  1. I think Sangiro was working on the buttons last night and could have caused this. I have tested on two of my browsers now though and I can't see the issue. On IE 9 and Firefox 20.1 it looks fine. Please note that some functionality may not be compatible with outdated browsers, and we recommend that users use a new stable and modern browser, for best results. Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are our browsers of choice.
  2. Can you please confirm that this has been resolved for you?
  3. We've now changed the wording from Threads to Posts, this is closer in line with the previous 'My Posts' phrasing that was used in the previous template, and makes a bit more sense.
  4. On mobile or on a pc/laptop? The only time that this should be an issue, is if you're using very out of date hardware. Our site is catered to screen resolutions of 1024x768 and up (far below the standard screen size used). So you shouldn't be having to scroll on a computer unless you're using a really low resolution, namely something like 800x600. If you're having to scroll, we recommend seeing if you are able to increase the resolution on your monitor (how you do this will depend on the operating system you run). But we would suggest running at a minimum of 1024x768 pixels.
  5. You don't need to go to the home page though, there is the exact same link right up there in the corner of the forums. All that's different is that we changed the word "my posts" to "threads". The link is in the same general location of the page as the links on the home page (the top right 'my stuff' box.

  8. I'm not a freefall photographer, just a landscape and wildlife one. But you're in good hands with the 10-20mm Sigma I'd think. I've handled the 7D quite a bit, and own a 50D - I've also used the 350, 450 and 550D. Moving up to the 7D will be a nice change for you, mainly because of the more enhanced AF and better ISO handling. If you're wanting to remain at wide angle, as I'm sure you are, the Sigma 10-20mm is my lens of choice, though if one prefers barrel distortion (for the wider look) the Tokina 10-17mm is also quite popular.
  9. FIFY. The hash symbol, outside of America has been referred to as the hash symbol for a long, long time. All that twitter has done, is shown Americans what the symbol is really called ;)
  10. We still have this, it's under "Topics" on the top right corner. There is the main 'my stuff' navigation box with "Profile, Messages, Topics, Friends, Subscriptions". You can access it there, or via the 'my stuff' dropdown at the top.
  11. Hey, There were a handful of avatars that were corrupt and that were causing problems. While it's not ideal, we recommend uploading a new avatar, or the original of your previous. Uploading a new/reuploading one should sort it out.
  12. Animated Avatars are actually still not allowed, and I should probably fire Nova a PM about it. We should probably add that fact into the rules of the forum, which I will do. Personally as an ADD sufferer, I find animated gifs delightfully fascinating and get lost in them for days ;) But I know that it's something that was of controversy way back and that they weren't allowed. And fair enough too - we attempt to get rid of flashy ads, so there's no reason why flashy avatars should stay

  14. Whoops, was busy working on fixing the login problem and with it came some of the old/testing template ;) The e-mail link wasn't supposed to be on that My Stuff box as its home is under the my stuff dropdown... But I think the two my stuffs need a bit of work, having two of the same name navigation areas isn't ideal. -makes note-
  15. This user contacts users with wanted ads up and offers them gear, asking for their address or telephone number. It is unclear whether or not this user reaches the step of providing his banking details, but it has become clear that the user has been attempting to collect user information through these e-mails, such as address or phone numbers. We have disabled the user from the site.
  16. I've changed this to reflect only exact matches only, it should be resolved now. Let me know if you see otherwise.
  17. theonlyski is correct with most of his above post. We did change the size of the avatars on the forum area however, we made them just a tiny bit larger - which doesn't distort the image usually unless it was uploaded via the old system, and uses an entirely different file directory on our server. While we have done what we can to make it so that one's images be brought over onto the new profile. We do recommend that some of the older users re-do their profile pictures, while it's entirely up to that user - it can just make their profiles look better and solve the distortion problem caused on older images in forum avatars. I looked at the old template quick and see that your profile picture never worked on your profile there either, so reuploading a decent image (300x300px or more) would make the profile a bit nicer and should fix the distortion problem :)
  18. At this stage I would tend to think it's likely an issue on your browser's side. We've done testing for the past month with 20+- users and there hasn't been any other reports of this during the testing phase or after going live, and I imagine it would be something that would be brought up pretty quickly. Is there any specific area where it happens? Or on all sections? Also, what browser are you using? EDIT: I've done some testing on this and it seems that there is an issue with the login, though will only affect a few I think. When I try log in with another username, it keeps me logged in with my current username. I am working on a fix for this now.
  19. No need to dig really ;) It's under the my stuff drop-down menu at the top as well as under 'topics' on the right side of your screen. On the side bar. So you should be able to get to it with a single click.
  20. Ah, I see what's going on... Tag issues again. Basically, the OP post looks like this [.li][.li][.li] There are two problems with that... First, we highly encourage closing ALL tags. So when you make an [.li] tag, for example - make sure to close off each [.li] to look like this. [.li]text[./li][.li]text[./li] But most importantly, using list items without specifying a list, is incomplete HTML and that is causing it to break. When you plan on using list items ([.li]) You NEED to put them within a list type, in the case of the forums, within an unordered list. So where the OP looks like this. What it should look like is this: Users should note the [.ul] and [./ul] that must be placed between any [.li] tags :) OP: Once you edit your post to reflect like above, it should be sorted :)
  21. Not intentional ;) Thanks for the heads up, will work at getting the styling there right.
  22. Just to be sure, you right clicked on the shortcut and selected to copy the link location (or your browsers variant on that) ? As opposed to just clicking on it? What browser are you using?
  23. I'm going to change the way the recent posts list work later today, I will refine the forum areas from where it grabs information and in the process I will remove the History and Trivia section from being pulled into that feed. That forum itself is generally quiet and the most active thread is the DBCooper one. That should remove the thread from the recent posts listing. Edit: You should no longer see the DBCooper thread in the recent posts area.
  24. We aren't likely to create a whole forum for it, it's a topic that has been discussed several times over the years. While it may change at some point, a single thread should suffice. Considering how out of hand it's gotten in the past, a whole forum for it would turn into a nightmare. But JeffCa, we may look at the option of removing that forum section from the recent posts lists - so that the list is populated by more vital areas of the forum.
