  2. No big deal there. I weigh 175. Muff #5048
  3. And another thing. I really hate having the knowledge that part of what I'm paying for is going to pay the saleries of those fucking Jerry's Kids they call TSA agents!!! Fuck TSA. Fuck airports. Fuck Fuck Fuck!!!!!!! Sorry. Im done now. Muff #5048
  4. Understandable, but what I meant was when you go to buy the ticket you should know if your going to bring bags or not and if you are then you could just say that and voila included in the ticket. Not having to shell out more $$ after the fact. Thats all I'm saying. Muff #5048
  5. Not the oil companies fault (hope that doesnt send us to the SC). I would just prefere if the airline would include that cost in the DAMN FUCKING TICKET PRICE!!! I am so full of hate for transportation right now that I'm starting to look like this guy (see attachment). FUCK.......ASSS!!!!!!!! Muff #5048
  6. Just got this email regarding American Air. This shit pisses me off so fucking much I cant even see straight. Fuck airlines. Fuck AA. Fuck fuel prices. FFFUUUUUUUCCCCCKKKKKK!!!! And to think I'm going home on leave on the 30th. Now I find out I'm going to have to PAY MORE than I already have because of this stupid-ass bullshit. Team AFMC, American Airlines (AA) announced that starting 15 June 2008, they will start charging for checked baggage on all domestic flights as a result of record high fuel prices. The first piece of checked baggage will cost $15, any subsequent piece of checked baggage will cost $25, and all oversized baggage will be assessed a fee ranging from $5 to $50. However, per HQ AMC, the DOD’s official executive for passenger travel matters, the American Airlines’ Government representative has confirmed that the DoD has been given the following exemptions which should preclude travelers from encountering additional cost/inconveniences at ticketing and check-in counters. The exemptions apply to the following fares: a. GSA City Pair fares for Military and DoD travelers on Official orders b. Military members traveling on discounted leisure "military leave fares" provided by carriers. (Military personnel on leave alone are not exempt, but must be traveling using this specific type of fare, as opposed to a discounted fare from web, i.e. Orbitz, Expedia, etc) For clarification, exemptions to this policy do not apply to the following: a. Anyone traveling on a regular or discounted commercial fare b. Military personnel on leave alone are not exempt, but must be traveling using the specific "military leave fare" offered by the airlines, as opposed to a discounted fare from the web i.e. Orbitz, Expedia, etc Passengers are authorized "carry on" baggage that meet the dimensions of the template provided at the airport check-in and TSA ID check at no additional cost. Should someone clear security with oversized luggage they will be sent back to the ticket counter to check luggage and re-clear TSA Security. Gate agents do not handle monetary transactions and will not collect the bag fee. If the traveler was within size/number of pieces, boarded the plane, and needed to have a bag gate checked based on no space on the aircraft, there will be no charge, and the gate agent/flight attendant will courtesy check the bag. Due to the constantly changing travel environment, travelers should check with airlines before completing travel orders to assure adequate funding. Travelers are encouraged to obtain as much check-in information as possible from their airline prior to proceeding to the airport. Feel free to contact my staff in the Supply Chain Management Branch at DSN ******* if you have any additional questions. Muff #5048
  7. I try not to buy more then about 60-90 Miller Lite's at a time. Ive found the more we have the faster we drink it. And for the record IM NOT A MUCKING FORMAN. But my neighbors are actually mormom missionaries (have the Jesus picture on the outside of the door). Heres what happens when we buy a shitload of beer at one time. Muff #5048
  8. Thats cool. You should shoot me a PM when your coming down here and Ill meet you at the dz to discuss emergency procedure prepardness. But yeah water is one of those things that is a MUST wherever you go down here. The air is so dry and the sun zaps the moisture out of you before you know it. Example: While mt biking yesterday i drank 1 gal of water over the course of about 7 hrs and didnt have to pee once. On the ride home i started to get a headache and realized I was dehydrated!!! AFTER 1 GAL OF FUCKING WATER!!! Anyway, hydration and constant application of sun screen (i found the kind in the spray can is outstanding) and UT can be a pretty fun place outdoors. Its all about being prepared for those emergency situations! Muff #5048
