Cutting me out of my gear?? I have often thoufht about that. I would hope that the folks at the DZ got me out of my gear before the EMTs got there and started cutting on my stuff.

...or do skydivers just seem to be much happier than the general population? Every day I come into work I am surrounded by people who hate their lives. They are not passionate about anything outside of work. Maybe it's an adrenaline thing?? Either way, I look forward to going to the DZ every weekend and hangin' out with people who always have a smile on their face.

I really want to go but won't be able to make it. A couple of buddies of mine are taking the Skyvan leaving from Eloy. I heard the ride out there was only $75...not bad. Have fun though!!!!

I am usually sore after every weekend I jump. Sometimes it's worse than other times...depending on what I did. Recently I have started going to a chiropractor and it has helped a lot! I suggest taking a look into it. Especially if you have insurance..you get an hour massage for a $10 copay. I'll take that deal any day.

They won't allow me to jump naked. They said it would be too dangerous....like having another pilot chute back there flopping in the wind. I can't even wear shorts for crying out loud

Yes, what a show. Aside from the incorrect info they gave about breathing at terminal, the shots that they got were incredible. I was waiting to see the jumper go head down to stay with the Falcon a little longer. I would have freaked out. FF with a Falcon??? Well, now we know it can be done.

Well, I just learned this weekend how hard it is to FF when you have developed the RW habits. It's impossible to sit fly when you have that "built in" arch. It's so hard not to use it as a crutch when you're learning to FF.

Well, I attempted sit flying for the first time this weekend. You guys make it look a lot easier than it really is. I spent most of the time on my back, side, upside down, and every other way. How many jumps does it usually take for somebody to get this down? With that said, it was the funnest jump I have had yet and I didn't even come close to getting it right. Can't wait to try it again!

Thanks Faulk for the info but I still am not clear on the reasoning behind telling a student to go straight to their silver. Does the reserve normally open quicker or is it just supposed to be easier?? I am still a little unclear on the "why".
