Holy hell. I've lived in some pretty cold places, but that's just obscene. Puts a little perspective on my bitching that my seat heater quit while it was below 60F last week. It's obscene for at least 2 months a year. And then it's just cold. for another few months. Glad MY seat heater is working fine and dandy! As long as the Jeep STARTS tomorrow. Whatever ... I always have wine.

Or a flash drive to plug into one. Did you guys go through that crap too? so you're the reason we cant use flash drives anymore!! sad, but true... no more flash drives on army networks, may go as high as all military Wasnt me I'm afraid. I know jack shit about computers (except how to look up good free porn, but not on a DOD PC). Muff #5048

Actually, Ive had a case rupture twice on milsurp 7.62x54r. Nothing major. Just a big poof of smoke from the breech. ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION!!! I wear glasses anyway and nothing was wrong with them or my face at all. If you do ever have a case rupture (on any ammo with any gun for that matter) Stop using the gun until the breech can be evaluated by a competent gunsmith for cracks. In my case the breech was fine both times. Muff #5048

I have 2 of them. A 91/30 and a M44 (tanker model). The surplus ammo is pretty cheap and shoots ok, but you have to be sure and clean the shit out of them as soon as you get home (or sooner) as most mil-surp ammo is very corrosive to the bore. If you spend a little more on the ammo and get the good stuff (or even hand-load for that matter) you will be pretty surprised at the accuracy you can get out of those things. Me and my brother use them to go hunting as well. Its a great rifle to hunt with because it doesnt much matter if it falls out of a tree stand or in a river or even if you run over it with your car. They're only $90 bucks. Just be sure when buying one that you check out the bore and make sure it isnt pitted. Most of them that you can get are actually still soaked in cosmoline and have never even been fired before. Just make double sure you clean all that crap out of it before you take it to the range. All in all, I would reccomend these rifles to anyone looking for a fun plinker or a cheap hunting rifle. Muff #5048

House is a big hit in our home. Our oldest daughter got us hooked on it the first season. Kind of a Sherlock Holmes story of sorts, only medical. Vskydiver likes it because they talk about lupus a lot. Lupus and MERSA, which it never ends up being. Great show though. Those of us that actually work in the medical field only wish we could act like him at times (some patients are just so damn ignorant....Docs too). Muff #5048

My hat is off to you. I work in a hospital and deal with sick kids every now and then, but you work with kids who will likely die in your care. I dont think I could ever do that and have nothing but respect for those that do. Ill probably volunteer some time (if the military allows) at the kid clinic in McKay Dee. Muff #5048

Get audibles. Takes paying attention to your altimeter totally out of the equasion. Ok so that was a bit of a joke. It is my firm belief that you SHOULD have at least 1 visual alti and if you're doing any kind of bigways or ffing you SHOULD (not have to, but should) have an audible. I know many ffers who jump with 2 audibles. On the same hand I know people who jump with 1 audible and nothing else for an alti. Guess all I'm saying is Ive been jumping audibles nearly my entire skydiving life (however short that is) and have never gone low while using an audible. Muff #5048

Skydive Utah down in Tooela is a fantastic dz. I work on Hill AFB and SU is only 45min from here. EDIT: Skydive Ogden is only 15min from here. FWIW I live in Layton and find it to be a great community. I have friends that live in Clearfield, Centerville, and Roy and are all nice places to live as well. Muff #5048
