  1. You've read my mind again. I'd also add that this whole thing is just a bunch of theatrical bullshit. Alabama already has anti-abortion laws that it doesn't enforce. The new law basically changes abortion from a misdemeanor to a felony, but also explicitly protects women from criminal liability, so the whole interstate thing is just an invalid claim put forth by Alyssa Milano and parroted by the emotionally retarded. To be fair tho, the Georgia law unlike the Alabama law doesn't explicitly state that women are protected from criminal prosecution, but the language appears to be geared toward those that administer abortions, not those having an abortion. Georgia prosecutors said that they aren't eager to, nor plan on prosecuting women, but that the only way to be 100% safe is to not have an abortion. Also, contrary to rifleman's claims, the Alabama law doesn't seem to prohibit abortions for "lethal anomalies" if documented by two independent physicians. There also seems to be a provision for serious mental illness that could lead to the mother endangering her own life or the life of her unborn child. So this kind of seems like a loophole. "What, you want to abort your baby, you must be crazy! Ok, you qualify."
  2. The real world chances of parts of the law being eliminated sooner rather than later? Therefore the real world effects the law will have on real women? Therefore everything to do with everything this thread is about? I mean, for fucks sake man, how desperate for an argument are you? Didn't mean it that way. Wasn't looking for an argument. It's just that apparent to me that this law never had anything to do with the constitution in the first place. Edit: Perhaps it would've read differently if I said, "since when does that have to do with anything?"
  3. Right, so any subsequent effects of this law would also be unconstitutional, like enforcing it when a woman travels out of state for an abortion.
  4. Is that at all Constitutional? What does that have to do with anything?
  5. I don't know that. I still believe that if we all suddenly found ourselves in a real situation where migrants were on the verge of dying, you would help without thought of it's legality because you'd instinctively know it's the right thing to do. I'm also pretty sure that we can all agree with you that any law prohibiting that should be relaxed and that migrants shouldn't cross illegally.
  6. I know, sick. They could've at least warned them with a few spiked heads planted on the border. What's even more disgusting is the systematic channeling of migrants to their deaths that have been going on for the past 20+ years due to Clinton Admin border policy, with deaths peaking during the Obama Admin. Interesting how nobody seemed to give a shit until Trump became president. Do you think a wall would help funnel more migrants to official border crossings and decrease the amount of deaths on the US side? 1. The assholes below aren't enforcing the law, they're just being assholes 2. They deserve every ounce of blame they get Opinion - To Stop Border Crossings, the U.S. Made the Journey Deadlier - The New York Times_2.mp4 The possibility of getting 20 years for helping someone in an imminent life and death situation is not only evil, but worth a few colorful expletives. . .
  7. The difference is out of whose mouth the words came. Sure, Mr. Mueller wrote them in his report, but fewer than 1% of people actually read it. Media outlets reported these facts, but we know how the media has been criticized these past few years. The only official voice has been the AG, who has repeatedly lied about the findings in the report. Therefore, it needed to be heard in Mueller's own voice, making him the unequivocal source of the conclusion. There is no disputing that these are the findings, regardless of what Mr. Barr says (in fact, the contradictory and propagandizing statements by the AG now can be used as grounds for his impeachment, should Congress decide to hold him to conventional standards). He just did this hoping it would get the dems off his back about testifying.
  8. It's all a joke right? Like the headline "What the Actual Shit Was That?" - lol. . . .and he knows it, that's why he named the company Boring.
  9. No they don't. They can drag it out as long as possible and they will. And in the meantime all his supporters will keep shouting NO COLLUSION! NO OBSTRUNTION! Here we come 2020!
  10. Agreed. We have known Mueller found some pretty damning evidence on Trump for some time now. And I said earlier this month that they need to shit or get off the pot.
  11. That was in the original report, so nothing new. That was also made clear in the original report, so again, nothing new.
  12. Thanks Oh well, that was uneventful. . .
  13. Me? Stronger laws for America? I suppose you mean gun control. Overall America has crazy strong laws and prisons full of people, many of whom don't need to be there. But you know that. It's good to keep that it mind when talking about gun control. Wouldn't want the new crop of democrats repeating old mistakes.
  14. There's a joke about white supremacy for clean energy in there somewhere. . .
  15. Wouldn't matter if the bail out included a bankruptcy like the last one.
  16. To be fair, not too long ago I couldn't even tell boobie jokes without being called out for it as if I was some immature american that couldn't handle seeing a woman's breast in public. Since turtle came back, those same people seemed to have lightened up a bit and even had some decent zingers of their own. I may not typically agree with him, but I think it's safe to say that he's one of the more humorous people here, and in a good way.
  17. I laughed when I read the headlines, but the actual story kind of ruined it for me. It's like a movie with an epic trailer that ended up being a box office bomb. I'm sure it's good publicity for the park though. . .
  18. On the other side in Oscoda. Been there too in the beginning. Since then I typically don't play my entire bankroll at any one table. I must not be looking in the right places. Sorry to hear that. You still have downtown, it's just a nice little drive down Jefferson. It's been about 10-15 years since I've played down there. Most of the home games I've played were in the Brighton/Howell area, but I remember one home game off Trombly and 9 mile, so I guess that's not a very good sample size for your area.
  19. I agree it's more about skill when it comes to live games. You can find a lot of home games where you're at downstate, and then there's always downtown. I used to play at Greektown awhile ago, but since I've moved to northern michigan I've primarily been playing online. I like the convenience, but the frequency of crazy call bad beats is getting ridiculous and seems a bit more than just typical variance. I have to admit tho that I'm a sucker for hyper turbos - gotta stay away from those crap shoots. Also, not sure if you heard about the $5 Million Venom tourney in July, but it might be worth checking out.
  20. Good news! Skydekker is itching to burn 5k on bankruptcy bets. Maybe he'll give you some action.
  21. Plus the OP thread title doesn't really fit. Also, bold obnoxious fonts like that just irritate the piss out of me.
  22. No, the Ark theme park says so. It's their engineers who said they needed a proper retaining wall, and their engineers who said they needed better drainage. The insurance company is simply pointing out that the policy doesn't cover upgrades from it building it properly in the first place. Given the quoted text you posted earlier, I'm under the impression that these were engineers hired to repair the road and not necessarily those that designed the park. If there was nothing to suggest that this was a reasonably foreseeable possibility in the first place, then the park could've very well been built properly at that time. I could also see how the insurance co. can be partially liable for the loss, but not necessarily the upgrades. Also, were all the engineers jewish/christian and familiar with the cubitical system of measures? If not, then there are no guarantees.
