  1. Search for Micro MV on this forum (make sure to select search all posts) I was totally stoked about the IP series when they came out because of the size, but found that they aren't really that well suited for skydiving. -- Hook high, flare on time
  2. Fly em like they're stolen... because they probably are
  3. I kept chocking... I just don't think man was meant to snort liquid through his nose..
  4. I've heard of those, but never tried them. At least i don't think i have.... If you had a "mind eraser", then how could you remember??? eh?
  5. http://marineturbine.com/superbike/default.htm I spose you'll have to find your own water trailer with sharks though...
  6. Why not get a Hornet, try it for the 31 days, and if you're not happy, return it... -- Hook high, flare on time
  7. Why? You've never heard of a pair of scissors? Swapping out gear is probably something you want to involve your rigger in anyways, so making some things a bit more labor intensive can have benefits. It would be nice to be able to buy a container that came with the PC size you desired though, instead of buying a container and having to chop it up right away.. but that's just my opinion -- Hook high, flare on time
  8. Nice looking canopy, thats almost exactly what I had decided for my cobalt, except I wanted black stabilizers. I ended up getting a Heatwave with the same colors (minus the black diamonds) I like it a lot..
  9. I had one spinner on a 135 from horrid body position and dumping too low, and great openings on a 150 that I demoed for around 70 jumps. The 150 I was demoing did spank my instructor and one other person that jumped it, but never me. I dumped in a track most of the time, sit quite a few times, head down a couple of times, always beautiful. I didn't do the best pack jobs either, basically, I would clear the d-lines gently push the nose in, quarter the slider, and roll the piss out of the tail. I never tried psychobagging because I was afraid due to the nonstandard openings. I do notice that I started to shift in the harness a lot more to steer it through the opening. That was wierd for me to do while not touching the risers at first, but as time went on I got more used to it. I did have closed end cells occaisionally that I cleared by pulling on the rear risers until they open. They say to use a deep flare with brakes I believe, but I like to take care of post opening things before popping toggles. I don't have the experience to say what could be causing your problem, note my signature before taking any advice from me..
  10. I fly a C-182, and in all the situations I can think of I would prefer people to clear, pull, and let the airplane get down first... In other words, if you have a Velocity 79, don't spiral down and beat the airplane that way. I don't want to have to look for canopy traffic, other airplanes, a landing field at the same time, while trying to identify, fix or mitigate whatever problems I'm having with the airplane. Of course I am going to be looking for canopies and other airplanes while figuring out where to land, and taking care of the airplane, but it would be nice to make my job a little bit earsier. I think more towards the direction that both will lose. The airplane, broken or not will more than likely sustain major damage, or lose substantial controllability with a skydiver impact, or a canopy getting wrapped somewhere. *Note, this is just my opinion, I haven't had or seen any skydiver/plane collisions, but I have had a large bird strike. Let me finish by saying I'm still a fairly new diverdriver (tm) and I welcome any suggestions corrections or whatever from the more experienced people out there -- Hook high, flare on time
  11. I'll be there, don't know about a record attempt, I forgot how to belly fly, mebbe we could make it a hybrid or something -- Hook high, flare on time
  12. Don't know, you have to be registered to see whatever the link was to, but I did get an email (spam? haven't read it yet) from them today saying to join the new online skydiving community... -- Hook high, flare on time

LOL, I would love to see pictures of the line for that (sagebrush rolling by...)
  17. There are so many versions of that drink, i copied and pasted the first one i found. I searched more and found what sounds like a better version just for you.
  18. Maybe he needs to find a new drink..... Liquid Sunshine: 1/2 oz. each: Triple Sec, Creme de Banana, White Creme de Cacao, & Galliano, Splash of Orange juice Or i suppose he can make his own version..... I usually hate bananna flavored stuff... I'll give it a try though -- Hook high, flare on time
  19. How can this be? I thought he was "easy" when he drinks. Perhaps he doesn't drink much. I wish I could remember the context of that being said...
  20. What the hell are you talking about? I saw the unmistakable flash of metal as your tongue lolled drunkenly out of your mouth back at Memorial Day.
  21. Do it. I dare you. I don't have the experience in the area...
  22. Does it involve a tongue piercing? That sounds like it has the makings of a new thread in it...
  23. 1 (number of felons aided and abetted ) : 4 : 1 Saturday after the beer light came on some naked guy on a bike claiming to have been beat up by 4 others rode up asking for some clothes, so the DZO chucked him an old student jumpsuit and we gave him a ride to his house. Somebody got the idea to call it in to the police at which time we found out he was just released from prison the day before, and that day he had done some bad things to a local woman, and tried to run over a police officer before he stripped off all his clothes and ran. Beer for jumping my new canopy. Heatwave 135 with plus sized slider. Best word I can think of to describe the openings is "spooky". Not scary, just wierd, throw out, don't feel much look up to see what the canopy is doing, and there it sits fully open. Very wierd. -- Hook high, flare on time
  24. I just got a few jumps on a Heatwave 135 with the plus sized slider this weekend, and thought it opened great. It didn't seem too snively. The openings were wierd, a couple of times I looked up thinking there would be nothing there, but the canopy was fully open.. Very nice -- Hook high, flare on time
