Are you familiar with tedious process of Jewish textual transmission? Besides, one doesn't even have to read the whole of scripture to have spiritual life, and that which we have has been proven to work for us. Very familiar. The earliest MTs we have are from ~1000 CE and they have known errors in them. They are, however, much more consistent than the New Testament Manuscripts. Is the story of the woman caught in adultery authoritative (John 7:53-8:11 or thereabouts)? Is the longer ending of Mark authoritative (16:8-16). Neither one of the are in the oldest manuscripts. ...and nobody's trying to hide that...most bibles will note that. All that matters is that we have enough that works.
