  1. Blowing up takes an almost perfect percentage of Gas to air ratio. More insidiously dangerous and more common probability of Death by gas inhalation.
  2. A couple of years ago on a flight with my rig, during the descent my neptune started beeping. I was making an effort to silence the audible alarm right when an attendant was walking by, noticed it Beeping and exclaimed " whats that"!?! Like it was some remote detonator for something bigger that I might have checked. It took a more than a few seconds to convince her I was a skydiver and that its simply an altimeter. I should have just held it up to my ear as a really stylish cellphone and gave her international "shush" I'm on the phone look.
  3. You can rent a cello, buy new luggage and meet two new people when you get there. There is plenty of cozy room in a mooney for one dedicated hot chick navigator keep in mind.
  4. Nope, it's for real. EG emailed me the other day and offered to send a Volturius demo suit within a few weeks. I think the semi-rigid, yet still flexible, sail material is an excellent idea (I'm assuming this is similar to what the blade will have). My Aerodyne kite has ribs like this too. I got the same email. After looking at the Cuben fiber web page I had the same assumption. That material looks expensive. Well its official parallel universe conversion.
  5. Based on the names I think Lou is pulling our collective legs. The rigor mortis, come on? On the other hand Lou is pretty straight up. I bet some jokester hyjacked the keys to his .com sign on. But if by some chance there has been a parallel universe vortex conversion and its all true then my suit is still better than his.
  6. I shouldn't open my mouth. This many hours past and it is propably coming out of your pores, try not to sweat.
  7. There are people who have a great deal of RW experience but still don't get the principles when its done in a wingsuit. Mostly because it is moving the second the base leaves and not just while on the hill. Second, unless the group gets a special jumprun the whole formation will have some turns in it. jumpers with CReW skills will do better here. How to chase a formation. How to fly a slower or faster wing during the turn and what that sight picture should look like.
  8. Back to back means you jump one suit and in the next 30 minutes you jump the other. Hopefully with a known jumper along on both flights to help as a benchmark. You probably didn't have them both at the same time,....Shame, shame.
  9. Size, SIZE. Bro I think its mora bout color. Jelly red, jelly blue, jelly pink....... I think we ( guys ) are in trouble when they teach those things to shoot glitter. How will we ever compare after that!
  10. Well lets keep the background furniture / sporting hardware down to nonvisible minimum. Its too distracting. Lets stick with flesh and nylon!
  11. Yes I'm completely finished with all of the midget porn on the internet and I'm guessing he is about a few seconds away from posting some fresh midget porn that I haven't seen yet.
  12. I watch a shit gob of porn. Not addicted, I can stop at any time. But it does worry me when I'm watching a scene and think that ( enter: sofa, bed, wet bar) would look really good in my place. I'm currently really liking Sunshine's new avitar. I have seen her tits before, mind you, but the new avitar does not feature distracting furniture. Its what I call pure!
  13. Its a lot more fun to fly relative to him while he is the inverted rabit w/ video. See who blinks first to pitch. Damn he always wins. One day I'm going to get a setup like his and maybe even draw a bead of sweat from him.
  14. Most wingsuit flyers I've seen these days have no idea what relative work is, and it would be a great improvement to their flocking knowledge if they studied the dynamics of how large RW formations are built, and flown aswell.
  15. Scott C is the only person that I know of who owned both the older standard phantom and the newer back inlet updated one. It would be a shame if he told us that the northern weather didn't permit him back to back comparisons.
  16. A lot of really good information about bridle/PC stowage in this tread! I will also second Mcc on these pictures Matt great shots!
  17. Also a foam insert could be carved to a complex shape easily. When Pheonix first announce the V-1 I thought that this was exactly what Robi did with the leading edge foam ( described ). I couldn't wait to see how the leading edge would be kept from rotating on the "spar". I am happy with the non-profiled foam.
  18. All of my suits very clean but my arm hair still winds its way through the arm zipper.
  19. I doubt mylar is needed ( bare in mind ) I don't know how big/small this part is or if it is even offered in the phantom. Normaly Mylar is used to keep large leg wings trailing edges from oscilating and for a few BASE related advantages. If the performance is just as good with the back vents as without ( haven't flown the suit, only the ACRO) I would go for this option. I know several excellent back flyers that will lead a full flock, 2 plus minutes, on their backs.
  20. This belongs in the animal planet forum not here!........... Oh, and my wingsuits is better than yours too!
  21. Is there an un official birdman site?
  22. Make him a dealer and you can call it a day. Or you can do one of the Pope style telephone blessings. (Waves hands around) "in the name of the designer, the manufacturer and the holy flocker- you are now an instructor" -Poof- "here is your patch"! I know you must have a father Guido Sarduchi costume in the monkeybago somewhere that would give the proceedings a nice touch.
  23. I'm due for a good wingsuit event! Shuks, I'll take a bad wingsuit event with good weather.
