you do realise she's not riding it she's merely a pillion. Nope. Didn't. Now I see even less purpose to the video. Lucky: WTF? Sounds like you dodged a bullet...I hope. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

I can see it. You spent decades being reliable, working, taking care of others. The kids are out of the house. Your career (at least the first one) might be drawing to a close. Maybe it's time to try something new. Maybe you think you missed something while you were working and going to school during your early 20s. Personally, I've been trying to find a balance between fun time and responsibilities for the past few years. Hardly a crisis. Sounds like your mom is returning to her roots. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

Just an idea. Haven't thought it through. I have no issue with all drugs being legal. Caveat Emptor and all that. I just have an issue with people who don't use them having to pay for the consequences. So: Driving under the influence, etc. remains criminal. Roughly calculate the cost to society of the drugs (alcohol, tobacco, pot, LSD, whatever) in terms of law enforcement, estimated health care costs, etc. Then, apply those costs as a tax on the products in question. Now that I have to pay for other people's healthcare, I'll be taking a greater interest in how they care for their health...and advocating taxes on unhealthy things. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

NOT a Jeep. My current ride barely qualifies. It has auto trans and air conditioning. When I get back to the US, I'm getting another TJ. I don't get it. The shape looks good when she bends over, but when she sits up, the waist to hip ratio suggests she's not really that curvy. Some girls' rear ends look better when they are bent over like that. The lack of a face shot or anything other than this one view suggests all she has is a curvature in this one position. I do add points to the sexy factor when a woman rides a sportbike. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. My name is David Johnson. I worked for AT&T for a while. They assigned me davjohns as a logon. I've used it whenever a system doesn't allow me to use my full name. Sigh...disappointing. I never agreed with him, but I respected him. Now, I'm losing that. TV said 39% approval rating this morning... I'll go just a bit further: eliminate all government legislation regarding mariage, domestic relations, etc. If two or three or a dozen people want a relationship, they can put in writing what the expectations are and the terms should one of them want to terminate the relationship. They can provide for inheritance and require in their contract that individual wills conform with the contract. They can lay out what individuals get and what they are to put in. The government need never get involved unless there is a contract dispute. There should be no (so called) rights created by marriage. No tax breaks. No child deduction. No automatic inheritance. Nothing. To give married people these 'extras' is to coerce people into a relationship they might not want. It is the antithesis of freedom. Why should individuals be deprived of these 'rights'? I understand the existing laws were to protect the women who were in a disadvantaged position by giving up careers to support their family, played the traditional housewife role, etc. Those days are gone. We now claim we are all equal. So, why do we still have a system that encourages inequality? If women who wanted a traditional role had a contract saying what they would get should the man cheat, find someone younger, etc., wouldn't she be in a stronger position than what the current system provides? Wouldn't she be more equal? The current form of marriage is a leftover of an archaic system. If you want equality, do away with systems that encourage inequality. Why do you say that? For me personally, it's just too much fun to stomp that throttle and makes me drive aggressive, I can't be the only one, right? We really don't need anymore aggressive drivers in California. I can empathize. I love the HP my bike has. If anyone gets stupid on the road, I twist my wrist and they disappear behind me. Nice to have, but sometimes a bit tempting. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. Working my way through the "Ice and Fire" series (Game of Thrones) before sleepy time. Listening to "United States and the Middle East 1914 to 9/11" on the ride back and forth to work. I haven't seen one I really liked in decades. I fell in love with a fully restored 67 Hardtop Convertible with L88 scoop, big block, 4 speed, and original redwall tires once. This new one is certainly a departure from the previous version. Looks like they hired an Italian to help them make it sexy. I approve the look. Did you hear that you can't keep your policy even if you liked it?
davjohns replied to SkyDekker's topic in Speakers Corner
I am pretty disgusted with all politicians these days. Not just from one side, but all sides. They are nothing more than self serving crooks. The only people I am more disgusted with than the politicians is the media, oh and the lawyers too. But since politicians are more often than not, lawyers, it's all the same thing. I wish I could argue with you on the lawyer part. But I'm a lawyer. I have to admit the vast majority of them made me feel dirty....either from having to work with them or from knowing people saw me in the same light with them. Most were just crooked. Some were so uniquely incompetent that I wondered how they got to work in the morning. I have to admit we are in perfect agreement. Damn that's sad. Not that you are right. Just that I don't have a way to argue with you on the matter. Facts just aren't on the side of an opposing opinion. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course. -

