  1. QuoteThat is a pretty high condom/person rate. I bet they've got more drama down there than your average dropzone. ***I bought a gross of condoms last Friday at the drugstore, but when I got home, there were only 11 dozen in the box. Ruined my whole weekend. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
  2. If I could play scratch golf, I'd never jump again. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
  3. Some people make donations because they want to be charitable, not just so they can write it off on thier taxes. Happens every day. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
  4. rI agree.. Thats how it should be.. This has been discussed before and I will say it again. In reality most new A licence jumpers in US dont know how to pack.. The only reason for that is no one ever taught them. *** I don't know about "most" new A license holders, but I definately see many that don't. Doesn't happen at my DZ though. 5. QuoteSo what would be the appropriate derogatory term for the men (I use the term loosely) who are jumping her? There are plenty of slutty male skydivers and wannabes, but they don't seem to generate the outrage the girls do. *** There is no derogatotry term for males. It is perfectly acceptable, and part of God's plan. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
  6. Learning to pack should be part of your student progression, you should'nt have to pay extra for it. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
  7. Why don't you get packing instruction from your instructors? John Wright World's most beloved skydiver

  9. QuoteI mean - I don't wakeboard anymore because filling my dad's boat up with gas went from $50 to $125 for just above an hour's entertainment, *** Must be a helluva boat to burn $125 worth of gas in an hr. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver

  12. People shouldn't be allowed to skydive either. What a frivolous waste of fuel. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver

  14. yes...please inform us boogie virgins how to act. *** My best advice to you is to make yourself available. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver

  16. I'd say fling in breaks by the deflected tail... *** Yeah, I'm with you on this one. That canopy isn't at full flight. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
  17. You must have dreamed it, (eeeewwwww) I'm a heterophile guy and I'd remember if I had ever dated a girl named John. QuoteSorry, I saw the named and just assumed... ewwwww! I hereby make a full retraction. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
  18. I would lay on the floor in front of the TV, with my head closest to the TV and my feet farthest away. I would bend my lower legs so that the BOTTOM of my feet were pointing at the ceiling. (about 90 degrees) I would put my arms out to my sides and bend my elbows so that my thumbs were even with my ears.(about 90 degrees) *** I think I used to date you, or maybe I dreamed it. Seriously though, just stretch a little first. You don't need much of an arch to make yourself stable. Good luck! John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
  19. I have abused my Neptune and it still works. I abused an analog one, and it broke and gave me the wrong altitude. If a student/younger jumper is spending money, might as well spend it on good equipment that will last a long time... *** On the other hand, I've jumped the same Altmaster since 1991 and it was a few years old then, never had a problem with it. What I like about analog is that if you can tell time, you can read your altitude at a glance. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
  20. Oh, sorry, then, it's fucking hilarious. *** Now you're gettin it. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
  21. QuoteI did hear that all campers had to be removed from the DZ. Campers are allowed on the weekends but they can't be left there anymore. Truth??? *** The city did say that all the "permanent" campers had to be removed. I believe campers are allowed for 3 days at a time now. They just don't want a ghetto I suppose, but come out and camp all you want. As a matter of fact, people are often allowed to crash inside as long as a staff member is there. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
  22. So, you got no reply, therefore there was no camping. Maybe the tents and campers should have given you a clue. How did you come to the conclusion that there were no showers? Not only does Palatka have showers, but they are much nicer (and cleaner) than facilities you'ld normally find on a DZ. I'm glad you found the landing area though. They do have a landing area don't they? John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
  23. QuoteA book about studies of dog intelligence that came out a couple years ago rate the Border Collie #1, and IIRC the standard poodle was 2 or 3. However I have seen Border Collie breeders recommend against buying them as pets, due to the instinct to herd. For example they may try to herd the family cats, and the cats won't appreciate that. ***The best dog I ever had was a border collie. You couldn't throw a frisbee too far for him to run down, and yes he herded everything that moved, especially children, it was hilarious. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
  24. Congrats! Hey my "friend" says it burns when he pees. What should he do? John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
  25. You never went to Palatka, if you did you would know that there is both camping and showers. It is a fun place though. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
