  1. I thought everyone knew that's what 420 meant. It's the police code for possession of marijuana. "yea, we got a possible 420 in progress here.".....hence why everyone has a smoke-out party on April 20th. Much love and blue skies, Carrie http://www.geocities.com/skydivegrl20/

  7. Skydive Deland has a great freefly school. I've never participated but I've heard great things and I know the guys who teach are very cool and very good flyers. RW~~no longer *just* for the belly-jumpers. Pretty soon, we'll all have grippers on our freefly suits. Much love and blue skies, Carrie http://www.geocities.com/skydivegrl20/

Oh, yes I would. Personally, and I'm no swooper yet, but I feel the judging is ALWAYS questionable. I have yet to see a canopy event that didn't seem just a little shady when it came to judging. I'm not criticizing b/c I'm sure it's difficult to judge. I just think they're still working out the most accurate and fair ways to judge. Lyle Presse was the host of the event. I think it's a fabulous idea, along with the other events Lyle has organized b/c the Para-Performance Games always happen on or near the west coast. Lyle holds a lot of swoop events on the east coast. As weid14 said, the competitors were invited. However, anyone was welcome to come as a guest. You just had to pay your own way. Lyle was on a tighter budget this year than last year. Luckily, a Venezuelan beer company, Brahma, sponsored the event which allowed them to have it. There will be an article in Parachutist, possibly Skydiving magazine, as well. The coverage is there. Rocket-Man was there. The sponsors paid. 12. Lisa, As I said when I made the statement and I'll say again, I have not been in your shoes. I have no idea what that must feel like. Because the situation is so personal to you, it would seem like a personal attack if I said that I might, in your position, be willing to let go. I stand by what I said before and I would not judge others who feel differently. If in your case your cousin decides to have kidneys cloned, so be it. I do not think less of anyone who would want to do so. I certainly can understand and sympathize. There are many valid arguements from both sides. My opinions on this matter have nothing to do with religion. I am Christian but do not believe in a lot of the moral persecutions Christains place on others. I do my best not to judge. I feel that is Gods duty, not mine. Yes, and if we keep going, eventually we'll live to be 3 times that age and so on. I believe there is a line crossed. I, personally, do not want to live to be 100, and I certainly don't want a bunch of other centenarians lying around using up the resources so that future generations will be left with nothing. My opinion is the world is overpopulated. I don't support killing people but I don't support keeping them alive when naturally, they would die.(I'm speaking about extreme cases, not simple cases of pnemonia.) It may sound harsh but to me, it's not. To me, it's life. If i see a bug in my house, I catch it, not step on it, and put it outside. But if I saw a rabbit being attacked by a cat, I would not try to save the rabbit. I couldn't watch, mind you, but I'd realize that, that is nature, it happens. I'm not saying get rid of all medicines, etc. I'm just saying, in my mind, there should be a cutting-off point and for me, cloning is that point. In your other example, taking someone off life support to save another, in my opinion is unfounded. The person would be dead if a doctor had not put them on a machine to perform all life's functions for them. I don't believe in life support, either. Let me die, dammit, don't let some machine live my life for me. Much love and blue skies, Carrie http://www.geocities.com/skydivegrl20/
  13. I wasn't there and I'm not a swooper.....YET....but from what I hear, the course was different this year and some things were changed that caused a few guys to score 0s on one or more of their jumps because they could not see a certain line they needed to be below as they entered the first gates. BZ was in 15th after the first day and if he had not had a 0 on one jump on the second day, would have been in 13th overall. The same happened to Shannon Pilcher who was in 4th after the first day and got a 0 the second day which set him back to 15th. It happened to some other swoopers as well, but I'm not for sure on who the others were and don't want to misname anyone. However, the event RULES and I'm definitely not missing it next year. Didn't even know there was a swooping forum.....even though I'm never here, I'm loyal to Talk Back. I don't go to someone, I make that someone come to me. Much love and blue skies, Carrie http://www.geocities.com/skydivegrl20/

NOT FAIR!!! When BZ called me from Venezuela, the first thing he said was, "Theres a guy here you'd love." Physically, he's pefection in my book. Unfortunately, I don't know him personally so I'll have to live vicariously through you, Lisa. BZ has my heart though, always will. There's nothing sexier than a man you love....but Shaylan.....Shaylan's pretty close....ha ha ha! Much love and blue skies, Carrie http://www.geocities.com/skydivegrl20/

Not sure of everyone's canopy size and type. Most were Velocity's and Icarus. BZ jumps a Velocity 90 and weighs 168 w/out gear. Much love and blue skies, Carrie http://www.geocities.com/skydivegrl20/

  18. Wherever there's bootie, I'll be there. Whenever cheeks are exposed, I'll be there. If there's a full-moon in the middle of the day, I'll be there. When a nice ass is bare, I'll be there.

  22. Skymama told me to check this thread.....I'm at school right now so I don't have the results on me but I have them at home so when I get a chance, I will post them. My friend Lyle organized it and his is part of the group that runs Skydiving.com so if anything, I imagine results might be posted there sometime, but otherwise, I do not know of anywhere online that results for that would be posted. When I get a chance, I will post the results. The video footage is great....I wish I could post that for you as well. Much love and blue skies, Carrie http://www.geocities.com/skydivegrl20/