Obama's approval rating is the lowest of his tenure
davjohns replied to regulator's topic in Speakers Corner
Sigh.... If the best you can say about a sitting president is something like, "He isn't as bad as...." you aren't winning the argument. Bush wasn't great. He didn't start an illegal war. It wasn't illegal by international standards. It wasn't based on lies. Quit saying stupid things and I'll give your opinions more weight. I don't think the war was a great idea or well executed. But I was one of the guys getting shot at and I'm not complaining. And for the record; war is a stupid way to solve ANY dispute. Please quit pretending some wars are morally just and only those started by someone you don't like are not. It says you think I should be willing to die for YOUR values, but not someone else's. Presidents from both sides of the aisle routinely send us (military) into harm's way. Don't start wagging your finger at one unless you hit them all. The incumbent president voted for Iraq and Afghanistan, too. We're still in Kosovo (Clinton said we'd be there one year) and Somalia didn't exactly make the top ten of great decisions. I don't know if I'm the only one around here who is being honest, or if I'm deceiving myself more than anyone else; but arguing which president was better in recent history is about like arguing virtue among whores. We've been on a downhill slide for decades and I don't see anyone hitting the brakes. George H. W. Bush might have been the best in memory. He raised taxes (despite his stupid campaign statement), limited expenses, and didn't get us into too much international garbage. But the very fact that I have to hold him up for those few things tells me how bad off we are. Of course, I may be romanticizing even him. I'll turn off my rant mode, now. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course. -
Um....Normiss....you not gettin' any, buddy? Nobody getting regular sex should be quite that upset about such a silly thing. I read the article. It doesn't say he denied it. It says he said they were making a mountain out of a molehill. (agreed) It also said the quote came in specific reference to the movie that was being described in the wiki article. That doesn't even sound like he was claiming it as his own. What I do find interesting is that someone heard him say it, recognized it, researched it, reported it, it was made into an article, it was commented on here. Sounds to me like someone really doesn't like him. I don't know much about him, but I think he got it right. A mountain straining to give birth to a molehill. Seems we've been through this before. Currently: Scenario 1: Man and woman decide to have sex. Create a baby. Man doesn't want one. Woman does. Sucks to be him. Scenario 2: Man and woman decide to have sex. Create a baby. Man wants one. Woman doesn't. Sucks to be him. Scenarios 3 and 4: They both want one or both don't want one. It works out in the short term for them. Not necessarily for the baby. I'm reminded of that moment in the movie "War Games" where the computer quickly runs through Tic Tac Toe games and then nuclear war scenarios and finally declares, "The only way to win seems to be to not play". No form of birth control is 100% if you have sex. Promises of birth control are even less reliable. But it does seem the odds are stacked in the woman's favor if all else is equal. Of course, you throw in the deadbeat dad / mom option and permutations multiply rapidly. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

I was a cop in my early twenties. I thought I was really somethng. Even then, I was very polite to everyone no matter what they said or did. I knew I would always go home at the end of the shift. They might be in jail. No need to get angry. I will always remember the one time I raised my voice at a guy. He was in the wrong and I was trying to help him walk away. He wouldn't shut up. I finally raised my voice and said something like, "Will you just shut up a minute?" I immediately caught myself and apologized to him. Afterwards, I told the rookie with me that it was a terrible example. There's never a reason to let a subject get under your skin. This guy is all kinds of wrong. He should be charged just as if he wasn't wearing a uniform when he did this. But it is more wrong because he was wearing the uniform. I'm not sure I understand why. Politicians have people write their stuff. They just deliver it. Technically, isn't that plaigarism? Do you think any of the Presidents in the past 40 years wrote the things they said or cited their writers as a source? OK...this guy should own up after the fact...maybe he should even mention the original source during the speech. Not exactly a character flaw if he doesn't attribute it during the speech. If he / she denies it after the fact, I think we can attribute that to him / her as a character flaw. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet..
