I forgot to buckle my frap hat four weeks ago. Pro dyter in the hat and the frap hat came off in freefall. Saw it too. That hat had sentimental value. had it since I started jumping................. One of these days i'll take a walk around and see if it's lying out in a field or in bush somewhere............ Sebazz............

Is it working? It took two try's to get this. Exiting with freeflyers and belly fliers is something that takes a little practice. It's funny how when things go to crap and people want to return to a neutral position the freaks sit and the belly kids arch................... Till next week. 4way with 4legs....................... You need to go out to the Dz and listen to some old timers talk. You will hear some crazy crazy s**t. The DZO at the first DZ I went to has been jumping since the beggining of time. He was talking to me about the days when they were jumping rounds. Sometimes when the winds were too high people would do some really stupid things on the ground (nothings changed there)........Like hooking up the skydiver/rig/canopy to the back of a truck and go! Nuts. He also told me they would see who could jump from the highest point and stick their landings. Idiots climbing to the top of the roof or ladder out and jumping off. F'n Nuts!! They would try to stick their landings from screwed up heights. He didn't want to go into details but he said several people broke legs and other things. Smoking on the way to altitude - climbing out on the strut with your cig still in your mouth - low pull competitions.................. Funny story. I was out at the DZ during the weekday and these two really old looking guys came out. I picked up the fourth slot so I could get the cessna out and jump with these guys. They wre telling me that in the old days of rounds they wanted zero winds and that nowa days with squares they prayed for a moderate breeze cause these guys could not run out a landing let alone maybe even take two steps to land. One guy biffed really good but he just shrugged it off. It was one of the funnest jumps I ever did. After I broke at 4,000 and dumped at 3,000 these two continued to like 2,000 or lower before they dumped. Guess that was normal for them. Crazy Crazy. One of em had a D lic. under 100. I got my log book signed. Go to the DZ for the best stories.................... I don't have anything that good yet or I just haven't learned how to bullshit that good yet...... Sebazz............

I had a friend who was a conservative canopy pilot and did not fly a high performance canopy. He did an aggressive turn close to the ground and died....Nobody knows why he did it. Either way we miss him. I am sorry for your loss and the loss to our community..................... Blue Skies.............. Sebazz............

They say it's the second bounce that kills you, so when you first hit the ground hang on to the ground as hard as psssible so you don't bounce...............lol.........

Every once in a while you gotta take a weekend/month off or so, clear your head or whatever, just get away from the DZ. I have been in the sport for 5 years and plan to do it for the rest of my life but sometimes it gets thick with BS at the DZ. I've seen people come and go. Like the tides............. Carmel is very pretty. Home to some super wealthy people and Pebbel Beach and more. Some cool artists in the area as well. Exellent wineries........ Plus just south you have Big Sur. One of the most epic beautiful highway stretches in the world. Hey Viking did you realize you wer so close to the Monterey DZ? Shoulda come by............................ Sebazz............

It depends......... As for your main being packed I would tip at the end of the day and not foe evry pack job.... It depends who re-packs yuor reserve. If it is a good friend a six/twelve pack of beer or a little green nug will suffice. if it is soemone you you don't know? I've never had my reserve repacked by someone I did not know.
