I should hope eclairs get more respect than doughnuts, they cost more and therefore should be treated better

Ther is a great little camp ground I've camped at over the years in Perris Valley, CA. There's a little pool about a 5 minute walk away and you can hear otters playing all day! I don't know So Cal well but I did go to college in Santa Barabara and I remember camping at some pretty awesome and amazing places in the mountains behind Santa Barbara. I'm certain there's some good camping along the coast immediately north and south of Santa Barbara too. But once you get north of SB you aint really So. cal anymore to my opinion. Pismo is fun and Big Sur is magical.

Happy Birthday Lisa! Hope you get to go enjoy today!! -Seb

Well, it is a valid point I think

I think packing is a waste of time or even learning to pack for that matter. One could be drinking a beer while some else packs for them, then the bad opening wont hurt so bad cause you'll be buzzzed. I am sofaking kidding, I think...

I had scripture, hockey and dr. seuss in my vows Allez les Canadiens!

Someone once told me that free beer was their favorite beer. That saying has stuck with me ever since and I am no longer snobby about beer anymore. But I got a hankering right now for something specific...

To be fair there is a time and place for every type of beer. That's why beer is so great and should be revered by all. There is even a time and place for a Bud. Now back to my original request, can someone from Canada drive me down some beer tonight? You can make it from Vancouver to the Bay Area in 15 hours if you go non stop...

They are all Canadian brews I mentioned. Buuuuut you're wrong about them American beers too. There are several exceptional micro brews over here on the better side er left side of the country

Up-Sizing, Could use some advice...

Good question, when I get home this evening I will pull out the invoice. What would be an equal size for non x-braced canopy vs. a 98 Xaos for pack size? -
Up-Sizing, Could use some advice...
Sebazz1 replied to Sebazz1's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I have a Wings EXT that was sized for my Xaos 98. It fits snugly but without too much effort in the d-bag. At the time I bought the rig I was jumping like a mofo and super current but as life moves on I jump less n less and only on special occasions. Mostly doing ways with buddies at boogies. I have been pondering replacing the Xaos 98 with something a little bigger, a little more docile and not x-braced. I think a Katana might be just the right canopy, maybe a 120-135. Any advice on what to replace the Xaos with and what size? Am I kidding myself? Once you go xbraced you'll never go back? Don't get me wrong I love my Xaos and it's replaced my old Stiletto's as my favorite all time canopy but I think it's time to slow down. Thanks for any ideas... -
I was huge into outdoor gear (clothes, tents, water filters, shoes, packs, camping stoves misc. outdoor gear) before I started jumping and I still have most of my gear. I worked at a North face outlet for 1 year just before I started jumping. I keep all my old gear in pretty good shape and I pick up new items occasionally. Red Dawn had a huge affect on me growing up and I see myself living in the wild fighting Russians or Canadians some day Can never be too prepared I love watching water droplets unable to pierce my outer gore layer as I sit completely dry, body breathing, yet the skies are spitting wind and rain at me to no avail... I think my 3 hole punch just got jealous!

Dave, that is a seriously excellent three hole punch. We have a similair one in our document center. I think it was Bill V that said waaaaaay earlier in the thread, that world problems aside, people really don't realize the huge importance of well perforated sheets of paper that are properly aligned. I still have my hole punch and I use it every day at least once. Of all my office tools, pens, clips, post-it's you name it... I have a bond with my 3 hole punch. It even has this little hitch that takes experience to properly execute the punching down that only I know of becuase of my knowledge and ability to use it / touch it just right. 9 years now as a corporate paralegal and no-else's minute books are as sweet and organized as mine are ... Much love and three hole respect... Seb
