  1. Seriously. I like fish tacos. And Onions. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  2. Lord knows I do. But, it does annoy me when Cruz is squatted to poo and Billy makes a fart sound with his mouth. But, since we're talking stupid things to turn one's nose up to, I'm going with men who wear turtlenecks. Men should never wear turtlenecks! Jackets that zip up to the chin are acceptable. That is all. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  3. B/c FedEx/Kinkos is more convenient. And if you ship enough the rates are comparable if not less. I can overnight a package for delivery before 8:30 a.m. for $8.
  4. Some things are more fun when they're hard anyways. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  5. I disagree--purely from a psychological standpoint. Having said that, I really couldn't give a shit if that was part of the probation or not. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  6. I don't think it's a big deal. You do the crime, you pay the penalty. His particular crime seems to fit the penalty. Purchasing lottery tickets does enable such behavior. I've known a person to spend thousands of dollars on lottery tickets. Win. Then sell the winning ticket for cash so as not to have to claim the more than $1k winnings on his taxes. Of course, in the end he still looses more than he makes and keeps his family in a life of poverty by doing so. You know, it's addicting. And addiction can lead to other crime. Addiction is fine if it's not affecting others negatively. This guy robbed a freaking bank. Case closed. No lotto for you! Edit: And clearly this cat did not read the terms of his probabation which is another problem entirely. But--you know--since he ignored them let's just all feel bad for him? 7. I definitely prefer FedEx. Don't even talk to me DHL. They're morons. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  8. Hmmm. I'm pretty sure my X location is such a central sorting facility. Even so, I haven't done the math so I'm just taking your word that it is in fact less expensive & more efficient. I send/receive a LOT of FedEx and it boggles my mind when two things coming to me will be sitting at X location and I'll receive one before 8:30 a.m. that day (b/c it was sent for first delivery) and the other not until after 3 p.m. that day (b/c it was sent standard). The logistics can be a bit confusing. I mean, if both arrive at point X at the same time according to tracking, why do they need to be delivered by different couriers? The only sense I can make is they sort the priorities first. But, according to tracking it seems like they all leave the next morning at the same time and read "in transit" so they were obviously sorted w/in the same time frame. Whatever. I'm just pissed I don't have my package yet. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  9. So, I use FedEx a LOT. And I generally love them. However, often enough something will originate in the same town to which it is to be delivered. I.e. I just don't want to effing drive there myself. The tracking will always show: "Picked up. X location. At desk sort facility Xa location. Estimated delivery date four days from now. In transit. At desk sort facility Z location (8 hours from X location.) In transit back to X location." WTF? Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  10. Wishing you the best. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  11. You're 30 years out of the loop if you're still using "happening" as an adjective. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  12. Cute! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  13. I really love the new FedEx/Kinkos commercial. Let's do it! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  14. Some of the points made by Penn & Teller are really moot, others hold water. Such is true for most one-sided arguments which is why I generally like a bit more balance before buying the rhetoric. I believe the I Am An Animal documentary provided that balance. I don't expect it stands to change the overall view of either side, but it certainly provides some wonderful perspective. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  15. It touches on a lot of the same material & has some of the same criticism (minus the sarcasm, which admittedly always makes things more fun for me to watch and read, but I sucked it up and watched anyways). Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  16. I just finished watching this documentary last night. I thought director Matthew Galkin did a pretty good job at keeping it balanced between interviews with supporters & detractors of PETA. If you missed it, here is the HBO schedule. The DVD will release January 8th, 2008 and is available through Netflix. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  17. I'm curious to know why it pisses you off--I'm not agreeing or disagreeing at this point, but without the specific "why" I have a hard time responding. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  18. I like getting them, but I do NOT give them. I don't like people to know what I spent or did not spend. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  19. The some people that can support 7, 8 and 9 children (hell, I'll even go as far to start at 4) typically don't have that many. I wonder why. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  20. Finger-printing & DNA samples should be pre-requirements for it. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
