  1. Well, it is nice to know that some dz's still like to have "sixteen tons" of fun at their boogies...unless ours..which...uh...uh...well its ok most of the time. But sometimes its been sort of stodgy and/or stuckup the last year or two... No flour bombs because it looks like Anthrax - THAT is what my dz manager told me. Yeah, whatever kemosabe. 2. I tried over and over to quit, but it just wasn't happening. Then I started cutting down my number of cigs I was smoking and also the nicotine content. I ended up on some nasty old super ultra light menthols...and didn't even realize I was only smoking one a day or so. I had been smoking 2 packs of Marlboro Reds per day - or a few non-filter Lucky Strikes (YIKES!!) but over just a few months I cut down a lot. Once I realized what had happened, I decided just to quit altogether. I thought, well hell, I am only smoking half a cig a day so why not just quit? I did and never had a withdrawal since. The exception to this was that when I was drinking, I craved smokes. Never after food, or sex, or in the morning anymore, ONLY AFTER drinking. So I did that a little while, then switched to clove cigs for about a year, and then for some unexplainable reason, I quit those too, cold turkey. I was basically just ready to quit. Its a mental process, that is more than half the battle...but of course your physical dependence comes into play as well. If you are REALLY READY to quit, you can cut down enough (using patches, gum, electric shock, butt plugs covered in tabasco...LOL) Or any other deterrent to help you along. I cut down the intake so much it wasn't really a problem. That is what you gotta do. 6 years later, I am still smoke-free and hate it more than ever. I do not ever allow it in my house for ANY reason, and can't stand the sight or smell of ashtrays. It is bizarre how you react once you've quit. I have heard a lot of people say they just get SICK around cigarettes and/or their smoke. I totally agree. Makes me think of an old G-N-R (Guns & Roses) song..."I used to love her, ooh yeah, but I had to kill her...now she's six feet under and I can still hear her complain...." Good luck dude, Sis I feel so alive, for the very first time-and I think I can fly! - P.O.D.

  4. ICK! We are ruining Clay's reputation!! Andrea said he was a GOOD guy!! HOLY CRIPES, BATMAN!!! Anyway, go regular dz.commers!! New dude: I am in North Texas, an annoying but loved (aren't we all?) regular at Skydive Dallas. Jessica used to be there until she moved (that bitch!! HAHA Just kidding, girl!) and we are only like a few hours from Austin, San Antonio and Houston, respectively. (Or NOT respectivelY?! ROFL) Get in with some cool folks at the atlanta area dzs - when I come to visit again you can keep up with me (if you practice at flailing a lot!!) BONZAI !!!!! Sis I feel so alive, for the very first time-and I think I can fly! - P.O.D.
  5. Dude, quacky ducky... SWEET! Glad your parents took the chill pill and lightened up, especially your stepdad! My mom has always been pretty chill with it (read my earlier post) but I've never told ya'll about how my stepdad is a cocksucker about skydiving (and everything else I do!!!) He is always ranting about me dying for some reason or another and getting insurance money and shit. Therefore, I am not letting him within 100 feet of my rig!!! lol Good luck to ya'll and Happy New Year...think about me if any of you get to do a midnight jump!! (FUCKERS!!) ROFLMAO Yours Truly (?) ahh you don't have to be pierced to join in - unless you just want to be! Sis I feel so alive, for the very first time-and I think I can fly! - P.O.D.
  8. LOL - I don't prefer Thomaston - I don't even live there. I just came down to visit a few times over the last year or so - first time I was there, I went to Cedartown - next time I was there I went to Monroe, and the third time, I went to Thomaston but didn't get to jump that day. So I am stepping out of this discussion - at least as far as this subject is concerned - I don't want to mislead you into thinking I am a regular there and know everyone. Just a few. There are a good number of Atlanta area jumpers on this forum who have already responded to you, and some who haven't yet. Good luck! Watch out for freeflier though (Clay) he'll get you into deep shit!! hahaha Just kidding. Oh what I did at Monroe? Nothing that's a big deal. Typical dropzone drama - got drunk and got into an argument with someone (well more than one someone's) anyway, that happens at almost every dz on a regular basis. :) I am not banned from there or anything. LOL Sis I feel so alive, for the very first time-and I think I can fly! - P.O.D.
  9. Yes, SD Atlanta is in Thomaston. My opinion is that both Monroe and Thomaston are cool dz's with cool people. But if you really want to be blown away by coolness...come visit us in Texas!! . BASE jumping before Cedartown!! hahahaha LOL good one, Clay! Sis I feel so alive, for the very first time-and I think I can fly! - P.O.D.
  10. THAT IS COOL! :) Neat idea. I decorate my logbook with stickers and glitter, etc. but most of my jumps since about number 50 haven't been signed. When it comes time to apply for a new license all I have to do is get one of my dz friends or my boyfriend to sign them off. Everyone at the dz knows what I can or can't do, so I don't worry about it. Once you get to a certain point, you don't even really need a logbook. I think its a personal thing. Rick Duran has like 11,000 jumps or something, and still keeps a logbook. My sweetie has about 4600 but hasn't kept a logbook in YEARS. Once you get that far, and you're a coach, an instructor, blah blah blah what's the point? I just write all mine down because each one is still precious to me, as I have so few!! HEHEHE I don't want to forget them yet and will need the info. for future licenses, etc. Eventually though they all run together I will bet. Sis I feel so alive, for the very first time-and I think I can fly! - P.O.D.
  11. Yes, it is still a requirement to get the B license. Skydive Dallas won't offer it again until Spring, so I will probably just keep my A lic. until then and get my C or D, depending on how many jumps I have then. Sis I feel so alive, for the very first time-and I think I can fly! - P.O.D.
  12. Well if you use your head about it, and buy the stuff used, you can have both! I bought a full-face for $75 and its still in good condition. I prefer my Bonehead Mindwarp but it does get cold even in Texas! So sometimes I have to resort to wearing the full face again. I don't know how much money you got, but a Skytronic FX does the same things as a Protrack (and they don't blank out in heat - that was the older original Skytronic Pro) and only costs about $180 instead of $285 like the Protrack. Of course if you get a brand new Z1 - or new Factory Diver that will take all of your money in one pop! Just my two cents...I've had 4 helmets and 3 audibles in the last year so I might know something about it!! hehe Sis I feel so alive, for the very first time-and I think I can fly! - P.O.D.