  9. Well as far as O2 goes, theres a tube near the pilot seat for emergency prepardness type stuff, but I dont think theres any other suplemental O2 on the plane. Other than that, we usually go to 13k sometimes higher sometimes lower depending on the weather. If your lungs have difficulty with the altitude I would say do h&p's. I think the elevation at the airport is something like 4500' asl. The tunnel is ok but I just cant see blowing (pun intended) away money on simulated freefall with no canopy time. For my money I'd rather jump. Lagoon is fun if you have kids I guess. I went and rollercoasters just dont do it for me anymore. If you do go be sure you prepare by bringing your emergency sun lotion. 10. Ogden is my home dz. Sometimes I travel and go to mesquite or eloy but primarily ogden. I'm going to carolina sky sports sometime near the 4th of Jul. Oh yeah just so my post stays OT, emergency prepardness is good. Muff #5048
  11. Yeah I havent been to the tunnel in a while myself (and I only live 10min away). Why not go to skydive Ogden and get some jumps in while your here. Muff #5048
  12. You know I hear the mormons around here keep a stock of 2 yrs worth of food. How? Dont ask me. Just the volume of space required to keep that much grub would likely fill 1/2 of my appartment. But as for the emergency kit nah. I'm military and live less than a mile from the base so I can pretty much get what I need. Muff #5048
  13. Now when you sar "giver" do you mean in a "pitching" sort of way. Muff #5048
  14. Another suggestion I have is to visit several local bike shops. They have wonderfull cutomer service and can direct you in the right way in your decision making proccess. Also many if not all LBS will let you "try before you buy" for a very minimal fee (if any). As far as brakes are concerned you are better off going with full disc on both wheels IF YOU KNOW YOULL BE RIDING THE BRAKES A LOT. When it comes to walmart I cant tell you what to do, but realize you get what you pay for! My friend broke a walmart "downhill" bike just to prove they arent made for what they advertise (and yes he rides his actuall downhill bike the same way with no problems at all). Anyway, hope that helps you a little. BTW, heres the mountain I rode down this weekend. Muff #5048
  15. Quote* GOOD brakes -again, for that monster hill. Quote Good brakes you say? How about these!! But seriously I would die if I had to ride that thing up a hill (weighs 40+ lbs). Thats why I also ride a xc bike whenever I'm going to work or know the trail will be hilly. Also, there is no shame in walking the bike up parts of the hill and riding more and more and more untill your finally strong enough to conquer the whole thing all at once. Hope that helped and good luck. -Side note: Never buy anything that has pedals from a dept store such as walmart, kmart, target etc... They have nothing but crap and zero customer service in that department. Muff #5048
  16. Best reply Ive seen so far. Thats what I would do. Muff #5048
  17. You know its a good shift if your wasted before the Price is Right comes on. Muff #5048
  18. I did the exact same shift in AK. Kinna funny when go to the store and buy beer at 6:30am. People look at you like your an alki or something. Muff #5048
  19. I believe I'm in love with your avatar! Muff #5048
  20. I was actually afraid of this too as I ride my bike to work more than I drive my car. That means my car sits in my appt parking lot for up to 3 or 4 days at a time. Only thing I do for piece of mind is never put in more than about 1/4 tank that way if some jack-hole does decide to steal my gas they aint getting that much (about 4 gal max). On a more personal note, I wish they would make the people they catch stealing gas drink a few ounces of it as they have no problem sucking the fumes through a hose. Muff #5048
  21. I hear you. Insurance sucks. They MAKE you PAY for a product that you hope you'll never have to use(premium), then make you PAY again in order to actually use the product that you were hoping you didnt have to use (deductible), then make you PAY more after using the product just to keep it (raised rates). Insurance is a legalized scam. Hell, when ever Ive had a wreck before I would actually pay out of pocket for the damages, because it was cheaper in the long run than using my damn insurance!!! I consider insurance companies to be right at the same level as rapist and thiefs (because really thats what they are). Muff #5048
  22. So my friend gets to work on these things for the AF. All I can say is DAYUMMM!!! Mach 1 in 1100 ft. Thats a hell of a sexy missle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJ9tgSgx3PY Muff #5048
  23. There is no L6 there chief. That image shows some kind of something between the L5-S1 joint. You have 5 lumbar vertebre then a sacrum which is comprised of 4 fused vertebral bodies then a coccix (tail bone). Muff #5048
  24. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldnt the rsl still work as it was designed to in this configuration? What I mean is that the riser is still going to pull on the rsl regardless of routing and then wouldnt the bridal and ring end of the rsl simply pass through the big ring on the 3 ring allowing the main to seperate? I'm not saying I would jump it that way or would reccomend doing so, but I dont believe this would have caused 1 riser to not release on a mal thats all. Muff #5048
