Now, does anyone know how to get the yellow stain out of vinyl floors that is caused by the rubber backing on throw rugs?*** Have u tried some sort of solvent, petrol, thinners etc,If that dosn't work u can always add a match to it. WARNING!!!!!!!DOING THIS MAY REMOVE THE APPARTMENT! .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Yup!Bars empty, must all be attending AA. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Nope....thats a VERY EXPENSIVE afternoon of entertainment.*** I new it! Still a virgin, but at least i've got (S)expensive taste! .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

What about dressing up in a 'PVC' suit zips, buckles, blindfolds, gags etc etc. And being whipped s*!tless and then locked in a box! Is that 'sex'? .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Used 'urgent recovery'once, never wanna use it again[unless i have to]. My interpretation of 'urgent recovery'is,bury everything[toggles]get a canopy over you head now scenario. The CI didn't say anything,he didn't have to ,i knew i'd been spoken to! .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

I'm not going to even try and defend Icarus's PR dept! I can quite under how frustrated you must fill. Howevever, when i wanted to demo one,i was fortunate to be jumping at a DZ where an authorised dealer was based with 'rare'demo canopies.. So don't give up your quest, the CF2 is truly a fantastic canopy and as a result of the demo i've ended up jumping one and the're ace... .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Only time will tell!Quess well have to wait for some decent reviews of the thing ,hopefully in the coming months from u guys stateside..... I would like to add that after a conversation with a PD employee about the canopy,i concluded that it's going to fly v.similar to a cf2. Can't wait to find out!!! .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

wing loading at higher altitudes??
trigger replied to newbian's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Don't know if there is a 'calculation' for your question.[probably, almost definately]. But in general your landings will be sugnificately 'faster' to what degree in respect to a 'Low' Level DZ and 'Wingload' i don't know! .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER. -
Don't quote me ! But i believe the 'SUNNTO' brand was never branded for skydiving......i know several fellow jumpers that use them in preference to conventional altimeters though. Do a search on there website, could be wrong! .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

After much deliberation i for would ask for everything and expect nothing to avoid disappointment when talking to the the manufactures helpline! Hope this helps. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Good skills!Sounds like you're taking a responsible attitude towards canopy flight/control early on which is excellent. What you described in your post in regards to practice is also good but when practicing new monuveres have a cut off height in which you stop experimenting and return to less aggressive flight[in regards to riser and toggle input]also and more importantly,be aware of other canopies at ALL times and land alone. I'm sure the canopy control course will be a credit to you and you'll learn alot about canopy flight progression. Just one question i'm curious the canopies you mention i.e wingloads. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Jump No36 Log book entry reads"Oh shit!problem good canopy but can't get at the toggles cos the risers are twisted[probably due to a bag rotation].Decisions, decisions(i hate f!*king decisions)i used to be indecisive but i'm not sure anymore)f!*k it,cutaway, deploy reserve 3000' nice everything! Thats what it says,approx550 non reserve rides since! .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Please don't quote me this as it could well be one of lifes urban myths! But i heard that in Perris you can jump the VX46 cut it away and land with a more 'conventional'canopy, tetenary rig supplied of course. I'm english so maybe one of our friends in the states can confirm or deny this. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

I would also be interested in crosscountry canopy flight and where i could participate in such an activity, but more specifically in the sunny UK. Problems i see are with air traffic control though. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Didn't say you were a bad canopy pilot, but reading between the lines the accuracy trick is IMO a fundermental skill and applies to all[could be wrong here] canopies,safire/sabre anyway. Your absolutely right on the demo front though and no time was i trying to imply that you should 'know'a canopy and how it flies after just one jump. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Are you saying a Sabre II / Safire II loaded at 1.4 on 500 jumps is a bit too advanced? Rgds Phil*** I accept that i can't honestly answer that question as i havn't seen you fly/land your present wing. Hence the have a chat with Andy spill. But with me reading between the lines i prefer to err on the side of caution regarding desired wing loads. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

My point is regarding jump numbers and canopy selection is! Example jumper No1Say has 1000+ jumps has say been jumping the same canopy say since jump No50,has never asked advice on canopy control and is generally seen as a non aggressive pilot. Example jumper No2Lucky guy as taken canopy control advice since jump No say 50.Always exits the aircraft with a flight plan of a canopy control exercise that he wishes to practice and does so until he is extremely competent at that skill he now has say 500 jumps. Question is who is "ready"/more capable of flying a high performance wing safely.No1 or No2. Point being just because someone has 'X' jump numbers dosn't mean that their ready.. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

------------------------------------------------------------------------Quote ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Though the Safire & the Sabre,i believe are very good choices though not at 1.4+ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Could you expand on this please? Going back to my reading between the lines and canopy control spill! At this loading i think you'll find things happen rather quickly and if you make a mistake low to the ground that mistake could prove to be extremely unforgiving! ------------------------------------------------------------------------Quote ------------------------------------------------------------------------ i would recommend that you keep your exe as i think you'll find that in time you can get alot more from this canopy ------------------------------------------------------------------------ You are probably right... I could wring a bit more out of it... but I have already swapped it for a Hurricane 150 Too late Stick with it,i'm sure you're well aware of the differences. DO/ATTEND THAT CANOPY CONTROL COURSE ASAP! If you're in Spain[Empuria] there's a course you can attend there.I've heard it's V.good. Alternatively contact Tim Carter at Hibblestow as he has a canopy control school there. RESPECT THE HURRICANE. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

>>Are cypres-equipped skydivers more altitude aware?? (not >>humming it as low as they were years ago.) >I think the answer is definitely yes. *** I think your probably right. However i witnessed my first ever Cypres save/fire at the Espace boogie[Vichy/france] this year, where following a pilot chute in tow/baglock malfunction, the jumper failed to initiate any emergency procedures [WTF] hence the Cypres save. I would like to add,the jumper in question allegedly had 1700+ skydives. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

I was thinking Sabre II 135 or Safire II 129/139 or even a Crossfire II 129. I would be loading the Crossfire at 1.5 - which would be about right I guess for 500 jumps.*** I would like to add that canopy selection is NOT a jump number thing! .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
