  1. More importantly, what would your homemade T-shirt say? Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  2. I loved him in that movie! So cute! I mean seriously, how funny is/was "The Price is Right"? Masterrig! COME ONNNNN DOWN! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  3. I can't believe it. OK, I can but... Since well before I was born Bob Barker has been hosting "The Price is Right." I watched him during summer breaks, then in college in-between classes while studying. I haven't tuned in since, but I can tell you if it weren't for Bob Barker I'd never have tuned in to begin with. Who's going to remind viewers to have their pets spayed & neutered now? What a special guy! That is all. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  4. At first you said "warm". Since we've thrown that out the window, call me old-fashioned but I like the traditional nightie. Red would not be my first choice, though. Example One. Example Two. Um, I've never actually worn anything like that out, though. I'm either in a teeny-bikini on the beach, or fairly well-covered everywhere else. I like the irony. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  5. Congrats! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  6. I said an answer is "due now", silly. Duenow. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  7. P.S. Don't know what video, but I bet an answer is due now. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  8. It's never the good songs that are stuck in my head. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  9. No clue. But, I keep singing: My umbrella. Ella. Ella. A. A. A. A. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  10. My entire family has Papillons--at least two each. I had two Papillons and a Mini-Schnauzer growing up, which I loved dearly. But, I would never buy a dog. I'll always adopt. We were looking for a small dog when adopting, but the bigger dogs are more difficult to adopt out. Cruzer had been at the AC&C for a while b/c he wasn't so excited to see everyone--always laid curled up sadly in the back of his cage. He had been abused apparently. It only took him three days to come out of his shell once home.
  11. Mutts! Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  12. It was definitely a neat discovery. I love that the letters were found in the laundry room. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  13. Exactly! Though, important note: I couldn't care less about Ms. Hilton. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  14. I come and go. I'm not really the type myself. I do not hold on to material things b/c of a sentimental value. I have my memories and my heart. I see no reason to transfer such emotion unto an inanimate object; with few exceptions of course. I was surprised how overwhelmed with emotion I was yesterday. Happy emotion, but definitely teared up quite a bit. It's like scuba was for me. I was certified and did my first 20 dives in the Caribbean. SPOILED! Nothing locally quite compares of course. And similarly that's how my home DZ is for me.
  15. Where I come from, our pilot hung out, drank beer and was one of the gang. If my memory serves me correctly, he even had a few hundred skydives under his belt. More importantly, he was responsible for many botched exits of mine during AFF. He insisted I wave on exit while flying the hump. I waved every time. And by the third time I was actually stable while doing it. He was also the one to radio down to manifest warning everyone to keep an eye out for BillyZ's canopy--you know, the day I decided to pack his eliptical as a surprise. Love ya, Jerry. LOVED the yellow porter. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  16. I'll try to keep this short. Most of the time, when an amazing experience has come to an end, I shed some happy tears and before long I'm on to the next awesome time. Sometimes, thankfully not often though, an equal or better new thing can not be so easily found. Yesterday it poured rain all day. Billy has shelves and shelves in a spare closet filled with those little camera tapes from years of skydiving videography & photography. He's not the most organized of cats and many are not labeled or in any sort of order whatsoever, except for being lined up & shelved neatly thanks to me. So he decided to go through some yesterday. And before we knew it we were watching a replay of our lives for two years at my old home DZ. I know I don't have to describe what that feels like to most of you, but we're all biased and for me, there's no explaining my particular home DZ to anyone that wasn't there every week. We spent the entire rainy day watching and laughing and remembering those that were like family to us for so long. It's funny--just two days ago we were driving home from sushi night and for no reason at all I asked Billy, "Hey, whatever happened to Mike-y?" And we started laughing at the many funny things Mike-y said and did. Two days later, there's Mike-y, us and the rest of "our crew" resurrected from little tapes full of big memories. I just wanted to say, I REALLY MISS YOU GUYS! You have no idea how thankful I am to have been a part of your world and for you to forever be a part of mine.
  17. What I meant is almost exactly that--more requirements for canopy-training & expanding on what is required now. Some have restricted turn ratios. Many view this as a "ban". I agree the sky is not falling. But change is necessary to keep it from doing so, metaphorically speaking. And with that, I'm out like trout for the weekend. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  18. I was suggesting more canopy training for students and a canopy course under a regular canopy. No-one should be "forced" to fly a high-performance canopy for a license requirement (unless it's a special license, not the A, B, C or D). That was NOT my suggestion. But, for those wanting to fly a high-performance canopy, it's not a bad idea to have them complete a course first. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  19. Great idea! Never said it would, and absolutely agree! It might, however, make the future HP lander think a bit more before doing so even if in their own pattern traffic.
  20. Apparently not. Some still think limiting turn ratio is not "banning" a swoop, technically speaking. But, I think now we also have opposite sides argueing for the same thing.--I see both sides agreeing to separation of landing time & space. There is still arguement over whether there should be a BSR change and/or additional education required. Happy to catch you up. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  21. I have never said education is the answer to the problem with already licensed skydivers. When there's a problem, one has to look at an immediate solution as well as solutions to make things even better in the future. Educating students on canopy-control, patterns, etc. will be better than the status quo as far as future incidents. Education can be part of the answer. No-one, at least not me, said it is THE answer. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  22. I tend to agree, which is what I've been suggesting when I say "education". If a canopy course & such is required before an A license, I definitely believe it would be helpful. And if we're educating that early, we're educating before one has the opportunity to become a "skygod". Absolutely there will be some that regardless of the training will make mistakes unintentionally or purposefully later on. The bottomline, however, is there is definitely not enough canopy-control, pattern landing, etc. information given to students. If I had a penny for all the things I "learned later" instead of initially regarding patterns & canopy-control, etc. I'd be a billionaire. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  23. I'm guessing a lot of skydivers learn better hands on than reading a manual. We do have excellent canopy courses available. They are not required, though, and many people that should take advantage of them don't. Education is most definitely still needed, in addition to...
  24. I didn't respond to that person, but you would like me to? I'll pass. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
