well, there is the fact that we can't skydive 6 months of the year... horrendous income tax to pay for our 'free' healthcare and our wonderful unemplyment insurance system (and i work for the gov't agency in charge of that!!). oh well, i can drive for 24 hours in the winter and be in skydiving country... skydive moncton, moncton, nb, ca 1 c-182 until hallowe'en, then nuttin' until we find the runway again in april.

we pay $25 + GST ($28.75 CDN, ~$19 USD) for 10500 in our 182. gear rental is $10, which seems cheap from what i've seen mentioned elsewhere. add another $11 for jumpmaster/radio and $4 for a packjob and you get $50 plus tax for a student jump.
