Polls are still down... No, but I did reply to the one where you could get a diploma by mail. I got a call back and was quoted $3600 for a Masters/Doctorate Degree. I laughed and hung up. They kept calling me and emailing, and finally I got a great scholarship and I can get my Masters and Doctorate for $360. LOL...

Yikes, hope you're feeling better Jess, enjoy the Vicodin. As for me... 2 (number of phone calls I wish I hadn't missed) : 3 : 1 Have I mentioned how much I hate Florida summers. Totally rained out Saturday, and was only able to get 3 loads in on Sunday. Beer for first time dumping in a sit (gotta love the Cobalt)

Oh my god, another side effect of hypoxia rears it's ugly head. Honestly, I think you might be too quick to give up on this sport. I only know you through reading your posts on this forum and through chatting with you in the pub, but it seems to me that you have a deep-rooted love for the sport. Face it, there are some DZ's out there that are damned near incestuous with their cliques, whether they mean to be or not. Sometimes it just takes awhile to break through the barrier. I'm not in a good frame of mind to post much more about this now, but will get back to you soon. Stay positive chica. -- Come to the dark side

Thanks all for the well wishes, but this wasn't my camera (thank goodness) I found this on rec.skydiving (what else to do on a crappy rainy Saturday). There hasn't been any information about what caused it to come off yet, but I will post it if/when it comes up. -- Come to the dark side

I just flew with mine as carry on in a gear bag over Memorial Day weekend. Was really no big deal, on the way up I didn't get one look. On the way back I got stopped in security, they asked if parachutes were allowed as carry-on, I replied yes, and was on my way. I would reccomend tieing a pullup cord around the reserve handle because of the random searches as you board the plane, in case you aren't paying attention for a second while one person is prodding you with the metal detecting wand and the other is pulling on all the shiny stuff on your rig. Bring the Cypres card if you have one, and if they ask, it measures altitude and releases the reserve parachute. No it doesn't have CO2... (Don't mention the words cutter, explosive charge, yadda yadda) -- Come to the dark side

I haven't seen either video, I'll just keep buying canopies made out of that nice non-slippery ZP until I learn to pack better. I did try to pack a very new Xaos 108 a while ago, just because I imagined it would be easier to pack due to the smaller size... Hrm, I used expletives I didn't know I knew..

Oops, I didn't realize the neighbor was a skydiver also.. In that case, my next suggestion would be to give up and start partying with them, but b/c of your occupation, I guess that wouldn't be such a good idea either... hrm, I'm stumped -- Come to the dark side
