A more polite expression is "Tango-uniform". *** No its not, only the rossers[filth]and squaddies use phonetics. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Yeah! It's a good try,but it dosn't include any regional slang.you know 'Tasty' words like WAZ,WAZZER,CHAVY,GEEZER BIRD etc. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Around here we say "As useless as tits on a frog" *** That's about as much use as a pork chop in a synagogue .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

I'm BRITISH best of! Going/Gone tits up/Going/Gone pear shaped mean the same thing as you pointed out Going/Gone wrong. Our language is packed with slang!! For example to the above you could also say It's gone belly up/turned to rat shit etc generally considerred more polite than simply saying IT'S FUCKED! In the US i believe the word Fag for example means Queer/Gay/Shirt lifter etc, where here in blighty it slang for cigarette/ciggy etc.. One more, you say pissed meaning annoyed, upset etc we do also but it can also mean drunk depending on what context is used....i.e It was pissing down last night=raining hard.....Fuck i was pissed last night=I was drunk......Now you're beginning to piss me off=I'm getting upset so i'm going down to the frog&toad to the rubber tub to get pissed & smoke a fag. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

High wingload/Low Jumps at your DZ (over 1.7)
trigger replied to base698's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
I couldn't agree more!As you say there's a big difference between landing these canopies and actually being able to fly them...I've seen people who have in excess of 1000jumps that consistently pull no more than a 45 to final..Why!!!!! because [A] The're scared...these things are fast... [B] This is likely because they never truly learn't to handle the're previous canopy...... Just my 2pence .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER. -

Initiating high performance landing with toggles?
trigger replied to Hazarrd's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
What jumperconway is saying is right.i.e master slow flight techniques first esp flat turns, flare turns etc.Ideally you want the"Swoop" survival skills well honed before you actually contemplate "Swooping" .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER. -
Initiating high performance landing with toggles?
trigger replied to Hazarrd's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Generally, initiating a turn to final with toggles as opposed to front risers is considerred a No No! Should you find yourself in the corner, you'll need the toggles to'dig yourself out' V.hard for m e to explain what happens to a canopy[or so i'vr been told]after a toggle turn has been initiated, but it goes something like, you initially lose some of that all important flare power[should you need it]. I strongly suggest that as i suspect this is your first foray into swooping, you find yourself a mentor and preferably attend a course. Bottom line "Front risers are the way to go" .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER. -
I have approximately 150+ unlogged jumpsI've keep the invoices/spent tickets as proof [Thank god] Story is i jumped at anew DZ a few wks ago and CCI quite rightly asked to see my logbook. On opening it he had cause to question my currency etc. Moral is to avoid a repeat i now log my jumps. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Hi,i put a little over 300jumps on a chuteshop SA ZP150 @1.4.[V. Similar if not the same as the EXE] 1.Packs very easily like F111. 2.Quite reponsive to toggles, more so than a simiarly loaded Safire. 3.More ground hungry @ full drive.RE:Safire. 4.V.Short recovery arc. 5.Flare is progressive but nowhere near as powerful as a Safire. 6.To summerise,i enjoyed this canopy alot and it taught me alot!Somepeople have said this canopy is a SA"COPY"of a Sabre but ican't comment as i've never jumped a Sabre. However [re.safire comparison]overall i found the Safire to be more modern superior design to my'ZP'purely for things like glide and flare power. N.B.Sorry about the comparison with the Safire, but it's the only other canopy ive jumped thats in the same CLASS. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Making canopy training more accessible?
trigger replied to trigger's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Yeah me too! Also i like explainly the importance of 'Mastering'slow flight first and that 'Any' canopy can be 'swooped'if so desired[not everyone wants to swoop] and pointing people in the direction of canopy control courses etc. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER. -
Known quantity'CCI', ST&A,Recognised canopy cantrol coach. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Crossfire-2 To be delieverred tomorrow

I think Rhino means parsely push the nose into the pack job. I stand to be corrected. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER. -
Why not! proof preferably signed that a jumper has the relevent skills required/needed to'SAFELY' handle 'X'type of wing. NOTE:There can always be a disclaimer attached because as we all know you can still have an accident even if you have got 25,000+jumps in this sport. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.

Making canopy training more accessible?
trigger replied to trigger's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
After reading"mostly" the 'Blacklist' thread something that cropped up 'alot'. The need for canopy control training/courses i.e TRAINING IS THE KEY. Question is!How can we make sure, we as skydivers, not just 'Newbies' either, recieve suitable canopy training in which to progress and base our future canopy selections on? .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER. -
Training is the key! Couldn't dealers ask for some sort of "proof" in which to gauge whever a canopy is suitable or not for"X"customer. Edited to add.Joined this thread late so appollogising if the above suggestion has already been discussed.

In that case Aggies right, the more you pack the quicker/better you'll get. There is a trick thats been mentioned before though, with regards to "bagging" the canopy.Do the last fold first, bag it and then'S'fold the first fold into the D bag. I know my description isn't too concise, but i find the above method of bagging the canopy alot easier and therefore quicker. Hope i been of some help/use. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
