December 30, formation loads, or as big as we can get. See you all soon. Love Gordo

half of them are dancing in the hangar, the other half are outside of the hangar on their cellphones, it's bedlam, pure bedlam. and they all start back at it at noon tomorrow.

Karl and 3MA had a brake lock on touch down after jump 3, slid off the runway, karl powered up to get clear. minimal damage. (wheel, tire, brake caliper). Aero Specialists got him back up for jump 4, Great pilot, got his acft off the active runway with only 2 go arounds. Hell of a nice guy too.

I've been helping out in registration for this thing for the last two days. Everybody who is somebody is here, Russian 8way team, French 4way team, Brazilians, Germans, Italians, South Africans, Mal the Kiwi, Guisto from Uraguay. Everybody. the only time I have ever seen so many Otters in one place was a picture in a book about DeHaviland aircraft, can't throw a rock with out hitting an Otter, Skydive Oregon's pair of nice 300's, Perris' Shark and 300, Chicago's 200's, the really sharp Spaceland Otter, Kapowsin's pretty blue bird and a neat looking yellow 100 series from I don't know where. The '3 blew an engine a week and a half ago and DJ and the boys are working to hang the new one and have it running and ready by Sunday afternoon (it's only a back up if needed). The Go Fast guys are here with at least a full truck load of Go Fast drinks, t-shirts, helmets and stickers. They have the HUGE Go Fast bus and the coolest old Ford Econoline van in Go Fast paint on a tow bar behind it. They ran out of free goodies by 10am this morning so Troy had to have more Merch shipped in by air to Phoenix (ran out of the special, high altitude helmets). Quite the show so far. 100 ways today to tune up the pilots and jumpers alike, no completions yet but tomorrow is a new day.

hey Israel, glad you had a good time and good to see you again. The turnout for this was kind of low but still fun. The weather today was much better. See you at the Holliday Boogie. PS The jet is an L-39 Gordo

I am a professional, i consider it bad form to take out anyone, but even professionals have limits............................. Seriously, I am proud to be asked to shoot for the DZ.com skydives, and excited to get to meet all of you and also to see those I already know. See the perfect picture of a DZ.com big way and see yourself flying on that big way..................................cheers

I am apalled!!! I can't believe that you would even think that I would take out a formation!!! Gently push off the tail maybe (1 out of 100), but take out a bunch of people, uh, no. How ever, I do know the organizer(s), and I can arrange................. Luv Gordo

That crash and one other caused the FAA issue an AD (airworthyness directive) to ground the entire fleet of T34s in the country for a main spar defect until they could have a inspection and repair procedure worked out. They are all back in the air now, with speed and manuever restrictions for some models (A's or B's). The T34 owners association says that the new inspection procedure for the spars has found very few aircraft with with cracked spars and are lobbying the feds to have the restrictions removed.

April 1990, my buddy Eric and I did this in Cali. I flew with Robert "hollywood" Kuntzman, Eric flew with "RP" we ended up going 3 for 3 and got to do some extra aerobatics as the people scheduled after us canceled, because of clouds inland we flew out by the islands and we seemed to always get into a vertical fight and on one of them I remember looking down (straight forward, I was getting my ass kicked on this one) and seeing a ship under way about 7000' below us and wondering if they could see us up here about that time Eric came over the radio with "GUNS, GUNS, GUNS"! Got my self shot down. Back then it cost $400 bucks the prices went up fairly fast after TopGun came out and got anything military aviation related into mainstream use (leather jackets being the leading product) Go do it, "hollywood" let me fly all the way to short final back at Fullerton.

sorry all, do not mean to rub it in or boast. this is a pretty big milestone for me and i wanted to share with all the online family, however they were alot of fun and i got to jump almost every day, while you were all sitting at work, having to listen to your coworkers boring stories about the kids birthday parties and yardwork, i was hopping on the next otter for our back to back and debrief on the 40 after. not that i'd rub it in...............
