I did my first jump in 8/97 with a group of 4 people via AFF. -Meg left then came back then left again but I think she may come back again. She still has her gear. -Laura quit after level 4, too broke never came back. -Jaime went at it pretty good for 5 years then quit. Then there were a couple other close people that started jumping around the same time that still Jump and there were my mentors too at the time and a few of them still jump. There are some folks that quit, some that died but all of them will always be skydivers. Me? I'm still jumping but not nearly as committed as I used to be. Couple tandems and AFF here and there, local boogies and looking like I might pick up the pace in Davis this summer with the little RW explosion they are promoting. I was always told 10 years and your no longer a tourist. I'm in my 9th year and I'm gonna shed that tourist label fo sure! I made some of my best friends at the DZ over the years and those that have quit are still phenominal friends. I am over pressuring and pushing people to jump. I do it for myself at my own pace these days. Heck after 9 years I am finally assembling my very first custom bought for me rig I think I am in it forever. Blues!

When the Dodgers are in town I boo and I boo hard 'nough said but that is an exception. Booing should not be part of any non college or non pro league. It's low class and innapropriate.

It's cold The ride is too long I always get snotted on I'm a human amusement ride I might get puked on .... Just kidding, I love doing tandems! It's one of the two or three ways I can get that first jump feeling other than AFF or coaching. Skydiving saved my life many years ago and I want as many people to get their money's worth just as I did. I think some tandem masters get grumpy because their DZO's are tough or suck the fun out of it for them and there are other reasons too I am sure. But yup if you don't like it stop.

Veeerrry pasionate about hockey then Canadians We agree to root for each others teams as long as they do not play each other. So me i root for the sharks and wish well for the Canucks as long as they don't get in our way ...

Nice to see the new generation still carrying the BS stirred up by 2 generations of jumpers ago... I have worked and jumped at both DZ's. Any hate I might occasionally feel comes from watching the fog sitting over the landing area or some long ass boring van ride. Other than that it's all about love... Break the chain, jump em all!!
