Next weekend...because instead of going to the TSL meet...I am going to the House of Blues Festival here in Dallas. Part of the VIP package last night were two tickets to that show (which I really wanted to see but didn't have the money any more) ...they didn't tell me this when I placed the order for Buffett, so imagine my surprise when they handed me those tickets as well! Sweet!! Jimmy Vaughn is only one of the great artists that will be there and its an all day event. So, as much I love you all down there, I will have to put that trip on hold!! Hey Chuck, they showed footage from different shows on the tour this year, all the Parrotheads and stuff. They showed THAT CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes sir, Perry and I hooted and hollered, we thought that was the coolest! They were in Houston the day before and one of the astronauts up right now is a Parrothead and had all his stuff in space! Jimmy rocks! I got to see my first live show last night (I know!! I owe beer!) and it was the best concert I have ever been to. I didn't think anyone could outdo Dave Matthews....but this was it! I refuse to think about the number of jumps I could have purchased with the money *VIP tickets!! woohoo!* but it was so worth it. That is the most fun we have had in ages. I didn't read any of this thread (aren't I a bitch?!?!) LOL But if I was rich I would say, fuck a car. I would buy a big ass CASA and a dz, and build a mansion there. So if I had to travel anywhere I would fly...hell if I was that rich I would buy several planes of different sizes, and hire only the best pilots. I would steal Sven and Eddie and Mike from Skydive Dallas *sorry Doc Lee!) and if I ABSOLUTELY had to ride in a car somewhere...I would ride only on a motorcycle. Harley or crotch rocket, either one, it doesn't matter. :) Hell an Indian would be acceptable as well. I would also take up hot air ballooning. This isn't all I would do with my money, but I am only answering the question regarding transportation!! HEHE Let's not go into charities because I wouldn't know where or when to stop giving. SIGH. Ya I don't know about elsewhere,but at my dz its $25 a jump for rig rental or $75 a day for unlimited jumps. Altimeter is $5 a day and Jumpsuit is an additional $5. But sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Sis Can you Trip like I do?

I coming down for a TSL meet and although I am not in the meet, my partner/friend is, and I also want to meet all of you who I have talked to on here for so long. Slappie you need to be around and so does Jess, if its not too long a drive. (Texas is big so forgive me if I don't know how far from Spaceland to her place in Austin) hehehe

I bought my first rig when I had about 18 jumps. I still have the whole thing except the main. If I had waited a little while I might have decided on a different main, but who knows. Anyway, I only had to rent gear one time. Whatever you do, make sure the gear you buy is checked out by a rigger first if it is used, and make sure you know what you're buying. skydiving is a big newspaper called "As the Prop Turns" it sucks, the reporters are unqualified, the stories are sensationalized, and characters' names are NOT changed to protect the innocent!! embellishments to the story abound, and there is no limit to what you can or cannot speculate! so beware, young skydiving fellows and bedmates! what we tell anyone could very well be 60 minutes material!! after all, if you are on a weather hold for an hour, what better to entertain yourself with then a story about so and so and their new playmate? SIGH Been there, know how it feels, it sucks, want to kill, then you just get over it and tell the idiots to drink a beer or burn. hehe!!!!

ROFL!!! We were saying the exact same shit while we were watching that show!!! That bridge stunt was just PLUMB STUPID!!!!!!!!!!! What the fuck were they thinking??
