Getting to Perris is looking grim right now. There wil have to be some sneaky manuevers on my part to get over there from Elsinore. The things I see as common problems for AFF students in freefall is leg awareness issues. It seems common to see students with heels on their butts or knees reall reall far apart, but we have signals to correct that. Canopy control is very very important. Locating the landing area and staying upwind of your target are mucho important and performing the correct landing pattern. We had a student who's radio cut out on him and the approach and landing were just ugly... At our DZ we have students pay for their pack job on their main but not the reserve. Unless of course they pop it on the ground or something accidently.... I got spring fever.........I can't come in today.............. Seb

Don't do that..........Let it heal.........Just advice though cause when I broke my ankle two years ago I thought about jumping but I waited. I could have though. Sorry about your injury hope you heal quickly........

Tom I was thinking about the sunset load yesterday and um I definately think you owe beer for that! Yup you do owe beer for that for sure! So you better change that to 0(my wife was at home with the kid while i was skydiving):10:1(big ass case of beer for saving that dudes life) Hehehehe.............You'll never be higher on the wheel then me...mwahahahahahahaa............... You are exempt from beer rules until you graduate AFF when you will purchase your first skydiving related case of beer. Ooops first skydiving related case of beer? D'oh thats another case. Hehehehe........... I got spring fever.........I can't come in today.............. Seb

0:18:0 It was an epic weekend. So clear and sunny here in Monterey. Not a lot of students on Sat. so I was able to do a couple of fun jumps and on Sunday I did 11 AFF jumps. Friken nuts. The winds were light and the surf was up baby! Lookin forward to this weekend in Perris........... I got spring fever.........I can't come in today.............. Seb

There are absolutely some poor instructors out there. But one inportant thing to think about is the student themselves. Some times teaching some people is very hard and you have to adjust to match their personality and so on. Some folks just don't match But I have seen the students that come in and are listening to me and are pretty much like "yeah yeah whatever just let me outta the plane" attitude. Some people you have to shock them or be a dick to get the required response. Some people it just takes extra training. A lot of people do not belong in the sport for their own good and our own good. But it takes several several jumps before I or other instructors at out DZ get discouraged. But if someone quits skydiving and blames their instructors you must realize that it's just an excuse. But again skydiving isn't politely exiting an aircraft anf floating like a leaf to the ground. I got spring fever.........I can't come in today.............. Seb

I am not really interested in the olympics myself but the idea I heard recently of having an equal amount of judges from each hemisphere judging all at the same time then having a computer randomly select some of the scores sounds pretty fair. What happened to just being proud of making it to the olympics? It's supposed to be about good sportsmanship and being a gracious loser or winner........
