Dude, seriously try doing what NWflyer said. Going cold turkey off of heavy narc doses like perc or oxy can really fuck you up. Get support if you have to. And be sure to eat your fiber (and if needed take laxitives). Narcs will seriously stop you up if arent carefull (happened to me after dental surgery).

For me I tend to get my adrenaline DH mt biking, and night skiing. I use to climb when I was younger, but I cant afford both climbing gear and skydiving and I refuse to free climb after the story my dad told me about taking an 80' fall. Muff #5048

Put camera stuff/misc stuff in the helmet. I used my helmet as a protective case for my DSLR when I did it. I put the camera in the helmet then lined every centmeter of free space in the helmet with socks and boxers. You have to get innovative. The helmet itself doesnt actually take up that much space. Check your airlines. Most allow you 1 carry-on and 1 personal bag the size of say a backpack. When I travelled to NC a couple weeks ago I didnt even have any checked bags. I put all my gear (including helmet) and clothing into a backpack and took my rig as a personal item. 2 carry-ons and no paying $15 fucking dollars to check a bag.

I think you and Skybytch are right on this. I would also be willing to wager that you would be more than happy if someone pointed out something wrong with say your gear. I also wouldn't have a problem with a guy who has 30 jumps asking me if something was wrong with my rig. Never hurts to be sure and what does it hurt to have a quick double check and maybe even a little education? Noone is above safety. Even the guy with 10,000 jumps under his belt. The jumpers with higher experience that believe this are the ones that I have come to respect the most in this sport. Muff #5048

That happens more than you would know......err or so I hear. I hear that planes frequently break down in HI or Spain. Sometimes it takes weeks for replacement parts to be sent in leaving the poor pilots and crew stranded at exotic locations for extended periods of time. Like I said though this is nothing more than hearsay. Muff #5048

well, hell if your looking at selling it in a few months, i might just buy it and keep it in my closet untill i feel ready to jump it Might be on the menu, but I'm trying to get 2 rigs. If you need something to get you in the air I have no problem loaning it to you, but Im not sure I want to part with the S2 yet. I will tell you it is a sweet canopy with plenty of flare. And if it is somethig you need to get in the air then I guess I could sell it. I have always been of the opinion that if you can help out another skydiver in need then you should. So if you need a rig then I may be able to help you out. see, im the same way! hopefully i wont need the whole rig, just the main canopy... im looking at buying the rest new. and if you dont want to part with it yet, thats fine, but im going to be looking really deep into getting one here in about 6 months... so, if you decide by then you want to get rid of it, let me know! Oh no problem. If you want to use my main I have no problem loaning to you. I'm in a position now where Im looking for a 150, but if that isnt possible I want to hang on to my S2 170.
