I will admit that I have talked behing students backs to other instructors or the DZO, but the rule is that you must be as positive as possible whenever your are around the student. It should take way more than just 5 jumps before OSB.. OSB = Other Sports Beckon..........lol.........

Having twenty jumpers ready to go and the there's no pilot........ Boarding the plane ready to rock n roll and one of the glow plugs is burned out and it's gonna take a half hour to change it......... When the weather man says it's gonna rain and it doesn't..... When the weather man says it's not gonna rain and it does........ People riding my bumper in rush hour traffic........WTF!....It's not like we're goin anywhere fast, back off! My DZ offers $1 for every pound a student is over 200lbs. Our limit for taking someone all the way to altitude is 240lbs. Give or take a few depending on the tandem instructor. Anything over 240ish it's an exit at about 7,000' and deployment before you reach terminal. The biggest guy I ever took was 305 lbs. It depends on the individuals build. Tall long armed bigger people have more surface area so terminal isn't as fast but when you take some one who is shorter that weighs a lot well you will be screaming through freefall you tell me if you want to be going terminal when you pull the drogue release. Had a tandem mal with a student who weighed 245ish and four lines broke on opening......... I got spring fever.........I can't come in today.............. Seb

Stuff like that is a pain in the A** $100 to get your car back though is better than what it would have cost if you got a DUI or DWI.....

So I found this web sight called Dropzone.com. Cool stories on the main page then I discovered the forums one night drinking about skydiving during the middle of the week. And I did some snooping which eventually led to my first post. Then one turned to five and five to twenty and before I had even realized what happened I was living in a card board box with no clothes on quickly approaching 300 posts............ Well this is actually my 299th, but I just want to say thanks to the folks who post here. It gives me some sanity in this normal world I live in during the week......... Especially in California. You will get carded because the fines are big. In palo Alto the police have kids that look liek thirty cruise aroung from store to store or restaurants trying to get cigs and booze. Store and restaurant owner shave wisened up. But yes I have recently been carded more for cigs than booze? I think the cigs are worse for you............ I got spring fever.........I can't come in today.............. Seb
