  1. Deuce, Dude. I am not a fan of any patches or appliques of any kind to wingsuits due to large sums of parastic drag cancelling out the very reason we spend the extra bucks for the more performing skyflyers Vs the classics and GTI..... BUT.....Deuce......Dude You Have too get the superman or superwingman logo ON THAT SUIT asap! PS just make sure its a streamline installation is all I'm saying. Did you get the wings container specific for this suit?
  2. Actually its kinda cool. I kind of like smelling the two stroke mix. Its even better if you get to wear leather face's mask chainsaw massacre.
  3. Its air conditioned, I imagine heated also since he takes the HALO jumpers to 30K, Intercom system, plays tunes. Rear facing slave style seating and a raised platform for two people to stradle right next to the pilot. Very short ride to altitude followed by a little zero-G while he planes out for jump run. People were warned don't Fart or you get out ( everybody ) Now, regardless of altitude and location. Smallish door if you are not used to a King air and a tail lower than the otter you are use to. After the last is out he puts the craft into a steep nose dive that some jumpers were paying a load ticket to stay aboard for. Hope this helps.
  4. Awesome post Bill! Have you discussed this with Pat Works? Yuk yuk.
  5. Nope but if you wacky guys cook up something that has anything to do with being mounted on top of a fast moving vehicle in my wingsuit sign me up. It will be kinda like K-2's Glenn plak without the rainbow mohawk. PS: If yer hell bent on the mohawk there always crazy glue. Hell I'm a freeflyer anyways!
  6. Silly you thats how all feel about the press!
  7. Only if the plane is on fire! and that would have to be my side of the plane , otherwise I'm gliding this one out.
  8. Bill will this be a morning before the Rdub stuff starts or flocks all day?
  9. When did Kathy go bird-man? That slipped under the wire. Well congrats on that one! Got a suit yet?
  10. Dude...I'm a pilot....where do you think I found out about those showerheads?! Quote Prison
  11. I love my S-3. Had no intention of getting one as we were hanging with everybody out there in our classics, they are twice as expensive as the classic .And I had just bought the classic the year before. I didn't believe that there was that big of a difference as most of the S-3 ers out there were getting into the average mid 40's. We were getting into the average low 50's on the old classics and if we flocked it was 60's,70's and 80's regardless, worse if we played harder. I did have a curiosity to try one. But at the time Bird man inc didn't have DEMO S-3s, But they did have one of Jari's personal used S-3. I tried it and fell in love with it, bought it, and use it. I will do anything that I did on my classic except take it as low as I have been on my classic. The only time I get to max it out is at break off and track away. Or on two way dives that we predetermine there will be maxing out for a given reason. If you are a pig in flight, you will be a pig in whatever suit you get. What suit to get? Get the one you can afford, the one that you will jump because you do not fear it ( not that there is a reason to fear any of them ), the one that wont sit in a closet, the one that you will flock with friends with. Some people have been known to sell theirs if they have nobody to play with. If it is an old single zipper and duct tape affair but it works for you..... It will work for me and we will flock! The suit to get is the one that gets you into the flock.....don't miss out.
  12. QuoteI played paintball for many years, very seriously, but I don't want any of that shit even near my gear. Quote I agree, you could always take a chewabaca sized bandolier of several rolls of TP and bomb one another. Or dive bomb them with a free fly tube. That one could be used again and again. "Tag you it, next your it". If you think your canopy skills can handle it. The TP wont hurt anyone on the ground and chasing a tube around the sky will be more fun than paint balls.
  13. A few months ago we had an all bird-man skyvan 14-way load. It had regular birdmen who had done a bunch of WS jumps that day. A factory rep and wingsuit instructer. Five or six canopy pilots fresh from the proswoop tour held that afternoon, who have been concentrating on swooping for the last few months. So it was fair to say maybe not to too wingsuit current. And some friends and instructers who had just done their second wingsuit jump of their life. Many were on borrowed suits that may not have been the best of fit for them. Some S-3s, some GTIs but many many classics than not, to include some classic #1s. We held a base or rather two bases of semi-wedged formations with hardly any stragglers. Everybody was damn near in it. It was sunset and it was undescribable with simple words. I heard it described by some as the best jump of their lives. It will stand out in my memory also. Suits of all sizes and types and we all played. What you brought didn't matter, what you took home was most important.

    atmonauti...

Actually it is completely true but don't take my word for it E-mail the jumpers of Babylon or frick and get their opinion!

    atmonauti...

The relative wind in the true atmonauti is just like in a head down .......coming straight down onto your head. Whether you are facing down or up. It is not tracking.
  16. Yes September 11 put quite a few people on hold even with the sunny skies and no aircraft traffic. Freaky for this high air traffic part of the world.
  17. I'm going to watch silly people puke! Now thats entertainment.
  18. I saw JC playing with one of those a summer ago. They may still have it in the team office.
  19. So my Hero what kind of glide are you getting on your S3?
  20. Put some on your jump suit or booties while you are at it and watch as anybody doing anykind of sewing for you say" let someone else do it, no thanks, not with my machines".
  21. seven or eight, can't remember it was years ago and to lazy to dig up old log book.
  22. Some DZs its all of the above on the same DZ.
  23. Remember in the incedent it wasn't the tab sticking out but the jumper stuffing excess brake line in until it was time to unstow for flight. And then suffering a hang up of the excess brake line on one side. My slinks have taken a set and don't move. But I look at them anyway. As I look at every part of my riser for wear and tear. The grommet, the three rings, and that little loop on the last ring that keeps your risers attached to your harness, that little loop is very important. Its all very important.
  24. T-34s from the Aeroclub ( is there still one?) at march. They flew above my place too and I'm way far murrieta, no riverside.
  25. Oh come on Bill it could be like that cockpit voice stall warning device " Pull up,pull up, pull up."
