SWEEET!! I am so happy for you, girl!! I remember a year ago when you got hurt (amazing its been that long, I can't believe it!! scary) and its good to know you're back. We were all rooting for you so hard back then, we couldn't literally feel your pain but we really prayed (or whatever other people do, you know, they were thinking HARD!!) for you. It is good to have you back, and good to know everyone still gets the butterflies after a layoff. You conquered them better than I would have!!

Oh I am so sorry to have to say this, but...... All beer is NOT good beer! I would HONESTLY rather do without beer, even free beer, if it is Natural Light or something along those watery pissy lines...especially Oklahoma strength pissy lines. THAT is exactly why I read "The Skydiver's Handbook" BEFORE I started Static Line! heehee! I fell in love with skydiving after my first tandem and had to wait almost 2 months to do my training, so I read everything I could get my hands on!! LOL - fortunately for me, I guess, because when I said, "Aren't those things on your suit for other people to hold onto?" the JMs just gaped at me and said, UH, YEAH...! hehe Get em on the flyby... That's what I did, kept it as a hobby. I was going to make them for the gear shop at the DZ and decided against it. I have way too many other things going on. So I make them for friends once in awhile and that's it. Its a lot easier this way, Pam. Too bad though, it sucks that people were rude to you. Sorry to hear that, girlie. BTW, miss you guys. I wasn't saying 4600 is a lot, dude. It doesn't matter how many or how few someone has. Its not necessarily cool to not use a logbook - I think most people who don't use them do so because they don't have time or don't care. Not because they think, oh I have 4600 jumps and I am SO COOL that I don't need a logbook. Whatever! One thing about our dz that's cool though is that we have everything on computer, so you can go to manifest and get a "Jumper Ledger" that tells how many jumps you've done and (YIKES!) how much money you've spent! The ledger doesn't say exact info. but does tell you how many fun jumps and work jumps you've done (if you do work jumps). So like, he can look at his ledger and see who paid for that jump and video + stills, or if it was a SDU coaching jump and who paid for it, etc. So at least whoever it is knows how many jumps they've made. You can get weekly, monthly, yearly etc. Sis I feel so alive,for the very first time-and I think I can fly! - P.O.D.

Well... Yes, I know my life is in my own hands - but a little guidance can't hurt - and a little faith in something other than your vain self never hurt anyone either. When I skydive, I know that I might screw up and pull handles in the wrong order, or lose altitude awareness or something like that. I strive to do everything possible to ensure my own safety, but I don't see how its wrong to ask whoever you believe in (Allah, God if you are Jewish, God/Jesus if you are Christian, Buddha, the Goddess if you're wiccan, etc. the list goes on)... to bless you with their presence. Its not about asking God or whoever to make your decisions, or float you safely to the ground if you forget to pull, its like, a guidance thing, even if it is in death - to guide you to wherever you believe souls go...to know that they are there with you even though your time on Earth is over. Even when I do everything I think I can for my own safety, something just might go wrong...a rapide link might fail for no reason, another jumper might knock me unconscious, I might get hit crossing the street, I might get E-coli at Hooters because the cook was too busy looking at T&A to cook the food properly...who knows? That is what faith is for. Faith in something supernatural, unseen...The human species has always had a strong need to find some religion, or belief in a higher power. Rain gods, sun gods, wheat gods, gods of the dead, goddesses of fertility, river gods, on and on the list goes. Don't you think there is a reason that probably 75% of the world's population has always believed in SOMETHING out there? Its a need most humans will always have. I am not trying to preach, or teach a theology course. I am only trying to give you a little food for thought today! Its too windy here to jump, so I am at home, waiting for the landlord to come fix my central heat and air (brrrrr) and philosophizing to you! Don't hate me because I think!!! hehe And now, enough serious talk for today!!
