Overall, a lot less tax revenue. That is, unless you make it a flat tax of 35%. I haven't done research, but once read that a flat tax of 13% would replace our current system. My guess is that she was holding onto him and the shoe went with her when she fell. A few years ago, at a site I fly, a guy went off the ramp without being hooked in. He was notorious for forgetting. Nobody knew he was about to fly. He yelled 'clear', which indicates he is about to launch, and he launched. Nobody had a chance to check him. He held onto the glider as long as he could and then dropped a couple hundred feet to the ground. There is a procedure for dealing with this situation, but very few have the upper body strength to pull themselves up into the control frame without simultaneously sterring the glider in an undesired fashion. What happens when a company outgrows itself? There is a forced contraction or eradication. In "country" terms: wars, unrest, illnesses, migration, etc. MMMM...have we thwarted natural solutions in both areas? We've given disease a hard route to population reduction. Well...here goes. Social engineering. The government wants you married, homeower, with kids, etc. So, you get deductions for living your life the way they want you to. Perhaps they see the population as more manageable that way, or it meets their worldview or something. You get a deduction for kids. Why? Why should the government care? You get a deduction for owing on a home. NOT owning a home. Owing. So, we have subsidized the mortgage industry indirectly for decades. That went well. And again, why should the government care? You get a deduction for giving money away. Why? You get deductions for anything you can tag a job expense. Why? Nobody has managed to explain to me yet why a flat tax isn't simple, fair and easy to enforce. We'd save a fortune by eliminating the tax code and IRS overnight. Everyone pays. You earn little, you pay little. You earn much, you pay much. No deductions. Spend it how you like. No tax returns necessary. XX% per month is the same at the end of the year. The timeline appears to be: 1986-1989 - Iraq attempts genocied against Kurds, including use of chemical weapons (where Chemical Ali got his nickname) 1991 - UN oversees destruction of chemical weapons in Iraq, but admits they didn't get it all. 1998 - President Clinton orders airstrikes to destroy chemical weapon stockpiles in Iraq 2002 - UN and many others are estimating huge stockpiles of chemical weapons in Iraq. Syria lobies on behalf of Iraq to allow Syria to sell Iraq more military equipment as Syria is building chemcial stockpiles itself. 2003 - Convoys of trucks flee Iraq for Syria prior to the US lead invasion of Iraq. After the invasion, nobody can find the chemical weapons in Iraq. Conclusion - There were never any chemical weapons in Iraq. Wow. I see your issue. Do you remain quiet and become part of the lie. I think there are lots of facts surrounding this that would take all day. Obviously she has issues with guys and probably shouldn't be dating. But you say the new guy is good. At least he's against the drugs. What is in the best interests of the children? I would presume family has or had custody while sis was in prison. I think someone should have custody of all three permanently. It is unlikely your sister is ever going to turn away from drugs. If prison didn't count as hitting bottom, she may never make it there before she kills herself. Very sorry to say that. I've just seen that some people need more than hitting bottom to quit. Being very frank and a bit brutal...I think someone needs to take charge of the kids and sis needs to cut off until she makes a committment to take charge of her life. Sounds like she hasn't. I think that means the PO should know. At the same time, it is unlikely a single positive test will send her back to prison. Most POs work hard to keep you out of prison because the prisons are so full. I've defended guys with multiple felonies (non-violent) who have never gone to prison. I'm so confused... I watched the video. Apparently some Muslims had a problem that some atheists were getting together at a convention. The Muslims sought to win the atheists over by gathering outside and telling the atheists they were going to burn in hell. (An interesting marketing technique, but I'm not an expert) The atheists apparently got bored with the convention (Understandable. I imagine the meeting is something like, "At the last meeting, we decided God does not exist. Any new business? Anyone? Can we make a motion that God still does not exist? Anyone? No? ...."), so the atheists decided to go get some fresh air and sun and yell silly things at the Muslims (Yet another innovative marketing campaign). So...the purpose of an atheist convention confuses me. Since it's underlying principle (no god) is even harder to prove than that of other religions (god(s) exist(s)), they seem to be a religious group. I guess they are getting together to discuss how to convert people? Makes sense to me. All the other religions do it. They don't want to be left out. But since they seem to attend meetings and give their money to this religion, I'm not sure how it is better than the other options.
