I would definitely prefer casket closed. I am curious to hear reasons of those who prefer it open. I have no desire to look at someone's dead body. Nor do I ever want someone looking at mine. I don't think it helps with "goodbye's". When my mom passed away almost 6 years ago, all I could do is look at her and think the most bizarre thoughts such as: "yeah, they totally had to sew her lips" and "yep, they put fake boobs in because I know she wasn't that endowed" and "she would never wear that much makeup". I later questioned my sanity for thinking all those weird thoughts. Maybe it was my way of not having to deal with her death at the time. Like Lisa H.! So I finally get home after being gone a week. The kids and I are catching up on the past week with a walk. We stop at the mailbox and get the weeks worth of mail. There is a card from Lisa H. Well one of my closest friends is Lisa H. so I figured it was an invitation of sorts from her (didn't even look at the address!) I gave the envelope to my girls to open and they start giggling saying "Mommy there is confetti in here!" and all three of us started giggling together at all the confetti that poured out of the card. 14:? Summerfest was awesome!!!! Too many good jumps... spent some time with Steve from Skydive Chicago's Team Rhythm on organized jumps. Did a 23 way no jumpsuit BFR that was amazingly scary and also a hybrid attempt (I am not a free flyer) that actually went better than I would have thought. You really should know your policy. Many insurance companies have a yearly out of pocket maximum. Check that. Most do have provisions for out of Network. And from what you quoted, you are only responsible for the percentage of allowed charges. Do you realize the contractual agreements with providers are quite low. For example if a procedure cost 5K, the insurance company might have a contractual agreement to pay 2K (and yes it really is that big of a difference) and of that 2K you would pay 30%.... or $600. Then you really should have an out of pocket max. Damn people know your insurance coverage.
