Don't all the boys at bragg have their socom pistolas converted to this sight system?
-
It would work if you could get some military surplus MILES gear but it would have to be in exceptionally good condition as I believe most of that stuff is crap straight from the contractor. For those who are not familiar its a simple harness with small receiver nodes spaced along the webbing triggered by a sound activated lazer mounted to your rifle barrel. You would have to modify the receiver to not use a harness that would interfere with your container but instead rely on more nodes on the helmet and a couple on your wrists and ankles mounted like altis and you would have to trigger with a finger or bite switch instead of "blank blast". But the best part would have to be registering a kill. You can't hear the systems buzzer in flight so you would need smoke......Now thats a kill!

Skydive Arizona Dropzone.com 2nd Annual Holiday Boogie II

Nope bets I'm not looking for trouble Its a serious question. Its a Base exit usually done off bridges. Canopy is out of the container and hanging down off the bridge in front of the daring jumper, jumper jumps out forward flips and is under his or her canopy or a ball of shit* (* that part is not allowed during base jumps). All of this is only going to happen if Jimmy P will loan me his VX anyway. The reason I ask is some manly balloon skippers don't care what you do as long as they look good on the video you shoot during your triple reverse flip hanging from above the gondola by the turnbucles. Others piss their shorts if you shake the basket more than the opening of the ulra cheap champagne they gently squueeeeeze open for the wuffo tourists who have been so still you would think they all had broomsticks installed rectally and bitch and moan if you want more altitude than 2200 feet. The real question is are we ballooning for skydivers or the home& garden network? Is the skipper a skipper or full of balloon juice? -
From my experience in the vegas tunnel it was nothing like being in real air. It has a very small high pressure collumn or bubble and the farther you get out and away from it the weaker and more turbulent the airflow. And they treat wuffos ( their bread and butter ) better than skydivers. Perris skyventure stole the best thing about that tunnel..... Their instructor Mary.

Whaaa.....? Are you in some kind of government protection plan? No personal pictures, moving all over the place. Hanging out with skydivers who's testimony will NOT be admissible in a court of law. Wait, don't answer this its completely traceable with an easy hack!

Death by electorlysis? No way, you have to submit to get bit. And I'm not until they come up with the cheap Yeti plan.

Hey that looks like Sonic!

All exits from the balloon require standard skydiving gear. (This means that a main and reserve parachute are required in your container.) -
Those little remote planes people fly in ZHILLS???
VectorBoy replied to SkydiveNFlorida's topic in The Bonfire
There are many brands but the ZAGI's started it. We have a ton of small entrepreneural upstart combat wing makers all over SoCal. Mostly selling to others on their hills or via the net. An ultralight pilot guy at Perris makes and markets his own brand. He's got his all loaded up with multiple blinking LEDs and dive bombs all the big outdoor night parties. Very nice! -
They annoy me to, while we are at it can do something about posters who put up pictures of really old naked people and the same birds over and over? I don't really mind the Eric Estrada posts cuz those are still funny!

You mean a quantifiable self administered skills test instead of a lecture? This is fucking brilliant!

Its funny but a year ago I had to seek the advice of several staff members regarding a night wingsuit issue for which I was denied permission. Two of which were the dropzones very experienced S&TA's, one the manager the other a skydiver long in experience and regarded as legendary. Neither with personal wingsuit experience but several decades in the sport and years of conducting night ops. The third was a one of the Free fly instructors with tons of night experience and more wingsuit experience ( at the time ) than myself but not "nightwing" experience. A year ago these were the experts for the situation, No BMI instructors to rely on. I felt they did a good and safe job on their advice based only on their collective experience and doubt the presence of a certified BMI would have changed the go-no go permission. Its now over a year later, we have a new manager and a certified BMI at our dropzone and will probably have more soon. But you can not disregard this experience if you are implored to and its all thats available. Perris is a big DZ but its no Deland when it comes to wingsuit knowledge, its still not. There are too many small DZs out there that will have only their S&TAs to rely on and hopefully there will be good educational material for them to use whether its from the BM website, the manual or the SIM. I would no sooner take up wingsuit flying without an experienced "mentor" to rely on than I would start base jumping without an experienced mentor. Its one reason I would like to take our S&TA on his first wingsuit jump, he has agreed, just waiting for a good opportunity. After 18,000 jumps I think its time he broadens his horizons. BTW: the replies to my nightwing request was " Hell no! Wait till I'm gone and you can do what you want . But not tonight!" "Why would you want too"? and " I personally don't see anything wrong with it right now and as soon as the new and dangerous perception goes away and we see more of them we won't even be having this discussion." You guess who said what.

Apparently it's also bad form to call the person you spent the night with by a name other than theirs when introducing said person to some of your friends the next day. *** Thats why "hot legs" always works no matter how hung over you are.

Sorry thats a bit graphic. Oh well carry on.

Its called pro packing.

I see this al the time in Vegas hallways. Not!Were ya there for a swingers convention or sumptin?

" Some tri's" Have been known to open hard in some peoples opinion. The pocket is an option if this happens to be the owners opinion.

How long does it get before it breaks off? I would not try and catch a falling canopy ( from someone elses cuttaway) with my canopy. But things like toilet paper , streamers and FF tubes don't really present a danger to your canopy malfunctioning . Something as big as a canopy or a big banner are no-nos for in flight ramming.
-
I've done 205 mph true but the protrac was on my head obviously in a whole body burble. I was not trying for speed just trying to catch some big boys.
-
The guy in green comes next, . Maybe he didn't do FF right off AFF.Quote You say that like its a bad thing.

I thought this was true of most services= crappy phones, crappy connectability

Actually I got it- check my response, humor back at ya

Whats to be scared about? You wont land off because it takes off and climbs almost straight up above the DZ. Its a fast comfortable climb so you wont have too long to dread about it. Mike LOVES to fly as many loads as he can, so there will be as many as you can handle. Just don't fart! Actually that plane is so fast it doesn't give most intestinal systems enough time to build up differential pressure... If you fart you were obviously pushing!

Chivo I bought the last one from the Square 1 DZ shop. When I had some questions about it and they really couldn't help me or tell me who made them for them. I don't have a digital camera at home so I can only explain. After seeing whats out there and how they are made and the designs vary a great deal from rigger made to home spun. Where some have strengths and some have design flaws. I would recommend making your own hardware and ring and having somebody that makes canopies get and sew the ZP material, not that it has to be ZP. Unless you can sew ( I don't ). The one I got, after examing quite a few others out there, seems to have better than average seam work but a miserably weak plastic ring. After looking at some that the Flyboyz have floating around I noticed that those were made with stiffer thicker schedule plastic in the ring and F-111. I have even seen and almost got to fly one that sported a bicycle rim with spokes and hub removed as the ring. Hows that for thriftyness? After playing around at Elsinore with mine a few months ago a gentleman came up and examined mine. he said he could make them for a fraction of what I payed for mine. But he sews for a living. If you have any questions PM me direct .
