after gearing up, and in the airplane. Cutaway 1 - Low speed, really hard opening blew out two end cells. In hindsight I probably could have landed it, but that was on jump 39, and didn't feel comfortable with it. -I used the 1 hand per handle method (cutaway pillow/metal reserve handle) Cutaway 2 - High Speed, collapsed pilot chute, borrowed gear, jump 40. -Again 1 hand per handle (cutaway pillow, reserve pillow) -- Dude, where's my raft?
  8. Somebody neglected to tell Pete to do gear checks before leaving the airplane -- Dude, where's my raft?
  9. Don't worry, your not missing too much. The building looks like it was designed in SimCity or soemthing like that. I guess it's good if you need a laugh though.
  10. If there is going to be a "No fly zone" within 5 miles, why are there four helicopter landing pads? -- Dude, where's my raft?
  11. ...Gettin jiggy with it -- Dude, where's my raft?
  12. Just don't pull a Val on me.. -- Dude, where's my raft?
  13. Definitely. I only met Mike and Kim at our DZ in December, but they are some really cool people. (Plus it's a good excuse to go to another boogie) -- Dude, where's my raft?
  14. This is something I don't understand, people carrying hook knives as a safety device and using them to cut off gear check tags, etc. So if/when the time comes that it might be needed it's pretty close to useless. -- Give them a sip of the darkside, and they just thirst for more.
  15. Wow, small world, same Mike and Kim that I've been jumping with lately. Woohoo, gonna meet more dotcommers..
  16. Sounds good, try sites like http://www.mysimon.com/ to shop around for the best price around to shop to Sears. I'm looking forward to getting my BEER camera when the PC101 comes out.
  17. Thanks Clay, I've been teaching myself freefly b/c I'm jumping at an R-Dubya DZ, when I started getting stable HD I notice I was relying on my arms a lot, then when I was in TN and got some ground school coaching from an AD I remember him commenting on how he could signal to others with his hands which caused me work on relying on my legs for stability, and I do feel like I've improved quite a bit. Though I still don't feel confident enough to do FF with others. I tried a 3 way sit a couple of weeks ago, and *sucked*. I think I was used to being on my own and focusing on my body position, but with others I kept going into spins and sucking overall, very embarrasing when I thought I was doing ok at a sit, to go out with somebody with video, hoping to see myself doing well, and just sucking. Going to try looking for a job tomorrow, then to Clewiston Wednesday for a day of FF coaching. -- Give them a sip of the darkside, and they just thirst for more.
  18. I sure hope it doesn't, in my optimistic mind, but I'm sure it probably does.. I see your point, and thinking about it, I see how you've had such difficulty explaining what you really meant in the posts.. -- Give them a sip of the darkside, and they just thirst for more.
  19. Hrm, my opinion on this is different... I hate to disagree with you Billvon, especially since I'm just a newbie, but I think of the AAD debate as using all of the tools available to save your life in case somebody has an accident. It's great if the 10 way team makes it into the formation 1000 times without a collision or hard dock, but what if on number 1001 somebody gets a bit overzealous, or just flubs the dive? Poop happens, I sure don't rely on an AAD, I did around 40-50 jumps in my short career without one when I was borrowing stuff, why not have every *potential* life saving device working in your favor? -- Give them a sip of the darkside, and they just thirst for more.

    Oh yeah.
  21. Uhm, do you happen to know the jump-bunny's name? I was just invited to a wedding that will be taking place at the Richmond Boogie by a guy named Mike here in FL -- Give them a sip of the darkside, and they just thirst for more.
  22. 1 (number of loads I flew that landed nowhere near the airport) : 5 : 0 Nothing really exciting this weekend, I sure miss the Casa.. Congrats on your two standups Jess, and good work on posting the format for weekend numbers. Phree, any speculation about what caused the Nitron to shred? -- Give them a sip of the darkside, and they just thirst for more.

    My life...

This is just my whacked out theory, but I think sometimes life has to suck so that we can appreciate the good times, otherwise the good times wouldn't be so good, they would just be normal. Hope stuff gets better for you soon. -- Give them a sip of the darkside, and they just thirst for more.
