From your poll, can't believe some people are saying you should get an R6. For your type of riding, an R6 is NOT the way to go. Have you thought of a Yamaha FZ6? I owned one. Great learner bike, plenty of power and the ergos were quite excellent. http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/2006models/2006models-Yamaha-FZ6.htm Edit to add: I should've read the entire thread before commenting. Looks like you've already decided against an R6.

LO fucking loud! I trained with a bunch of Army SF guys in my past life. I've heard every Air Force joke known to man! We do have the womens! Now those Navy pukes, that's a fuckin service for ya! bwahha! Anyway, good luck with your future endeavours. Only you.....are in control of your destiny..

All I can say is.....it's the same fucking way on the outside. And you can't do shit with the fucktard civilians you'll work with or FOR. And you'll be starting over at square one......again. You'll make rank soon enough, and then you can treat your troops like you want to be treated. Dishin out the shit sammich whenever YOU wish! j/k! Get some! Im an E-5 with a 1-1 NCOER, they took my 3 soldiers (one of which just won best soldier of the month) and put them under someone else so they could NOT do thier job, leaving me the only one in the BN that does it... I just am tired of my senior NCOs taking advantage of their rank, and fucking with us... I know its probably just my unit, but its a bad taste in my mouth about the army. Ive had fun, dont get me wrong, but I need a change. Sorry, I forgot to add I served 22 in the AIR Force! woohoo!! Although I was stationed on an Army post for some of my time... What about a transfer, or retraining into a different MOS? Or going the officer route? Or fuck, changing services? We did have the better food, billets, on-base housing, and FUN! J/K, I know you Army boyz know how to party! I'm bored out of my fuckin mind staying in one location! I want to PCS but as a "civilian" now, ain't in the cards any longer.......

Good info Lou... Everything you said is dead on. -
What a dumbass! Man, I've done my share of buzzjobs....but there is a time and place for them, not down a public beach.. well, unless you have the required separation that is!

It'll eventually change for you. Being impatient that is. I used to be the same way till I hit 40, then....I slowed wayyy the fuck down...in the left lane.. jk!

Are you, shall we say.....an agressive driver?

Thanks for the post. Lest we forget.... Those guys that went onto that beach that day knew, it was a good chance they wouldn't make it out alive. My profound thanks to them........ President Reagan gave a wonderful speech in 1984 about the invasion... http://www.historyplace.com/speeches/reagan-d-day.htm

If your only prob is you need space, then advise her of that and then put your big boy panties on and enjoy life with her. You could search your entire life and never repeat the line above about another woman. Good luck......... I thought he meant he ran her over... Guess there is always two sides to a story!

worded too harshly to send to a school administrator?

DON'T send any further emails to her. Period. Voice only from now on. -
Nothing wrong with swallowing on the ride to altitude. Ears clear (almost always) by themselves going UP. Popping and clicking is normal. Descent is where you typically have to perform a clearing manuever. Some do and some don't really need to. I've descended in an altitude chamber at 60,000 feet per minute with a nice normal valsalva. Fun :)

Congrats!! I have a friend that's a Buell guy, I'll ask him about the Blast if I see him.. Let you know. And for what it's worth, may I suggest a good "used" bike to really learn on. Something that has a few dings on it..... that way, "if" you do lay it down in your intial rides, you won't be as mad at yourself...

Nice! What's gonna be your first mod, if any? The only thing that I will probably do (have done) is lower the suspension so that I am not on tip-toes when stopped! Otherwise happy the way it is can't even begin to describe the cornering

Looks like it was a great trip! And when you referenced "And then there were the blood-curdling screams from some kind of animal fight, that kept occurring over and over again, all night long"... Last year when I was deer hunting in MS, the wild feral hogs make a noise that's very similar. Almost a scream... eerie as hell in the woods. Maybe what you heard?

Here is my take on it, during the war there were about 100 million soldiers (including both axis and allies), of which about 25 million died during the war . That leaves 75 million left. Now during WWII, 61 countries were involved which means on average 1.23 million vets per country were still alive after the war. Now if 1000 US Vets die each day since the war ended that's about 24 million US vets dead. The figures just don't add up. Also take into account that nearly all of European men/women fought in the WWII, so there will be a lot more European vets then US vets. If you said 1000 vets (axis and allies) die everyday that would be much more realistic. wow guys.......yes and yes..... But it's 1000 US vets per day. Add in allied forces the number is greater. All I did was read a few websites, nothing more. As for the ORIGINAL intent of this link before the gent from NZ changed it , the pics are awesome.

I really think he meant for those that "served" in WWII. Just to clarify. Over 1000 U.S. veterans die every day that served in WWII. Can imagine the total numbers are overwhelming... I think that sum is bollocks, just do the math and you will realise it's not true. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Some of this data is a couple years old. However I imagine it's still in the 1000 per day (U.S only) rate. Combined with all the allied forces the number is much greater.... http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/11/11/veterans.honor.flight/index.html http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/05/25/veterans-burials-rising-a_n_103479.html http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,357941,00.html
