  1. But its such a RAW deal that I figured anyone should be able to partake. Its almost as bad as saying "if you work my 12hr shift Ill work an hour of yours". Muff #5048
  2. This reminds me of something funny my friend did. He was on a 6hr flight and had the unlucky fate of sitting beside a fatt-ass. When said fat-ass asked him to "draw up a little" he responded with "how about you develop an eating dissorder". Muff #5048
  3. Point is if you ever came out this way I would buy you all the natty light you can handle as long as you extend the same kindness when I go to Switzerland. Muff #5048
  4. are you aware how expensive this could get!? just ask around, i had a hell of a week drinking behind me.. I would be willing to bet you would be trashed off of $20US or less of natty light. Thats like 42 beers (at least here on base). Muff #5048
  5. Or if you have ever heard "Surfin' Bird" by the Trashmen. Or in my case both. Muff #5048
  6. re-read the thread. It wasn't a three-way, making it even more of a potential situation than anyone actually thought. He knows he screwed up, he's taken responsibility for it here. He's welcome on my load any time. In fact, he'll be jumping with us in Sebastian next week. I3uller, the "kill zone" or "no-fly zone" is a cone that extends both above and below a skydiver or formation. HEY!!! He's in MY no-fly zone. Funny you using that picture though. Muff #5048
  7. Ill vouch for that. To the OP: I fly a Sabre2 170 loaded at 1.28 and absolutely love it. They do tend to want to dive more than the Silhouette's Ive jumped but it isn't unmanageable. I think you will be quite surprised (in a good way) with the plane out and flare. It comes in great both at full glide and in brakes. I took a downwinder with mine a couple of weeks ago and had to do nothing more than a light jog upon touchdown. Muff #5048
  8. What I find really funny is that AFAIR they were all made fun of in Hustler magazine. Muff #5048
  9. Fuck the season. Just give me a bottle of Talisker 10yr, a warm fire, and good company to share a drink with and I'm happy. Muff #5048
  10. This makes me fucking sick!!! I absolutely HATE how much more materialistic people get during the "silly season". If I want to get a gift for someone its going to be something they NEED not a 52"LCD tv that I have to buy TODAY to get for some sale price that it will wind up costing the same in a year anyway. I would much rather prefere just getting to spend time with the ones I care about rather than trying to impress them with what material items I can get them. Muff #5048
  11. The problem is that already exist and does nothing to deter criminals from getting their hands on guns illegaly who account for most gun related crimes/deaths. Muff #5048
  12. One could also say that as the % of households that own cars increases the rate of automobile related deaths increases. EDIT: Oh yeah here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_motor_vehicle_deaths_in_U.S._by_year Muff #5048
  13. I would be willing to bet they're packing some form of fully auto lead dispensing device under those goofy-ass sleeves. I wouldnt fuck with em'. Muff #5048
  14. I wouldn't say "encourage". I do believe, however, that some people using the saw would become compacent and maybe not pay as much attention as they would without the device. Same thing with AAD'd though. Look at those 2 guys that rode a HD to Cypres fire. Or how about the 4-way team that had a 4-way Cypres fire? How often did entire teams go in before the invention of an AAD? Like a said compacency is the killer. Not encouragement. Muff #5048
  15. With all those nasty handguns laying around, the crime rate in your house must be thru the roof! Strawman. The problem is ridiculously easy access by criminals and nutters, straw purchasers (criminals), and careless people who fail to secure their firearms against theft. I don't believe Jeanne falls into any of those categories. Please elaborate on how one does this with 100% certainty. If I go on vacation what's to keep a theif from breaking into my place and taking the time to break open my safe and STEAL my guns? i dont buy this argument one bit. If someone steals guns it won't matter how secured they were. People are still going to say how irresponsible the owner is for not securing them better. Muff #5048
  16. You may also want to ask someone (or better yet a few different people) to teach you how to pack parachutes. There are several different ways and the earlier you learn the better off you'll be. It can also help keep you in the air during tight financial times. Muff #5048
  17. Play paintball. Just try to win before the paintballs freeze. Muff #5048
  18. Would you happen to have a link to a site that sells those? I'm not even sure what they are called. I first thought ultralite but, that looks more like a hangglider with a motor. Muff #5048
  19. I thought a "flip through" was basically a step through done while the canopy is flying by doing a flip though the risers. I could be wrong. Hell, I dont even know if thats possible. Muff #5048
  20. It generally happens when someone doesn't pack their rig at the end of the day and just throws it in the car. Its possible for the rig to be flipped through the lines making the lines twisted 360deg in opposing directions. Its an easy fix too. Muff #5048
  21. Also, we can't carry more than 60 days past the end of the fiscal year (unless you're deployed then its 90). If you have 70 days then you better figure out a way to take at least ten of them before October or you'll be selling it back which sucks. Muff #5048
  22. Thats so cool. It looks like you're in Utah or somwhere close. I would love to figure out how to fly one of those things.....And, if I had the money and could buy another one, wear my rig and take a skydive out of it. Muff #5048
  23. I packed my buddy a stepthrough earlier this year. Oops. Definatly not my normal course of action, but it still happend. This is skydiving. You want to make damn sure you dont have a step through.....DONT SKYDIVE. pussy. Or pack your own gear and check it over and over until you're conviced that its right. Then if something goes horribly wrong there's only one person you can blame. Muff #5048
  24. Early Christianity was very communistic, the Book of Acts speaks of Christian communities living together and sharing what they owned in common. But that's not to be confused with 19th century Marxism either, or especially with 20th century Leninism, Stalinism, Maoism, or any of the other "wonderful" variations of Marx's theories. I suppose Jones was communistic. Also ran a very strong cult of personality, maybe like the North Koreans and their reverence for the bad haircut dude and his late father. You're fooling yourself. We're living in a dictatorship, A self-perpetuating autocracy. We're an anarcho-syndicalist commune, we take it in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week. But all the decision of that officer must be approved at a bi-weekly meeting by a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs. but a two-thirds majority for all other affairs. I just couldn't help myself!!! “Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government!” Muff #5048
