You can't make this stuff up, or Truth is Stranger than Fiction
Coreece replied to kallend's topic in Speakers Corner
Oh, the insurance company said so. Well then, it's settled! Again, the irony would be if the ark was damaged/destroyed, not the surrounding land that in the original story was to be completely flooded and destroyed regardless of how adequately you prepared. -

Yes, a lawsuit for damages that had nothing to do with the ark. So what, any time they sue for water damage to anything they own (cars, houses, driveways) it will be unthinkable, strange and ironic to you? Either you didn't read the story you posted or you were deliberately lying by implication and are now once again weaseling around when called out on it. Yes, the damage was done to a road that was destroyed, while the ark survived the flood. In the the original story, the entire world was destroyed while the ark survived the flood. So keeping inline with Jakee's theme, wtf is your point? -

Wow, a landslide washes out a road, and an insurance company refuses to pay on a claim! If you can't make up something like that, you might lack imagination. -
Now you move on to attacking me for not using the word fetus. No, why would you even say that? I already told you why I didn't think you were referring to a fetus. . . .and if you don't want to feel attacked when being called out for talking nonsense, then maybe try not talking nonsense. Sez the guy who said "non-human globs."

There IS a problem with global warming... it stopped in 1998

Two things I find interesting about this video: 1. Many people today still seem too stupid/lazy to achieve even that level of "dumb." 2. Everything we know about technology today and how we went about developing it will likely look just as "dumb" to those in the very distant future. -
Who said embryo? Are you able to articulate the scientific term you were referring to when you said "blob" so we don't have to play this stupid game? Given that a fetus typically has arms, legs and a head, I don't see how it could be considered a blob - but then again, some people have compared human progeny to cancerous tumors and even cake, so I guess I'll just add it to the list of dumb comparisons.

How does that follow what I said? We've already determined that according to article 14, the unborn don't fit the definition of a citizen, but that has nothing to do with whether or not non-citizens have rights. . . .and btw, if it's not a human embryo, what kind of embryo is it? (also, it's nice to quote the person you're responding to so they are notified. Your snarky one-liners tend to get lost amid the more substantial posts in this forum.)

Point proven with a quickness. Nah, there's been a lot more quality posts on a variety of topics as of late, some even from newer posters. I know you guys miss the little tump bashing circle jerk thing you had going on here, but it's good to step away from time to time.

don't let it go to your head or nothing. . .

Don't attribute to malice that which is. . .well you know the rest. -

You're thinking CIA headquarters in Langley, VA, the George Bush Center for Intelligence. They should probably now specify "Sr." so people don't misunderestimate that it's named after his son. Nah, that stigma has faded since Trump makes GWB look like more George Washington. . .Bush. -
Ya, it's a bit too clean. But it's still funny to think about.

Dude, please tell me that you didn't print that out and physically highlight it.

Lame backpedal What's lame is your chronic inability to admit, or even recognize your fallacious logic. You said that according to article 14 all persons born in the U.S are citizens, therefore the unborn aren't citizens and don't have the rights of "said citizens," but any lack of rights has nothing to do with a lack of citizenship. By your logic, illegal immigrants at the border wouldn't have a right to due process. The issue of rights has more to do with jurisdiction and personhood, not citizenship.

They have just as much right to live on this planet as humans do. I think the overall point is that it's just stupid/hypocritical to exploit the death of animals just to support your preferred energy source.

That ended when we let Kallend in.
