LOL! Thanks, Jerry and DM. I'm in Belgium. All the 'stuff' was sent here before she decided she wasn't coming and well before she decided she wanted out. So, she's going out on her own with an inflatable mattress, clothes and a car. I couldn't have done much better on that front. I'm doing fine. I have trips to Paris, London, Amsterdam and Brugge lined up before the end of the year. I was in Luxembourg last weekend. I'm going to enjoy my life no matter what. I think the abortion issue is sufficiently complex and emotional that trying to get any politician to come down definitively on the subject is ridiculous. And only zealots want legislation on the matter from the feds. The problem is that they all want different legislation. Either you want to kill babies or you want to enslave women. Personally, I'm ok with a politician who does not take a stand on this issue. It's not something politicians need to be involved in. No matter which way you go, lives are going to be damaged or destroyed. It doesn't bother me when Obama doesn't take a stand on an issue. I wasn't terribly thrilled when my 18yo daughter got pregnant. I tried to get her to come up with a plan to take care of the baby and get somewhere in life with my help. I haven't heard anyone make a cogent argument that he was remotely qualified when he was elected. We will always wonder how much race and guilt played into it. He played the card, but subtly. My concern is that it might not matter who gets elected. Things rarely change much and we need things to change much. I prefer Romney because he has potential. IF things can be turned around, he has enough money that he should not be beholding to anyone. He has proven he can walk away from power by not running again for Governor. We need someone who can make hard decisions that are not going be popular, but will leave us better off. We need someone who can go in with no intention of another four years. You might have the same problem as Valinda. You look super good, so they assume you're in great shape, etc. Valinda hates it when doctors say "Well, you LOOK fine." Not wishing to offend, my friend.
