Does the toilet paper go over or under the roll?
PLFXpert replied to fpritchett64's topic in The Bonfire
My kitties are six & ten years old--neither unroll the TP. Sabre's favorite annoying trick is to tip over his water bowl and/or put his favorite random piece of rope in it and leave it half-in/half-out so the rope soaks up the water and transfers it to the rug underneath said water bowl. Zoe' is the resident Houdini. She can open any door and she can escape out when you open the door even when you're giving it your best shot to keep her in. Conversely, she doesn't care much to have her paws wiped before re-entry and thus is able to get in before you can grab her, darts under the table and rubs around the legs just out of your reach. In addition she knows how to knock on the door--she'll hit is square on as hard as she can when she wants in and meows obsessively when she's in and wants out. What's insane is I actually get up and let her in & out as she requests EVERY time. Every time I huff and say "Zoe', GOSH!" but she'll never change. As far as the TP going over or under: it must go over. Who pulls down instead of out? It makes no logical sense. The idea is to pull the paper toward you, not the floor. And the TP dispenser should be placed level with your hand when seated. It's so ridiculous when you are in a guest restroom and the TP holder is way down below the bowl as if to place more out-of-sight. Since when did it become improper to see toilet paper? I admit, I like a fancy holder myself, and by God I'm going to make sure people see it. That is all. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -
Someone just tried to break into my fucking house

You'll be pleased to know fastening my seat belt is now habit for me, too. I've always locked doors though. Doesn't matter what kind or where, if I shut a door I lock it behind me. Most of the time, this is a good thing. But, I've annoyed the shit out of loved ones & friends on more than one occasion when I've locked them out of the house and then jumped in the shower or something. Or the new surge in reality TV. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Nonsense. I'd pick the candlestick in the library. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -

Sounds like you've had enough advice, but since they're doing it... I don't know if I'd credit a burglar for knowing what some weird thing stuck to the window is. You need to spell it out for these idiots. As a sidenote, I had a sticker on every window & three signs around my first house before I ever actually had an alarm system. I saw a security company truck once in my neighborhood, pulled over, and asked him if I could bum a few stickers & signs. Yes, the monitoring companies do. One feature I enjoy is an "emergency" de-arming code. It's for the event you have a gun to your head and are being forced to de-arm the alarm. Instead of plugging in your normal code, you plug in the emergency code and the police are notified immediately and are supposed to arrive within minutes. -

Glad you're OK, Krisanne. The bright side is it's a good learning experience and sounds like you've already taken some additional steps you might have put-off had it not been for the scare. I have one question: Do you have signs and/or stickers posted around your home making it clear you have a security system? Assuming the burglar was not a confused crack addict, if the goal is to break in, take some things, and escape uncaught it's likely they'll go to the next house that does not obviously have a security system. I had the same one! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I just saw it. You didn't spoil anything.

That is hee-larious! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Shpanks! I'm completely in love with the spoiled mutt.

That's funny. You know, since you're OK and all. To everyone else, you really don't want a dog as fast and quick as ours on a less than 4' leash when you're on a bicycle and he's running. He runs faster than I can bike at times. I've seen him outrun a trained greyhound or afghan at dog park. Cruz is definitely more of a track & field star than a baller. You can literally throw a ball at him and it will hit him square in the nose and he won't flinch. He's learned to catch pretty well, but...yea, he's not a baller. Track & field star!!! It's more dangerous to him if he's on a short leash when we run him while biking. When we run him while jogging, we keep him on a shorter leash.

Depends on what you mean by paranormal. Since the subject is ghosts: Never seen one. I love the idea of them, though. I love all things spooky. I'm so curious and, while curiosity killed the cat, I'm still never shy to jump in and get my feet wet when others are shaking in their britches. I hit up all the local ghost things as a teen but, nadda. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

The latest news as of two minutes ago is they're out of the race. He said they were about 100 miles ahead of the nearest team when something went wrong with the transmission. They tried to fix it but--in the middle of the desert--were unsuccessful. It must have sucked watching the next team finally catch up and pass them. I realize it's a race and you want to win (and I have no idea if there's a purse and/or what the amount is), but at the end of the day hopefully they'll just be stoked to have had the experience. I'm not positive, but I think this was his first race so there's always next time.

No idea about trucks. I'm not into them. That's his thing. I watched about five minutes of Dust to Glory one evening when we last visited BZ's brother in CA. His poor girlfriend has seen it and other home videos a billion times. I let Billy indulge his brother's excitement while his girlfriend and I drank all their wine, laughed & took pictures of the cat. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I don't know his team name, actually. There are different starting times depending on what vehicle is being raced (I think the dune buggie thingies go first). Their race is still going as I understand. The last update we got was last night and there is still a good ways to go, but is expected to end sometime today. I think. Ha! I'm not really sure. I've attached a picture of their team truck, though.

BZ's brother's team is currently winning the Baja 1000! I think they're 20 miles ahead of the closest team!

Damn you! Actually, I don't need it. Us anal perfectionists don't care much for clutter. I either watch it or delete it. And if I've watched it, I delete it. If I get behind, I just delete it (if I don't it feels like a chore). While I've never had to, I'm confident I'd have no problems "cutting away". Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Rats. I don't get the joke. But knowing you I'm going to laugh anyways. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Well, geez. I like you. I like rehmwa. You both love the show. But, didn't it debut in 2001? I think for me that ship has sailed. At least until it reruns at 7 p.m. I never would have seen a single episode of Friends if it weren't for that. Friends is hee-larious. I had no idea. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Our DVR gets 75 hours. There's only one show I've had an issue with it occassionally recording multiple repeat episodes. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

DVR does that too, occasionally. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I think that's true for everything these days. It's very important on my DVR to make sure "record only new episodes" is checked. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Thanks for that, Sargent Spoiler. I love House. Never had a desire to watch Scrubs. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