Ahhh, you know it is a good day when you can make Clay breathe hard!!
  16. Ya dude, definitely change dz's... If you go to SD Atlanta, tell Sue that April said hi! If you go to Monroe...well, just don't mention my name. k? Thanks. thank goodness I live in the beautiful state of Texas! I could get in WAAAYYY too much trouble if I was in GA!! Sis I feel so alive, for the very first time-and I think I can fly! - P.O.D.

Stimulation of piercings: The act of rubbing, licking, pulling or other physical touch of body jewlery placed in sexual locations: i.e., nipple, penis, clitoris, etc. Stimulation by piercings: The act of using one's body jewelry to stimulate another person's sexual organs/body parts. i.e., frenum piercing (male piercing which rubs against the G-spot during sex), tongue piercing (which stimulates the penis or clitoris during oral sex)... these are just a few ideas to get your imagination going... PIercings, sex, bondage...all are extremely interesting topics to me!! :) WOOHOO!!!!!!! How about sex involving stimulation of my piercings, a little light bondage and/or spanking, some bisexual activities, and maybe some skydiving the next morning if I can still move? YEEHAW!! 19. I had to force my mom to quit going to the DZ with me...she was driving me nuts! I swear she could have taught the FJC,= but then was looking over my shoulder all the time! A year and a half later, she's much better...but still I don't really like for her to come to the DZ. My dad and his wife have been out a few times (you must understand both sets of parents live about 6-7 hours from the dz, like I *used* to!) and they are pretty cool about it. They all say, "Well, It wouldn't BOTHER ME if you quit...haha...but since we know how stubborn you are, you are going to do it anyway! So we might as well go with it...you have shown remarkable sensibility in the sport so far, so we are just going to keep our mouths shut." HEHEHE They even buy me gear once in awhile. I made a joke today about not getting jump tickets for XMAS and my stepmom said, well, did you ASK for any? I was like, UH, no...It never occurred to me!! I know!! LOSER!! HAHAHAHA Seriously though, parents are usually shocked when you tell them you want to skydive. I don't think they ever quite get over it. Some are much more understanding than others. I would think ( and forgive my psychologist brain from doing that!) that part of your problem is the lackluster relationship you have had with them prior to your skydiving. If you were close to them before it would be easier. So now, you and your parents both are at a place where you need to be patient and understanding. Maybe they aren't comfortable with your life in general, much less skydiving. Who knows? I don't because I don't know you. But it sounds like you should be pretty slow with them. Try to find a rapport with them about something else, get closer to them if possible...but don't expect them to embrace jumping without regard. Sounds like your family has more issues than just skydiving. Sorry, my two cents...please don't be offended. Hugs and blue skies *and good luck with the parentals!!* My thoughts are with you! 21. Hey Pam... Yes, I've been having a pretty good time. I miss my sweetie and my puppie dogs...but its good to see the parentals when you can. I am hoping to leave for home on Friday morning...maybe jump this weekend!! Tell Merrick I am going to be selling that Hornet one of these days...I got his email awhile back. I don't have the money for a new canopy yet, but I am still trying demos. It is amazing how long you have to wait for them sometimes. I started all this in like, September. I have the Lotus coming next, then the Sabre 2. I will let you know when I am ready to sell the Hornet. So far it has about 60-70 jumps on it, and its in like-new condition. I am ready to downsize a little bit! :) :) Cheers, Sis I feel so alive, for the very first time-and I think I can fly! - P.O.D.

  24. Ever since the tragedy, the consensus has been that you can't carry your rig on even in a gear bag. I've only flown once and checked it as luggage. I had no problems with them damaging anything...in my gear bag... I guess its probably depending in the airline and the workers...and their mood...LOL good luck, Sis I feel so alive, for the very first time-and I think I can fly! - P.O.D.

Glad you "dropped" in !! hehe goofy pun intended... We argue sometimes here, but its mild compared to wreck.dot...its usually for a reason, instead of arguing just for the sake of it... Welcome to our hive! Sis I feel so alive, for the very first time-and I think I can fly! - P.O.D.
