Sounds like a perfect candidate for the deplorable thread, plus it lessens the whole guilt by association thing for the other republican senators.
-
What was that? What are those? We're almost 20 years into the 21st century, and while we can debate the level of discrimination and the veracity of racist claims in this country, it's pretty much a widely accepted fact that blacks are heavily disadvantaged on multiple levels in this country. Practically every related stat you find will show huge racial disparities. Hell, even 1st world immigrants and 3rd world shit hole refugees are given more advantages than African Americans living in 3rd world shit hole neighborhoods, and it's fucking bullshit on so many levels that I don't even know where to begin. . .

Doesn't my lame turtle joke count? Believe it or not, there was an underlying point in there somewhere. (There's also the possibility that she just ignore-listed me for being such an enormiss jackass in the mass shooting abortion thread.) One of the first things I did was rent a mail box from some mom n' pop shop so it looks like a normal apartment address rather than a P.O box. A cheap pre-paid phone for callbacks was also a must. These can typically be funded with your first day-labor gig. Pfffft, you and your luxury, I had to sleep in a 2-door coupe! It was still a huge advantage tho, not only did it have a solar roof, it practically guaranteed me day-labor gigs as long as I was willing to drive other day-laborers to the job site. Also, public beach showers are nice, but I found an affordable 1-month gym membership to be well worth the extra cost for the mental and physical advantages it provided. Cup noodles! And I recommend that good hot water from the red coffee spigot at the gas station, not that lukewarm crap they serve at the local public bathroom.

The republican no show prevented the democrat majority from steamrolling them once again, effectively securing a victory and allowing them to represent their voters' interests even when faced with threats of arrest and $500/day fines. It's not too often that you find find representatives willing to make such personal sacrifices for their constituents. Yep, but when the R's do it, it means they lack integrity. When the D's do it, it's just good strategy. If the D's did this for legislation related to the wall, abortion, or LGBT issues, they'd be heralded as civil rights heroes of the 21st century. That's pretty much what it comes down to, or they could lower the minimum to 16/30 rather than 20/30, or they could just do what the U.S Senate does and presume there is a quorum even though there seldomly is - and the only way to challenge it is for someone to motion for a quorum call/absence of quorum. At the end of the day tho, it's like they say, "don't hate the player, hate the game."

If the "Illegals" were from Norway instead of "shithole countries" both you and Trump would be welcoming them. Ya right, I'm sure Ron wouldn't have a problem with a bunch of perceived socialist liberal atheists coming here in droves and illegally voting for democrats just because they're white.
-
I suppose that's just politics, I guess. You didn't hear the left calling Obama a xenophobe for suspending the Iraqi refugee program nor the family reunification program targeting Kenyans/Nigerians. They didn't call him xenophobic for telling the Latino community that if they send their child refugees here, we're just going to send them back.

Trump could suddenly become an AGW alarmist and they would become Type I Deniers overnight. I was reading some LBJ material on civil rights/poverty and I came across the following quote that reminded me of these posts: "If one morning I walked on top of the water across the Potomac River, the headline that afternoon would read President Can't Swim."
-
So if I were to take a climate change perspective to this, there isn't a decline, there has been a massive increase in the last 3 years presented. Damn, not fair. I've been waiting like a week hoping you'd slip up so I could use that one against you.
-
Oh ya, that's that place where a bunch of twits get together and misinform each other.
-
Bullshit Ya, way to blame someone else for YOUR mistake. You were the one that made the comment without any cited source/quotation, so just own it bro. Besides, it was so far off that anyone even remotely familiar or honestly interested in the subject/numbers would've immediately known it was bullshit without a correction. Either way tho, you're not alone when it comes to this apparent lack of perception:
-
Bullshit The gun homicide rate has dropped by about 50% since it's peak in the early 90s, so that doesn't really make any sense. But then again your statement was based on your bullshit stats above, so at least we've identified the disconnect.

Trump could suddenly become an AGW alarmist and they would become Type I Deniers overnight.

No, that would be silly. But it sure would be worth looking at childproof caps, and consumer education, and access controls for chemical storage, and excluding some of the more deadly chemicals from schools, and ensuring terrorists can't buy the sorts of chemicals that could poison an entire water supply, and/or limiting quantities of such chemicals. That way you still get the benefits of using the chemicals, just with fewer deaths. And you could do it all without banning assault lettuce, imagine that!

Well, because one has nothing to do with the other. See how you are? Because of the way it feels. Well at least now we know it has nothing to do with the way he feels about the kids.
-
Of course. That makes it okay. I get it. As long as you have killing machines to play with the dead kids are just someone else’s heartache. 70+ kids accidentally get killed with a gun and you want to get rid of guns. 700+ kids accidentally die from dangerous substances, so why not get rid of all those as well?
-
Hi John, Well done, sir; very, well done. Jerry Baumchen I think gowlerk should get the credit since I'm pretty sure that's what he was implying to begin with.
-
Would that stop the 2 yo from picking up the bottle and drinking himself to death? 100,000+ children are poisoned by dangerous substances within their reach every year, get rid of them all!
-
Well, there should be. That'll fix the problem!
-
Or, maybe people who can't handle dangerous toys should not have them. Yes, there are laws against consuming alcohol and using guns. We just need more!
-
There obviously needs to be more laws against pointing a loaded gun at someone and pulling the trigger. After all, states with more gun laws have less gun deaths. Maybe we need 5 more. Ya, 5 more laws against pointing a loaded gun at someone and pulling the trigger, that should teach them!
-
I don't care what you say, I ain't hiring no damn slowsky.
-
It was precisely ON point as a response to Turtlespeed's bitching about redefining words. You need to pay more attention. It's really no different than what I was doing in the other thread. Besides, there are different descriptors for a type of person, like baby, child, adult, and petty old man.
-
It's hard for me to see us ever going to those extremes, but you never know. What I do know is that many of our social programs are needed and I don't really have a problem balancing them with our capitalistic society.
-
There you go again with your Type I denialism - the data shows that you have 44 rep points!
-
How is it that you bitch at me for going off point, yet here you are doing the same thing. Does hypocrisy not apply to you?
