I don't remember anybody getting frost bit, but I'll bet that happened. I remember a couple jumps when it was almost down to zero, Fahrenheit. That added up to quite a chill factor. Hi SM Thats part of the problem with USPA and their GM program. USPA wasn't always like this. If the DZ wants to get paid extra for filling out the paperwork then they souldn't be a USPAGM. I'm sure your aware that some S&TA are either DZO's or their employee's But USPA was taken over by the DZO's a long time ago, they stole the brand, and use it as part of their marketing program. That horse left the barn a long time ago. Bring on the tandems and AFF, become a liscensed jumper, rent our gear etc. You think you understand but you really don't. I haven't tried jumping without my glasses, but I can tell you that the wind sock is just a blob when looking at it through my bifocals anywhere from 1000 to 4000 feet away. It gets really exciting to land downwind with even a little wind! Try landing off the DZ trying to guess where the pwr lines are, Fences line's etc. They don't always follow the roads.

Sounds like a bunch of drunks on the way home after the bar/party.
