If you went to the gym, then you worked out too much. Seriously though, ongoing pain and muscle soreness was once thought to be just part of it, and if it didn't hurt, then you weren' doing it right. That theory has been widely disproven. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver

QuoteIs it just me or does that live leak video look fake? It looks like video of cats tied on the trebble hooks, and then fishing footage. If it is real that is disgusting, but it looks like it could also be a video that was edited to look that way. *** I'm with you. There was no kitty fishing going on there. They make terrble bait anyway, I prefer hamsters, they're meatier. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver

QuoteFor anyone that uses the term "newbie" in a derogatory manner, tell them, and I quote, "Fuck off, skygod." They won't get the irony but you'll get your point across. ***"Newbie" used in a derogatory manner is usually by jumpers with barely enough logbook pages to wipe thier butts, usually to make them feel good about themselves. Nothing wrong with being a newbie. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver

QuoteToo funny considering you're suggesting violence. Assaulting someone to teach them a lesson or for revenge is a bad idea and will only serve to further escalate the problem. Defending oneself is a completely different story. *** I think we're all overlooking the warm hug/I love you man method. There's almost nothing a violent, beligerant drunk appreciates more than genuine affection. When he sobers up, everything will be alright and he'll never do it again. Quotehum it with me "....don't drink, don't cuss, what do you do...?" *** I drink and cuss. I just pay attention to when and where, and I quit drinking to get drunk years ago. If getting drunk is what makes you happy, go for it. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver

QuoteIt's not sad. There should be places ADULTS can go and be as ADULT as they care to be. I don’t expect others to change their behavior to accommodate MY child. I don't expect them to change thier lifestyle for my child either, but watching your language around children is not an unreasonable request. If a person can't put a sentence together without the word "fuck" in it, then they probably shouldn't leave the house. Alot of adults (including customers)don't appreciate that kind of language/attitude either. Should we ask them to stay home so that a few can revel in thier "adult playground"? We have several dogs at my DZ and don't have issues. Can't say the same about some of the obnoxious jumpers that think it is thier God given right to spew obscenities all day long like it's the queens english and then complain about noisy children. Personally, I question the character of anyone that doesn't like dogs or children. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver -

QuoteI love animals, especially dogs, but if they can't behave properly around people then they need to be put down. ***What if you applied the same standard to skydivers? John Wright World's most beloved skydiver -
QuoteOk thanks . My post is really on the money side of this. Some people feel that if I as a coach wear my camera on those jumps its taking money out of their pockets. I feel if the student wants a video of the jump that's fine they can pay for it from the out side. But I like using the video in the debrief and they think if the student doesn't pay then I shouldn't wear it. Its not like im cutting them a DVD or anything. Just using it for the debrief. I caught shit for it. The fact that someone buys a camera does'nt automatically entitle them to videoman money. If they don't like the arrangement, they can get an instructional rating. I personally prefer to have a rating holder flying video anyway. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
