The flaw in logic, is that people are wasting money on stuff that is practically free... some things I can understand, but at an extra $50 an ounce for tax, I'd suspect more people would try growing their own....right next to the tomata plants. I have the ESPN Visa womens track and field competion on and I must say it's quite pleasant to play a nice friendly game of micro-limit poker on a Sunday afternoon while women run around in circles and povault through the air on the television in the background.... I don't know about you guys, but I'm get tired of watching a bunch of sweaty over-paid professional cry babies fighting over a ball.... Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...

When a man disrespcts a child's life like that, he deserves to be stripped, hung, and shot. I can't believe this shit. it is not acceptable for anyone to act like this. Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are... -

I think the promblem was with me having such a long post...They are difficult to respond to and they just don't seem to be efficient... The statement about the oppression of nuns was a general statement about how nuns from various orders are "recruited" and physically/emotionally treated, especially in other countries. Though I was vaguely familiar with this notion, I have to admit that I've put it on the back burner and it wasn't until I was preparing the reply to your post that I was reminded of it. I have much more to learn about the history of this mistreatment, but the references I gave address this, specifically in the book "A history of Mexico" by Henry Parkes. I understand the Catholic Church won't condone mistreatment of anyone, but I think they need to address how their infamous history of mistreatment came about. IMO, I think it is because they keep adding things that are unecessay and antithetical to scripture... Yes it is true, the Bible does not give us much on this subject, but the reason I can state with some confidence that Mary wasn't perfect (sinless) was because she basically admitted her guilt in the Magnificat. Luke 1:46-47 And Mary said, "My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.." If Mary was perfectly sinless, she would have had no need for a Savior which she clearly states. Mary was certainly blessed and it's ok to honor her, but I think that it has gone too far and She has replaced Christ to some extent. Thanks for the reply Chris.

Should scientific meeting organizers boycott Louisiana?

Creationism is not Science...end of story. There's really not much to teach about creation anyway...how hard is it...a first grader can understand it....off,on. When I create a visual effect in a composting program, there are a multitude of ways that effect could have been created...nobody could possibly know my process unless they observed it first hand. Again, creationism is not science...hello McFly, whoever you are. A true fundamentalist would understand that....who are these people? A better question for the matter at hand is, what kind of a science teacher would actually teach creation as science? We should be more concerned with real science teachers refusing to teach if they are forced to treat creation as science....skrew the conventions, we've got podcasts for those. I think the point is that it really hasn't hindered the progression of science... I might add....until Georgre Bush that is. (eh, I'm just getting my stabs in like everyone else.) Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...

I explained why the Jews would know why hatred was wrong according to the Bible....Jesus gives us a clearer understanding of that hatred and focuses on addressing the condition of the human heart. It's not just wrong to murder, it's also wrong to hate. It is hatred in the heart that leads to things like murder. People have not always had the biblical knowledge that we have now to help understand our spiritual condition. I don't know why God chose to work in dispensations instead of just giving us all knowledge at once, but studying those dispensations will give us a better understanding. People are pissed at God....They don't naturally agree with him. It's a process. I don't think that's gonna change. There doesn't seem to be many quick fixes...we don't like that. Ok...it's not the whole point. My statement was careless. I was trying to illustrate that many of us can agree that there are flaws with human character regardless if we believe in God or not....we have a choice to either deal with these flaws or not. Many chose to address the negative aspects of their own personal charater and we do this in many different ways, religious or not. It's a starting point. We have to realize there is a problem in order to address it. The Bible helps us to do that if you want the guidance it provides.... To obey them. I understand that a non-believer would view this differently than someone who believed. In any event, we can't even obey the ones that society believes should be accepted.... We only need to break one that we agree with to understand that we have a problem...how you deal with that is your choice. No, I never claimed that...I said that your rejection of the Bible might be because you don't understand it. Then you re-affirmed that you reject it because you believe that God doesn't exsist. That makes sense to me...I agreed with how you felt and said that I know you don't believe God exsists and that I can't convince you to believe by just hearing what I think about the Bible, especially when I have given no scripture in the last several post. I believe faith comes by hearing the Word of God, not what I have to say about it. I was trying to suggest that if you would perhaps read the Bible a little more you might gain a different understanding. Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...

yep...many things can become an idol...I think I already addressed the Pope and the worship of Mary earlier in the thread. What was ultimately the reason for the first murder in the Bible? Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...

It's related to dipensationalism...I look forward to studying it in-depth. No......go back through Gensis again, you'll find your answer.....you sure you read the Bible? Maybe you missed some stuff... I know I did. There is always something new to learn in that book, especially as one's perspective matures. Also, keep in mind that Biblical guidance is not limited to just 10 commandments... Actually...In all honesty I got that last line from you. Now that's funny. No, if I was suggesting that, I would have stated that. Obviously that knowledge would have to be revealed to you one way or another and then either accepted or rejected. If I was suggesting that and assumed that everybody knew that, I would obviously not have felt the need to clarify what I was talking about when I stated "We can all see the benefit in not lying(especially in court), cheating, stealing and murdering" A statement you conveniently left out. I should have been more clear.... Oh, I know you don't believe God exsits...I also know that Faith ultimately doesn't come by hearing what I have to say about it either. Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...

if you recognize the problem and try to change specific negative aspects, you limit the control it has in your life and it's negative consequences..... ok...ha ha I'm not here to judge your heart...I can't do that. It's up to you to deal with your faults....if you're not perfect, that is. I don't know what it is....I just though Hunga Bunga was funny...I think you got my point though. Yes, and I believe I'm a Christian...I believe the words of Christ...The New Testament is part of the context. The first four for the most part deal with God. The Bible assumes God's exsistence...It also says that it is evident within us...As you have already stated, you don't believe that...I can't make you believe. I assumed you answer would've ran along the lines of..."I told you a million times...God doesn't exsist." so...there's not much to talk about is there? Need I say more? Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...

At one point I realized that I was in the game wether I liked it or not....I also knew how to win (you just stated it)...I didn't like those rules either, I wanted to create my own rules...afterall who wants to win by humility? Humilty is a bitch...people may not respect you. The stupidity is pride. Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...
