Buy a chunk of land with an air field on it and start a ( you guessed it ) DZ. Non Skydiving activities will include a very well equipt wind tunnel, Large skate park with 25' pro bowls, large wave pool and not the current wimpy intermittent oscilating wave type. I'm talking perpetual standing wave and tube large enough to stand up in and deep enough for real boards so we can banzai forever. Indy car race course with cars. Small lake for the wake boarders and jet skiers. And a personal aircraft to take me away from my troubles and visit others DZ's and boogies. Lets say a harrier, the two seat trainer version so the hotties can do slide off the wing tip hop & pops. Uh I think I'm gonna need some more money, ya. Glen

When I bought my first used rig a 1990 vintage vector2 I had a few concerns about how freefly safe it was. I approached my rigger about mods like tuck tabs for the riser covers and a small flap or tuck slot for my reserve cover flap. Well we all know the answer for velcro riser covers is fresh velcro but he said for the reserve flap I couldn't have any mods done without violating its TSO. Then again I received advice for getting the crew mod done to it when I posted about useing a vector 2 for crew on the crew forum. What can be done legally? Glen

I got one and love it! A V-2 it fits my 135( what it is sized for) nicely and my 120. I don't think I could put a 150 or 105 in there, something you MAY be able to do on a Vector , infinity, mirage because of the way the closing loop is held on those models. I like the way the VooDoo looks, say distinctive and mine does not have the vagina patch on it making it even more uniqe. I bought it used, didn't pick the colors or options and it isn't sized perfect for me but still fits me quite nicely. I love how it feels on the ground and in flight. I got lucky on this second hand rig and yes I would buy another one no problem. Glen.

Sorry to hear it man. Got a lot of good advice from others here. Happened to me first time forgave her, although I didn't regain trust. Happened again a year later . Fool me once bad on you fool me twice, ya know. You don't need someone ripping you apart in your personnal life. My reward for being weak the first time was another slap in the face. Someone else said think about what she( and the relationship ) mean to you. I say think about what YOU mean to you, can you live with this happening again. Cutaway your single its easy. Can you imagine splitting up later. Married with kids, vacation homes, several rigs . The lawyers get everything. Now she gets nothing! Love will find you again, but this time be true to you. Glen

[ The Diablo and the Spectre are totally different. The Diablo has much more aggressive shaping to it; it flies and turns much faster than a Spectre of the same size and it lands more like a 9 cell. I understand the dangers of a faster canopy, more speed= more energy. And the dangers of a canopy that turns too easy for a novice, overcorrect or react and turn yourself into the ground. But I don't understand the dangers of a 9 cell approach and flare compared to a 7 cell other than it being flatter. Are you sure the Diablo of the same size is faster than a similar sized spectre? I have personally flown both but just not in the same size so I have nothing to compare directly. Although I don't hick it flares like a 9 cell at all. Glen I'd class a Diablo with a Stiletto. Nobody with 70 jumps would be buying one from me. Like the Stiletto (and other higher performance canopies), you must have perfect body position on opening; seen quite a few line twist cutaways on Diablos.

The spectre opens better, flys better, flares better and resells better. They can be "in demand" even after a thousand jumps on it. 28 is NOT too little experience for one and 10,000 jumps is not too much to still be flying one. Ask Lisa what she loves about hers and why. Glen

Don't forget the ones that have to work both thursday and the day after. We have law enforcement, medical, utility and all the service men and women( who may not get a day off in quite somw time). At least I'm off Friday Glen

Do you have second rig? And if you do is it set up with a similar canopy/ harness handles as the first or a different set up for other types of flying? And finally if it is different are there any pros and cons to doing this? I know TM's fly different systems on the same day but they have mucho experience. Most of the guys that I personnaly know that have two rigs have very similar setups. Lets say what about someone between 100 and 1000 jumps. What do you guys think. Glen.

I only liked the first book the rest of um are too matt helm ish . I have his half hour video show about red cell its good for what it is. Clancey paints a broader picture but I enjoy his non fiction works better also.

Purple or pink is not a sin and sapps are just saps. Any color can look sharp in the right context. My colors are black and purple but it just worked out that way. Half my gear is nearly new but used and for every remark about purple I get many more about how good it looks overall, I didn't pick em. And I like your colors too. Glen.
