Broke, oh yeah Before I started jumping, I defined my self by my job and income. About the time I got my solo and bought gear, I realised that I now define my self by what I do when I'm not at work, and that my income is only relevant to whether I can jump as much as I want to. My pre-skydiving friends have thinned out, but those who were GOOD friends will never stop being GOOD friends. We each have our passions in life, and it is exciting for us to share what we are doing with each other. I don't SEE them as often, but we still talk and get together and share everything just like always.

Scary thing is, that might work! I have several customers that have nothing good to say, bitch about everything, and like to abuse the salesperson (me!) for things not in my control. With one in particular, I tried positive feedback, joking, and then excessive politeness. He got worse. I speak with my customers at least 3 times a week, usually much more, and finally I had enough. I told him that if his goal was to be the biggest pain in my ass, it was working. Got his attention. Next time I called him, he apologised and has been decent - and occasionally even funny! - ever since. Regardless, hopefully you don't have to work with her often. You'll love BC! This is a gorgeous place to live. Pitt Meadows has bigger planes to get you to 13,000, but I think most of the other dz's only have Cessnas, so expect 9500. If you ever head inland from Vancouver, drop by Vernon and say hi. It's beautiful here, and the view from 10,000 is awesome! Sunnydee, ditto! Almost to the word. My thinking is, if the jump is only about me and my skills, then I will happily pay for their slot + a bit. I've paid for plenty of coach jumps, but I've also had lots of the experienced jumpers offer to jump with me. The ones I really appreciated (being that I'm from a small Cessna dz) were when I was only solo rated, just trying to get on a load, and the up-jumpers would put together a 3-way so I could get in as load filler. And Wendy, thanks to you and every other coach/instructor who gives so much to students/newbie/junior jumpers. It is so apprectiated! Yup, I wear it virtually 24/7. It only comes off when jumping and to shower. (I wear no jewelry when jumping) Occasionally people ask me about it. My answer depends on my mood. If I don't want to get into it, I tell them it's a symbol for freedom.

Next question; has anyone heard them? During an intense display, they 'sing'. We see them often during the winter, but only occasionally in full colour and never with any sound. The best shows are during solar max ever 7 years or so. You can even subscribe to an aurora e-alert so you don't miss the best shows. I've always got too many projects on the go and things I want to do/learn. Including... Improve my sewing. I can sew anything basic, and puzzle out things more complicated, but I can't 'take measurements' and sew something to fit. Improve my web designing knowledge. I'm self taught so far, but would love to take a course. One day, when I have 'spare' time. hahahaha! Quilting. Wipe that smirk off your face! Not the kind that our grandma's did, but the kind you see in art shows. See, I paint and draw and silkscreen, but I'm not that good at painting, I draw well but don't find it satisfying, and I love silkscreening but it is MESSY! But when I look at art quilts, I think they combine everything I love about the other mediums. Learn to sit fly! Dancing. Someone else said with a good partner! and I second that.
