Damn It might have something to do with the airport construcing a building on one end of the landing area I only live 30 mi away from Bremerton Maybe if I stop by this week and tell Dave I'll stop coming by if he'll change his mind about closing. the new bldg won't seem so bad. The Blue skies DZ reminded me of a old time cessna DZ in the midwest with a all the good vibes, All the modern conveniences were just iceing on the cake. R.I.P.

Like the Nova canopy. The more exprienced (older) we get we see hstory repeating itself. If it's not the gear, it's the folks flying the stuff. Old fart joke: Who says skydivers are stupid we invented a whole new way to kill ourselves Hook turns. WAG: I think people trying to do hook turns (not swooping) was responsiable for more death's over the years than trying out the latest and greatest canopies.

I'm not bitching, someone asked me why I didn't go up there. I do like going up to the tunnel, which isn't too far away from the mentioned DZ. "Back in the day" we did a four way where everyone got hurt on landing due to the high winds. (serious backing up under round canopies) Everyone on the load got hurt After our buddy got out of the hospital we all got together and talked it over. We found out after the fact No one wanted to make the jump But no one wanted to be the first one to say no. If you Don't jump under marginal conditions you won't get hurt and will be able to jump another day. Get hurt it might take a while before your next jump. R.I.P. r

Don't sweat the small stuff as long as you can find someone else to jump with screw the skysnob There's fun jumping and then there's serious crap (8 different pt four way competition stuff) Back in the day we asked the LO to get on their load.

Lesson Learned treat your gear like you'd treat your children Why the hell would you leave you gear in a hot car any longer than necessary. Beside the danger of of damage to your gear there's also car prowlers/thieves. Take care of your baby.
