  1. I'm a writer so naturally I edit at least once before hitting "post reply". But, I have a bad habit of going back and reading (even the most mundane) posts several times. I try (really I do) not to edit--even for spelling & grammar. But it just bugs the hell out of me. The only posts I ever wish I didn't post, however, are those done in the heat of the moment. Hindsight is 20/20, of course. And I realize "God! It just wasn't worth it." I'm getting better at containing myself as I get older, though.
  2. Please don't take this in a rude way: There have been a TON of threads about this topic in the past. If your friend did a search, I'm sure she'd find more than enough useful info.
  3. Unfortunately, the only things I actually was curious to read (in response to me) in the past were deleted by the mods before I ever saw them. I only edit for grammar & spelling. I never change content even if I REALLY want to. It's false advertising--like a water bra. I might push 'em up but I no pad or stuff them. The only time I delete or edit to change content is when I've posted a picture. I don't want pics here or anywhere online permanently. I'm really weird about that. The only reason I ever post pics at all is just b/c people seem to need that. I'm also a published author, but I have a pen name. There are--I think--only three things actually published under my real name. I just prefer privacy--for many reasons. And I think it's really silly to edit or delete in the sense you mentioned. It's a freaking forum. Sure most of us have met several, if not many, of each other, but like we all haven't stuck our foot in our mouths before. Who effing cares??? Just say "oops" and all is well.

Hi Johnny... come lately. I need to look up the limit for "post deleted" w/out it actually saying so. I LOVE that feature. It's as if I were never here. I deleted one already like that, but apparently I'm too late for the other two. Now it just looks like I actually posted a picture from CSI: Miami. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

It's an illuuuuuuuusion. I love that picture b/c we were standing in front of a mirror and took the photo--I just cropped out the rest. Here's another of us and the original of the mirror us. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

  7. Here he is two seconds earlier, upset at the natives for waking his slumber. We have so many more pictures of Sabre than Zoe' b/c Sabre is such a camera ham (seriously!) and Zoe' can't sit still for two seconds--especially when she sees the camera. OK, no more hijacking Krisanne's thread from me. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

  9. Oh yes, indeed she is. But, Zoe' is quite the tom girl (and super smart). Sabre, on the other hand, is the one we describe as "grandiose". He epitomizes what it's like to be king. Here is one of my favorite shots of him (we have a million) looking like he's up to something: Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  10. It sounds like you did to me. Hang in there, Kris. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  11. Sunny day turned rainy and had to cancel our golf tee time. No worries. Perfect opportunity to stay in, sip cocktails, play games & listen to my favorite band of the moment: Rilo Kiley. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  12. Meh. The same groups that expressed issues with the series for it's "make believe" & supernatural theme are likely to be the only ones that have issues with Dumbledore being gay. What I think is funny is watching the news casters entice viewers with an upcoming "reaction". Reaction? Some people need to get a life. Take up sewing or something. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  13. "If there was a problem, Yo I'll solve it." Geez, I didn't realize ya'll were so old. Vision is fading. I'll change it now. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  14. Fine. One more for you. I think this one is MOST fitting. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  15. I have several others, but I rather like them myself. You know, like the "Proud to be Awesome" one. B/c...well, no explanation needed. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  16. If it covers the crotch, it's a panty, hunny. Turtle, I'm always justified. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  17. I sleep naked every night & sometimes I do. But, not always or even often. Maybe it's b/c I keep my panties on. Nice girls always do. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  18. Here's a few. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  19. I'll brb. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  20. Oh dear. Ellen has a daily TV showed viewed by millions of people and an obligation to do the show. Sometimes when we're emotional--no matter how hard we try--we can't hide it. Anyone in a position such as hers is bound to have a whack day. I can't speak for her, but I'd be willing to bet in retrospect she'd have considered your 500 alternatives. Since that day, she has equally if not more pleaded for the death threats to cease. She repeats the mistake is/was hers. I agree it was not the right thing to do to make a plea on her show. I think it would have been totally appropriate to cry if she could not contain her emotions, but maybe have kept her speech down to a shout. I.e. left the "Please give the dog back to the family" part out of it. The rest of her "sobbing & weeping" speech was fine to me. She wasn't publicly bashing Mutts and Moms. She explained how she made a mistake and felt completely responsible for another's loss b/c of it. Great. Now we know why Ellen's sad today. On with the show. No pleas. I rarely support the plight of celebs. And I admit I'm biased here, b/c I like Ellen. She's funny. Although she's becoming a bit too political for my taste this season. Anywho, what was I saying? Oh yea--don't normally support celebs. But, I think "fucking insane" is a bit harsh. Just a little. Harsh. Edited for too many commas. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  21. It's not an incorrect statement, necessarily but...I would say a lot more dogs stay on the street b/c a no kill shelter is full. That's another discussion altogether, though. And usually you and I are on the same team on this subject. I have to agree with the majority here, though. Ellen (at least from what I saw on the TMZ clip & on her show) admitted to her mistake from the very beginning and has also taken ownership of the whole mess being her fault. Basically her mistake was not really paying attention or being aware of what she was agreeing to. Now that she's aware, she obviously disagrees. Mistake admited. Lesson-learned. But a mistake in and of itself does not mean one must change their opinion. And I think her opinion is what she is continuing to express. With all the animals out there that need good homes, what is so terribly wrong with the one she placed the dog in? I noted your examples, and I completely agree people need to adopt a dog that fits their lifestyle as well as the dog's--not just go for the one they think is cutest. (I really can't reiterate this enough and preach it regularly.) It doesn't sound like--by the information we've been provided with anyways--this family or dog would not/did not fit well together. There really are no winners here. I agree with Thanatos for the most part; except where he called the rules "stupid". I think the rules are good and are in place for good reason. I do NOT agree the rules should always adhered to. I don't agree most rules should always be adhered to. Consistency is good, but reason is better.
  22. That's funny. Right now your expiration date could be tomorrow or 60 years from now. Would you really live life any differently? The difference is the money. And you can certainly "live" a lot more when you know A) You DO have 10 more years and B) You don't waste time planning for things to last more than 10 years. In other words, no work & play to the fullest. Sounds like the life to me. But, again, I'm biased (no kids and found the love of my life.
  23. Yes. But, I'm biased. My answer might change if Billy didn't also die in 10 years. It's something to consider purposefully leaving the one who loves you most (and whom you love equally, if not more.) In this life, our finances are joint--details don't matter.
  24. OK, I haven't seen it since Drew Carey took over. And I've only seen "The Drew Carey Show" a couple times--but I thought it was funny. But, from the clips & interviews I've seen & read I'm so happy the show will continue and Drew is the host. I LOVE that he continues the "Please have your pets spayed & neutered" message at the end of each show. "The Price is Right" is a GOOD show. I LOVE it. I grew up with it. My girlfriend's and I would have an absolute blast "playing it" and watching it in college. It's just a good, old-fashioned, happy game show. You always route for people to win. You always laugh (with them) at the people who get SOOOOO excited. I hope it continues.
