    Im not saying it is or should up to the government to decide. I believe that it should be up to the individual to make a responsible decision. Hell, if you can afford to have 50 kids then by all means go for it if thats what you want. I just dont agree with the fact that "I" should have to pay "MY" tax dollars to support someone who makes poor decisions. Muff #5048

    For you, cheapest place would be online. The Wiley X site list the base pair (non-perscription) for $115, but they are virtually bomb-proof. Now when you start throwing perscriptions into the equasion the price tends to rise over the $200 mark rather rapidy (mine cost $217.23) but its still very worth it IMHO.

    Thats right. Its time to buy new spec's. Mine were getting rather scratched (from my jumping goggles) and needed constant repair (tightening screws and what not). My jumping over-the-glasses goggles finally broke in Mesquite. So I purchased 2 new pair!!! First pair is a regular everyday around the office dress pair, but the second pair.....Well see attached. Yes they are perscription and yes I plan on using them as my new jumping goggles as well as everyday sunglasses (the band comes off and you can put the regular over-ear attachment on them). I love getting new stuff. Muff #5048

    FWIW, and I'm no rigger, my reserve pin looks identical to yours. My master rigger told me it would be perfectly ok to jump. We did a pull test and I believe it was right at 3-5lbs to pull the pin (Way lower than the max of 12lbs iirc). My advice would be take it to a senior or master rigger and ask them to look at it and maybe even do a pull test. You can also take that opportunity to learn how they do a pull test for little or no charge. My master rigger actually encourages his customers to watch him work on their gear so they have a better understanding of how it works and what goes into its maintenance. Anyway, food for thought.

But haven't got a clue what Clorox is - am I pissed off now? Dont bother with Clorox. Ive been doing a little research today and found that chlorine pool shock tablets work way better. Plus you get anywhere from a fireball to an explosion depending on the ammount used. If you decide to try this stand upwind of it and back a bit. Also make sure you dont do it in a populated area as one of the byproducts is chlorine gas which is lethal. Muff #5048

I hate to say it, but this looks like a case of there will only be peace when one or the other group is completely wiped out. Muff #5048
