AWESOME!!!! I'm ready!
-
Tonight on the Learning Channel is a program titled Adrenalin Rush. Here on the West Coast, it is on at 10:00 pm. Sure hope it is worth watching! J

That sucks! 78 degrees! You just had to let us all know that huh? Seattle is freezing, thankyou, and snowing! I hate this weather here, it is always raining or cloudy. When we do have a sunny day, it is beautiful though! Ever jumped up here? Mount Rainier is very nice scenery to have on a jump!
-
I am still laughing over your reply! So funny, but I agree. However, I didn't know what chitlins were, so I had to look it up. Guess what, that is what it is! At least I know that is one food I will not eat!
-
That is almost as disgusting as the pig rectums the people had to eat on Fear Factor last night!!!
-
You need not say more, incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the whuffos should see this picture, it explains it all! J
-
First time.....I still smile thinking about it! It does leave you speechless. I guess I was apprehensive (not really nervous) on the first jump. Maybe because I wanted to do it so much, that I was going no matter what! Nothing compares to freefall and then the quiet peaceful ride under canopy! Of course knowing you have landed safely, big smile on your face, you say......I want to do this again, and again, and again!
-
Don't I know it "you're never too old to start having fun"! I wish I had tried this many years ago! Thanks for the encouragement. I was hoping there would be some "older" skydivers out there, ones who started jumping in their 40's and 50's! Makes me a little more confident.
-
Snowbird, I surprised a lot of people by doing a skydive. They were shocked to think that 'quiet' 'don't rock the boat' gal was doing a skydive! I've always wanted to and I didn't want to get older without living!! They still think I'm crazy.
-
Are you serious? Maybe....somewhere.....it would have been a wish of theirs? and they want you to be able to fulfill your dream?
-
I guess, the freedom! The joy and accomplishment of doing something you always wanted to do, but were afraid, until...the day came and a friend wanted to jump too. I sure wish I hadn't waited so long for a friend to ask. Also, going against the 'norm'!
-
Okay, we've done, Where are you from, Where do you jump, etc. How about, what was your age when you started jumping and what is your age now? Or, how long have you been jumping? I'm 54 :-( J
-
tigra, Oh, I know skydiving would keep you young, but I'm not so sure my bones know that! I just may follow my heart, because it is something I know I have to do again, one way or the other! We now live on a retirement income, so maybe one of us would have to go back to work! Ha! Thanks for the encouragement! This forum is just what I need sometimes.

"What else would I be looking at?" Oh my God, freefall is the most amazing part! I wouldn't want to miss a moment!
-
Read during freefall! Surely you must be joking!!!!!!!!!
-
Hey, I've got a bumper sticker and a license plate bracket, so I hope everyone understands! Bush only did the two jumps, he isn't going for any lessons!
-
Absolutely wonderful! Pretty much sums it up!
-
I know exactly how you feel. I also did my first two tandems this summer and missed the opportunity to do another one in Eloy last month. I can't even hear a small plane go over, without thinking of jumping from it! My dilemma is, do I take lessons in the spring (when the weather is warmer)? I just am not sure because of my age (54). I wish I hadn't waited so long to try this addicting sport!
-
I totally agree. I hope that everyone who has ever thought they would like to try skydiving, DOES! I tell everyone, don't wait, if you think you would like to try skydiving, do it, don't wait. People just don't know what they are missing!
-
Anyone seen "Good Stuff" or "Skydive, the dream becomes a Reality"? Are they worth purchasing?
-
Born in Minnesota (very small town) now living in Renton, Washington (suburb of Seattle). If I had a home dropzone I guess it would be Kapowsin. My first two jumps have been tandems, just this last summer, both done at Kapowsin. God, I love this sport!
-
I just watched it too! Those exits! Wow! Makes you wish you were there.
-
Good for you, keep trying, it is very difficult. Don't let the weightgain bother you, deal with it later!
-
I can't think of any amount, to make me want to stick my head in a tank of water with snakes! Wing walking, I could handle that!
