  1. BZ and I sleep in a Queen. We sleep wrapped around each other like snakes all night and only take up about a quarter of it...the cats take up the rest We have a queen-sized egg crate, too. I love it! He sleeps on a normal pillow and I sleep w/ a 100% down pillow that I've had since I was 7 so there's almost NO FEATHERS left in it, but I've gotton so used to smooshing it together into a TINY ball under my head that now I can't sleep on any other pillow. I even bought a new, SMALL down pillow and it's still too big, b/c I'm so used to my little ball. Ha ha ha Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  2. Court-whipping boy? I always thought you were playing short-stop, catching everything the other boys can't hit He he he....yes, when BZ holds my hand when walking down stairs so I don't trip wearing my stilletto heals...I think he thinks of me as a princess...HA HA HA...BUT, when I'm kicking his ass when we're wrestling or learning a new sky-trick really quickly, I think he thinks of me as FANTASTIC! 3. He he he...and don't forget the "Thank you"...we smile and say thank you Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  4. ha ha ha! Actually, though, Andrea is MUCH more of a princess! I don't consider myself one. Yes, I'm more girly than most female athletes but I dont' mind getting on a porter, or getting dirty, or whatever else. It comes w/ the job A princess typically doesn't rewire circuit breakers, install her own tile, fix her own plumbing or make her own furniture. BUT, I still like to wear my cute jeans and stilletoo healed boots! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  5. I didn't think it was slow, and I guess we didn't have as many people in it, cause' it wasn't crammed, either. I sat on the bench, thingie on the far side and was reclined back nicely. I don't mind exiting it either..., but then again, I did AFF from a porter so it was my first plane and will always have good memories with me. I've also had to learn to be pretty aggressive w/ people sometimes, being small and having WAY TOO MANY people, bascially try to sit in my lap and smoosh the hell out of me. Now, I have no quams to shove them forward and claim my space! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  6. Purple and white My FF suit is black and blue, though...but it's an electric blue w/ black and white tie-dye down the side. I love it. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  7. The porter in Deland, Andrea? You didn't like it? What a princess! Actually, the green porter, I thought, was REALLY NICE and less packed in there than I feel in the twin-otter. But I love the twin-otter and Sky-van. I don't even mind cesna's but don't prefer them either. I like to see out the window. Can't do that in the van. I admit I've been spoiled rotten in Deland, but haven't really been on any plane I didn't like, yet. Lady, you MUST tell us when you'll be back! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  8. I've always believed you were born with it, having several gay friends growing up. After taking biology extensively and learning about just how often genes mutate, etc., even the sexual preference, ets. I've concluded, even more, that it's a small chance of being BORN gay/lesbian. I think there are SOME people who choose b/c of a trend, or lack of fitting in w/ a crowd, etc., but for the most part, I think gays are truly born with same-sex preferences. My biology professor, an evolutionist mind you, so he wouldn't care much for what the Bible says, blah, blah, blah,....basically spent one class day on showing us how it IS possible AND CAN happen that some people are born that way. Also, being gay goes WAY BACK IN HISTORY. Look at the Greek culture, ancient statues of men and men and women and women. Homosexuality goes as far back as heterosexuality. I'm heterosexual, just like I'm blonde, and white...I was born w/ genes to make me that way. I'm Christian, I've read the Bible, but like I've said before in another different thread, the Bible can be interpretted in many different ways (hence why people believe they need a priest to help them) and I think the supposed phrase that "gay is a sin" is not really saying that at all. Just my thoughts.... Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  9. IT'S A BEAUTIFUL THING! He he he...through college, I'd say I compounded half, and used the other half of my returns on bills but now that I'm done, it will ALL BE compounded! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  10. Nice! I'd rather her do that, then claim bankruptcy and FORCE me to pay taxes for her ass. At least this way, people volunteered the money. I think it's GREAT. They're honest, stating exactly what they want and why and people can decide for themselves. More power to them! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  11. HA HA HA! I wonder who would donate? Not a bad idea though...couldn't hurt. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  12. Yea, I didn't take many of those classes in college but I've read a lot of books and taken a lot of financial advice from my successful father (I've been supporting myself since I left for college, by choice). I gave a few speeches about saving/investing for college students in college (it feels weird saying "in college" b/c I just graduated) but one of my examples that I give in the speech is this (taken from "Investing Like a Pro": Person A: 22 years old, invests a total of 6k over about 6 years Person B: 28 years old, invests a total of 72k over many years By the time both these people retire, at an average of a 7% ROI, both will have about 100k by age 65, but person A, who started investing earlier, invested 66k LESS and still got the same result. It speaks a LOT for starting early. I've been investing for years, and worked through all through college, and had to maintain a certain GPA to keep my scholarships that paid my full tuition. It wasn't easy but it's a LOT easier to be able to go jumping every weekend than it would have been had I not done those things. I'm adventurous, I like to do things spur of the moment, so I have to have $$$ put aside for when things like that come up. I want to be able to travel and skydive and take cool vacations all my life, but unless you're really lucky, stuff like that doesn't just fall in your lap. You have to get it yourself. I've always said I always get what I want, but it's not b/c it's handed to me, it's b/c I figure out whatever I need to do to get it and just do it, even if it's not the most fun thing in the world. Geez...sorry for the rant Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  13. Yes, I was going to say, VERY nice NATURAL na-na's! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  14. yea, don't do that, they have strict penalties for withdrawing early...but JT, do you have a reg IRA or do you have a ROTH IRA. If you have a ROTH, then there are various circumstance you can take some money out early for, penalty and tax free, like buying a house, medical emergencies, etc. AND, unlike a 401k, when you retire, the money is not taxed. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  15. That's only if you have a regular savings account...my "savings account" works just like a regular one but it's a brokerage account w/ a money market attached, so the % is a lot more. I also have 401k and Roth IRA brokerage accounts. I dont' look at it as spending money somewhere OTHER than skydiving, I look at it as making MORE money to spend on skydiving, than I would have had, had I not invested it. I'm only 22 and just graduated so I don't yet own a home, but my goal is to purchase one by the end of this year. Rent sucks! I refuse to continue making someone else rich when I could own my own and make myself rich...more $$$ = more jumps, in my mind Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  16. YEY! I thought I was in the minority, but it looks like I'm in the majority (yes and growing fast). Woo-hoo! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  17. Wooo Hoooo! I played Varsity V-ball all through HS, even had a scholarship (which I didn't take) to play in college. I was a hitter (spiker to those of you who don't play). Gabby Reece kicks bootie and she's beautiful when she does it, too! I don't play much anymore, but I live on the beach and in the summer we set up a net and play once in a while. I love it, and yes, I grunt when I spike and serve. Ha ha ha! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  18. Before I started jumping I was heavy into wakeboarding. I haven't wakeboarded in a while but I'm still very much into other sports besides skydiving: SCUBA DIVING I love repelling (don't really care much for climbing, but I'll do it) Kayaking Deep-Sea fishing I do at least one of these every month...so pretty frequently. I LOVE adventures Skydiving is GREAT and BY FAR is the best thing I do, but I can only get down to the DZ every weekend...in the afternoons or in bad weather, I can always do something else Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

  20. He he he....BZ has been jogging and eating FRUIT instead of our usual ice cream? It makes me sick....ha ha ha! I still indulge in my daily ice cream, I'm young, I'm a chick, and it gives my bones the calcium they need! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
